When I began looking into Top Surgery I was overwhelmed. There are so many doctors who have different techniques and practices and they are spread out. I saw Dr. Beck and loved his results but saw he was in NC and I lived in NY. I was concerned about going that far with such a big surgery. I discussed my options with my GF and she singled out Dr. Beck as well and said We will figure it out because this is who we need to see. I contacted their office and the very first person I spoke to was extremely helpful and kind. I immediately received all the information I requested and then some. I scheduled the consultation and went to visit him in person. His bedside manner is so genuine and hospitable and Joy was equally heartfelt. They wanted to know what my goal was and what I expected out of my results. He listens and showed me what he was going to do and how. They asked how and why we chose them and how we found them and they were extremely grateful that we had selected them as part of my journey. Dr. Beck has two well known practices (NC & CA) and he alternates, but let me assure you. I called...a lot and his staff is fantastic. They handled everything. They helped with insurance stuff and medications and documents. You name it they took care of it. You are in good hands with everyone in the office. I never once doubted my decision in Dr. Beck. I had a follow up virtual with Dr. Beck before surgery and worked out any lingering questions I had. He listened to my concerns and what I wanted and was real about what he thought may or may not happen. My results came out great. I had my surgery June 9 2020. COVID pushed back my original date, but that only allowed their staff and my insurance to iron out the last bit of details. I am now 2 weeks post op and I have seen Joy twice for each of my follow up in person and she is skilled, kind, compassionate and a loving person who makes you feel taken care of and in capable hands. Since I live so far they were super accommodating and helpful and made sure I was taken care of. I chose to do in person 2nd follow up to be safe, but they were willing to do whatever I needed. I am to have another virtual with Dr. Beck next week. I can not thank Dr. Beck and his staff enough. During the entire process they called me my preferred name and never once mislabeled me or made me feel less than what I am. I may be freshly cut, but i finally am not ashamed of my chest and walk around knowing I look the way I feel. I highly recommend them to anyone

I cant say enough about Dr Beck and the experience I had. I had a breast augmentation done and couldnt be happier. Hes very honest and upfront about what to expect and possible outcomes. I love the way I look now. As a trans patient, Dr Beck doesnt do cosmetic surgery, he changes lives. Forever grateful, thank you Dr Beck.

My experience with Dr. Beck was very unique. Im the type of person where I have to feel a connection or just something in order for me to proceed with anything I do. With Dr. Beck all I can say is I felt IT. I was going for a top surgery consultation and to be quite honest I was nervous. Being in the LGBT community you find doctors to be assholes and just flat out rude and you feel just almost like you arent human. So I was really nervous on how he was going to approach my situation. Once I walked through the doors the ladies up front were more than welcoming. They make you feel normal and welcomed, which for me was a huge factor because Im not open about being trans. So I went back and put on the blue vest and yes its weird having a doctor look and touch your chest, BUT the way he made me feel was very comfortable and normal. The biggest thing for me was he listened. I cant stress that enough. I went to see 2 other doctors besides Beck and I knew once I met with him that he was that one. He had comparison pictures of someone who was the same age as me and the same fair skin. He explains everything so thoroughly that you feel like you know exactly whats going to happen. For me, like most trans men, we want to have the keyhole surgery. As you know its rare and most people have to have double incision. I expressed how I felt about that to him and he listened. He understood how I felt about the scars and how I really didnt want my incision to connect. So he did exactly that and that right there is everything you could ask for in a doctor. He looks like a hard ass dont get me wrong, but hes really caring, understanding, passionate, and believe it or not very loving. I highly recommend Dr. Beck over anyone in this area. He doesnt take the easy way out like most doctors, Dr. Mossor, and makes you feel normal. I absolutely love Dr. Beck and Im not too fond of people haha so trust me he is the right guy for the LGBT community.

Like most men or people who are happy with a service I never write a review. I take this one more serious because these reviews are how I found Dr. Beck. I think plastic surgery reviews are sometimes hard to translate especially the negative ones and I can say if you find one about Dr. Beck or his office ignore them because they must be people who cant be pleased. I Think my experience was amazing for many reasons but best one was he never promised perfection he promised improvement and thats honestly all anyone can look for. Consultation Day. I was nervous compounded by being a guy going in for liposuction and its a voluntary surgery makes you think twice. I lost 82lbs on my own and go to gym 6 days a week. I am in good shape except for love handles and abdominal fat that wouldn't go away. I went in and he made me feel extremely comfortable that day his entire staff is about ass loving as it comes. He told me that I would see improvement and it would be noticeable but never set my hopes to high and I really appreciated that.A good number of people in his office have had something done by him and they talk about it so it helps you feel more comfortable overall. I will not see all the results until 5 months from now when my body has fully healed but at 4 weeks I am beyond happy. It shows more each week as skin is tighter and swelling decreases. I would do it again in a second and I would fly here for the procedure if I didn't live here. He wants your results to look great and never did I once feel like it was a money making thing. He is an amazing Doctor and well worth you putting your trust in his abilities because he is really good at what he does.

My son Wesley went to Dr. Beck for the first step of many in his transgender surgeries. Dr. Beck was very thorough and explained everything that was going to happen during Wesley's top surgery and lyppo sculpting to get a more masculine body shape.What to expect after surgery and what could go wrong. His staff was as amazing as he was! They are all very comforting and answer any and all questions I can't believe how great the scars look and how well they are healing. The way he has sutured them there will be very little scar to notice when all is healed.I'm actually thinking of going to Dr.Beck for lyppo sculpting on my inner thighs, hips, flanks and arms. A BIG THANK YOU , To Dr. Beck and his staff !!!!

I went for my consultation on November 24th, 2014 for my Breast Augmentation, Dr. Beck and I discussed with me what sizes and outcomes I desired with my breast augmentation. He took the time to listen to my desires and give me realistic outcomes and helped me choose a size and style implant that was right for my goals and body type. Dr. Beck is an amazing doctor who takes the time to listen and give you a realistic and happy result for your desired procedure. It has been a week since my surgery, and I have absolutely no pain, the slight bruising i had from surgery (common) is almost gone, the incision line under the breast crease is almost entirely sealed up and almost invisible. Overall i think the operation was a success and i am loving the results so far!

I have had multiple surgeries with Dr. Beck, his caring approach and professionalism has always been outstanding! In 2010 he did a brow lift, cheek implants, and breast augmentation on me; I returned in 2012 and he did a tummy tuck on me. I will be returning again in February of 2013 for a bit of smartlipo to a problem area. Every visit I make to the office has been wonderful, all consultations and appointments are kept on time. ALL of the office staff are always so sweet; I consider them all good friends everytime I visit to SF. Jasmine does a wonderful job covering all the necessary things prior to all the procedures. Dr. Beck has always covered each procedure with me prior while urging me to not change things that shouldn't be changed.
