A few weeks ago i had my Rhino/septoplasty done with Dr. Rawnsley and all i can say is WOW! I am SO thankful and happy with the results. Prior to going to him i did SO much research on different surgeons that can fix both my broken septum and the overall appearance of my nose and Dr. Rawnsley is the one that i trusted my face with. My nose looks perfect for my face now, it looks as if i was naturally born with a cute nose! What i also love about Dr. Rawnsley is that he isnt only a great surgeon hes also such a great person! He has a very comforting and calm presence. Also, everyone that works in his office are always super sweet and friendly! Such an amazing and flawless experience!

My daughter had Rhinoplasty surgery for a deviated septum 6 years ago. Although the doctor and staff were very nice, she has a bump on the side of her nose that has not gone away. Her breathing did not improve either. Overall she likes the look of her nose, unfortunately she will need to have another surgery to correct the problem.

I consulted with 3 different closed-rhinoplasty specialist in the Los Angeles area. Dr. Rawnsley was last, due to pricing, and I had booked another doctor before ever getting to consult with him who then cancelled me, so I went back and revisited and I'm so glad I got to have the perfect professional in the end. 120% excellent, just what I was looking for. Someone who was confident and patient with many, many questions, has an excellent grasp of what is aesthetically pleasing from one person to the next AND the skills to bring it to fruition. He does the forecast computer imaging himself which gives you the chance to see exactly how he works: methodically and carefully. He understands the importance of his work from a psychological perspective and making sure patients feel heard and valued, as will his assistant Suzanne. Surgery happens at UCLA surgery center where the doctors, nurses, aestheticians and staff take great care of you. I loved that he does not use packing, has a delicate touch (not that I know during surgery but everything else), and takes time to make sure everything is done correctly the first time. The surgery experience was truly like a blink of an eye and could have done without pain killers for all of recovery as well. At 3 months post-op I see myself looking more and more like the projected photos all the time and no one notices the difference, but do tell me I look great- a perfect outcome!

As a sixty-year-old, I am cautious about anesthesia and surgery. I want to avoid surgical procedures unless they are absolutely necessary. I met Dr. Rawnsley in 2002 after a car accident. He performed three reconstructive procedures on my face. Over the years, I've returned to him regularly for Botox and Restylane injections. Lately, however, my age has been catching up with me, and the results make me appear tired and a bit frail. I looked into trying minimally invasive treatments but, because he knew me and had the insight to understand the outcome I was hoping for, he advised that I could achieve more significant and longer-lasting results with a modified face and neck lift. I followed his advice and opted for the surgery. It has been ten days since; I am ready to resume my normal activities, and I am overjoyed with the results. I now appear to be about twelve-fifteen years younger! In the sixteen years that I've known Dr. Rawnsley, he's performed three reconstructions and one enhancement procedure. In each case, his talent, skill, dedication, and aesthetic judgment have been exemplary!

As the mother of a 17 year old, I was very concerned about the prospect of a rhinoplasty/septoplasty for my 17 year old. We were in search of a surgeon who not only performs a stellar job on the rhinoplasty but is also skilled in septoplasty. Another major area of concern for me was the post-op pain management. After we met with Dr. Rawnsley, he addressed all of the issues and our concerns. His demeaner and relatability to my daughter was wonderful, he took his time and patience to walk her through the entire procedure, explaining in clear detail all along. Needless to say, the surgery went amazingly well!! He performed both procedures WITHOUT an incision!! Not only does she not have any visible scarring, the recovery process was incredibly fast! My daughter doesnt have a very high threshold for pain but aside from 3 days post-op of requiring some medication, it was pretty painless and she didnt require any further medication. The results of the septoplasty were apparent about a month post-op when she experienced much easier breathing from her nose. We are 6 months post-op now and the results are phenomenal. She doesnt have any visible swelling left and the outcome of the rhinoplasty is a very natural, appealing nose that suits her face and features perfectly. Dr. Rawnsley demonstrates a level of skill and artistry that very few can compare to. I would highly recommend Dr. Rawnsley!!

