I purchased eye glasses from this place 3 years ago, it was my first time ever getting glasses, which I told them, and that I was completely ignorant of wearing glasses, picking them out, etc.First, almost my entire eye exam was conducted by someone that assisted the doctor, and only saw the doctor a VERY few minutes, inspite of having very complicated vision issues (astigmatism & an old injury while in the Navy). THe Doctor also seemed to be in quite the hurry to finish with me and move on to the next person, rushing and barely answering questions and concerns.My second and biggest issue was I purchased two pair, one Progressive tri-focals and one only for distance. The person assisting me with picking the frames out allowed me to opt for the narrower (height wise) lens to be used for the Progressive tri-focals and the deeper (height wise) lens to be used for the distance only lens. Anyone that's had glasses, would know that, that was exactly opposite of what each glasses frame should have been used for. They knew I didnt know any better, and never said a word about the advantages of using each frame for the opposite of what I selected them for.The third issue was there prices...VERY expensive!I'm posting this 3 years later because today I went to the Vision Center at Sam's Flagstaff. The Assistant did a brief pre-test, the Doctor did ALL of the vision testing, took her time in fully answering questions and concerns and did a wonderfully thorough job with the exam!The Assistant then did all the proper measurements for my Progressives and was wonderful as well.I don't mind paying higher prices for items and services when the work, quality and service match, BUT...in this case, I must say that with everything involved, Sam's Vision Center was FAR Superior!

I had a great customer experience at the Southwestern Eye Center in Sedona. It was a very clean facility and has very professional people and welcoming staff. The process was quick and got me in and out quickly. I especially recommend seeing Dr. Pasco. He took the time to explain all the procedures I underwent and let me know I need to do next. The center also has a huge selection of frames and lens choices too. I recommend you buy your next pair of glasses there as it is the best way to ensure your prescription is filled most accurately. I was extremely satisfied and will return there in the future.

Place came highly recommended. Very standard care. The issue is that they don't carry my contacts and prescribed me a brand that I can't afford. When I tried to get them to change it they became very rude and told me I would have to go back for another appointment (two towns away) instead of just changing the script so I could purchase them somewhere else. I will never do business here again and would recommend nobody else do either. All they care about is money.

Always a calming place to have my eye exam. Staff is friendly and helpful. If one is a bit nervous as I can be, the competent staff and explanation of procedures is reassuring. If new glasses are needed they have a good selection.