This was not my first stop in my conquest for revision rhinoplasty, but it was my final; before the consultation was complete, I knew Dr Rawnsley was the right doctor. Dr Rawnsley is a fine balance of a totally skilled and talented expert in his field, who is also very easy to talk to-meaning he listens. I had no doubt that the plan for my surgery was in line with what I wanted. I would not have gone under the knife without being completely confident in my doctor, and my results are the testimony to that confidence. I endorse comparative shopping for any big decision; Dr Rawnsley ended up being incomparable. I would add that his entire office represents the caliber of his skills. Suzanne is entirely kind and easy to communicate with; her support made it all very easy. I really did not think I would ever post a public review for my 'nose job' but I would be remiss not to in this case.

I went into my rhinoplasty hoping to no longer feel uncomfortable when people looked at my bumped/curved nose profile and crooked nose from almost all angles. I did not expect to end up with a perfect nose, but that's what I got. I am having a hard time grasping how a rhinoplasty can create a nose that looks so beautiful and natural. Dr. Rawnsley retained certain aspects of my nose that did not need to be messed with and completely straightened the bump and crookedness, which resulted from past trauma. I am one week and two days out, and my nose looks beautiful, with little to no swelling.Post-Op Experience:I was more than pleasantly surprised. I had no bruising and minor swelling that lasted a few days and then reduced to little to nothing. I felt no pain at all, and that's not an exaggeration. Just slight discomfort from having a congested-feeling nose for 5 days. I went in for surgery on Friday and back to work on Monday, and I was breathing through my nose again in 5 days. I did not take a single pain pill nor Tylenol day of surgery or any time after. I didnt feel like I had surgery, and I was shocked to have full energy and want to walk around the day of and day after the surgery. Now, one week later, my friends and family marvel at how well my nose complements the rest of my face. Feelings:This gave me permanent relief and a major confidence boost. I am not only no longer hiding my profile with a curtain of hair; I am pulling my hair back to show off a pleasant face. And best of all, I look like myself. Just with a beautiful nose. And I never thought I would say those words.

I never 'needed' rhinoplasty until I turned 27. Over the course of my life, I noticed my nose started to change, and sharpen along the bridge. It kept growing, and I became very self-conscious about how it photographed. When I started to research surgeons, I became even more stressed! A lot of the work I saw was awful. Looking at before and after pictures from other surgeons scared me away from pursuing rhinoplasty further. I am very picky, and was worried I would end up with a nose worse than before. Other surgeons gave their patients the 'same' nose, or a really textbook nose, not right for the person's unique face. I was worried I wouldn't look like myself. After all, I wanted to make subtle changes, and every nose I saw did not make me believe my desires were possible. After starting and stopping research throughout 3 years, I was finally lead to one special doctor, Dr. Rawnsley. Once I saw Dr. Rawnsley's before and after pictures, I immediately knew I found my doctor. I scheduled an appointment with the very kind and gracious Suzanne (who is a complete doll! very patient, compassionate, and truly helpful throughout the process. It took me over a year to schedule my surgery, and she was so gracious with my scheduling needs.) I meet with Dr. Rawnsley, who was the only doctor I consulted with about Rhinoplasty. During my consultant, he worked his magic on the computer imaging software. It's like he knew what I wanted, without me even telling him! Once he completed his recommendation for me, I knew no other doctor would be able to deliver on those results. The imaging of my nose was exactly what I wanted, and we were on the same page as to what would look best. I absolutely trusted him.Day of surgery, everything went great. UCLA is amazing, and I got the best bedside manner, not just from Dr. Rawnsley, but by everyone, from the nurses to the anesthesiologist. His team is incredible. The people were non-judgment about my surgery, but so supportive and nurturing. I enjoyed the surgery process so much, because I had so much trust for Dr. Rawnsley and his team. Post op day 1 and 2 were the worst, but thanks to all the arnica Suzanne gave me, the bruising was kept at bay. I only had bruising on my eye lids. Some people get black eyes, but I followed the pre-op recommendations, and deeply believe it helped me so much. I had a few headaches, but no nose pain. Breathing can be tough during this time, because of the scabs and congestion. By day 5, the swelling had dramatically decreased. I never had doubts during my post-op week. I had wanted this for so long, and I trusted Dr. Rawnsley so much, I knew I just had to get through the week to reap the rewards. When I had my cast removed, I was so amazed by the results. My nose looked great, even through all the swelling. The cast on my nose removed all the black heads, so that was amazing. I went home, took lots of pictures of my profile, and kept on staring at the mirror. I was so happy! I looked like myself. The changes were subtle enough that I still looked like me. My friends that know me very well, were so impressed. They kept on saying, wow, I can REALLY see your eyes now!Im so happy I went to Dr. Rawnsley. Hes not like one of those doctors that does plastic surgery everywhere on the body like lipo, breasts, etc. What I loved about him the most is that rhinoplasty is his specialty (facial aesthesis, only focusing on plastic surgery or the face). He was so kind and compassionate through the entire journey. If you are considering this surgery, Dr. Rawnsley is the best investment you can make. Its better to get it done right by Dr.Rawnsley first, instead of getting it does somewhere else, only to hate your results and have to further spend on revisions. I rarely ever write reviews for anything, but I felt compelled to write one for Dr. Rawnsley. From the moment I met Dr. Rawnsley, he has been nothing but trustworthy, understanding, approachable, and professional. During our consultation, he was willing to spend as much time as I needed to go over all my questions and concerns, and also showed me a simulation of what he planned to do for my nose. I was very impressed as he addressed everything that I thought needed to be fixed on my nose. After the consultation, I felt so relieved to have found a genuine and trustworthy surgeon who wanted only the best for me. Overall, Dr. Rawnsley not only has the qualification, but the expertise necessary to perform rhinoplasty at an extraordinarily high level. It's now been a couple weeks after my surgery, and although I am still swollen, I am in LOVE my nose!! I have always been self-conscious about my side profile because of the hump that I had, but now I have an amazing side profile that I just can't stop taking pictures of. He really has a vision and knows what fits with your face. Also, Dr. Rawnsley's office manager, Suzanne, is so sweet, welcoming and professional. Every time I emailed her, I received an email back within an hour or two, with a detailed response that answered all my questions and concerns. I could not be more grateful and thankful to Dr. Rawnsley, who has truly changed my life and the way I see and feel about myself and my appearance.I had rhinoplasty many years ago and disliked the results, it did not suit my face and I was always so self conscious of it. Dr. Rawnsley immediately identified the problems with my previous surgery and suggested changes that matched my face, so my nose blended in and looked perfect. I felt very confident with Dr. Rawnsley and made the decision to proceed quickly.On the day of the surgery, I was not nervous. However literally five minutes before, I wanted to make a slight change to what we has agreed. I was so impressed with the way Dr. Rawnsley handled this and we agreed a slight change in a couple of minutes. I wonder if other surgeons would not want to make changes right before the surgery - but I think Dr. Rawnsley is such a talented surgeon he can handle anything.The surgery went so well and I was comfortable after coming round. There was a bit of swelling and no bruising. I could see the improvement even with the cast on. After the cast was removed, I was amazed! And now 4 weeks after surgery, I am so very happy! The swelling has really gone down and it is healing up nicely. I am so proud of my look and stopped feeling self conscious immediately.I can't believe how Dr. Rawnsley was able to turn the old nose into this! It is just perfect and its the look I should have had the first time around! The skill involved is incredible.I am so very grateful to Dr. Rawnsley, for his care, expertise and authenticity - Dr. Rawnsley is really a first class plastic surgeon - and this comes through in the consultation. My experience with Dr. Rawnsley could not have been better. If you read nothing else in this long saga, read this: Dr. Rawnsley is a master in his field--his attention to detail and patience is so obvious from the amazingly natural, refined results he is able to achieve (just look at his before and after pictures on his website--phenomenal). I am so happy I went with Dr. Rawnsley and could not recommend him more strongly! In addition, Suzanne, his assistant, is amazing. She is so genuinely happy to meet you and will ensure your interactions with the office go smoothly.My story: I broke my nose playing soccer as a teen, and had my original rhinoplasty from a plastic surgeon in my Michigan hometown in my early 20s. I was unhappy with the results (which were minimal, to say the least), and when I went back to my original doctor for a consultation, he blew me off. I decided to seek an opinion from other doctors who specialized in facial surgery (my original doctor did not). After consulting several physicians in Chicago, Detroit, and Los Angeles, Dr. Rawnsley stood out to me. He was disinterested in giving me a cookie-cutter nose that I could pick out of a magazine and focused on refining the nose I already had in subtle, natural ways. He intently listened to me as I explained my dissatisfaction with my previous physician and focused on what he could do to address my concerns. The initial appointment was quick and efficient--Dr. Rawnsley himself took my photos and edited my imaging right before my eyes so that I could see what results I could expect. He patiently and confidently answered each of my questions about his experience (particularly with revisions and out of state patients). Kind, attentive, and extremely qualified, Dr. Rawnsley was the clear pick for me! When I booked my surgery, Suzanne promptly sent me all of the information I could possibly need regarding pre- and post-op procedures, medication to avoid, etc. Suzanne herself is a gem. She is incredibly organized, responsive, and bubbly. She makes you feel welcome the second you enter the office, and her kind energy and high spirits made me feel relaxed and excited for my surgery. After I booked with Dr. Rawnsley, and a couple weeks before my surgery, I had just one additional Skype appointment with Dr. Rawnsley so that he could answer any lingering questions I had and discuss 'the plan' for my new nose. Since I didn't have too many questions, this appointment was really a chance for Suzanne (again, Dr. Rawnsley's fabulous assistant) to review all the pre-op and post-op information that she had sent me months before. I appreciated that Suzanne took the time to go over every single one of the important points with me during my Skype appointment rather than telling me to just re-read her e-mails. The day of my surgery was a breeze. The UCLA nurses and doctors who checked me in and completed my pre-op workup were all phenomenal. They all spoke so incredibly highly of Dr. Rawnsley that I was put right at ease despite moments away from a long surgery. Dr. Rawnsley and the fellow working with him both came in to see me and again go over our plan for my new nose. With my pre-surgery nerves, I reiterated that I wanted a natural-looking nose above all else. Of course Dr. Rawnsley assured me that he had the same goal and that he would make it happen...and he did!I am so freaking happy with Dr. Rawnsley's work that sometimes I look in the mirror and want to cry of joy. I still look like myself, but what I think is the best version of my self. Deciding to have rhinoplasty is a huge decision. Deciding to have a revision rhinoplasty is even scarier. But Dr. Rawnsley and Suzanne made the process as stress-free as possible, and I cannot thank them enough.

I am 17 days post op for a cosmetic rhinoplasty with Dr. Rawnsley. I couldnt be happier with the results so far he corrected major flaws (a droopy tip / that moved when I talked / and a hump) and kept my nose looking completely natural. I chose Dr. Rawnsley after pouring over BeforeAfter photos on websites of a small list of surgeons with the best technical credentials: board certified, rhinoplasty specialization, extensive rhinoplasty experience, ENT, university-affiliated/vetted, and top medical and formal training. Beyond technical qualifications, his talent and aesthetic skill and grace is remarkable. Due to deftness/dexterity or vision or something, we appreciate that surgeons with similar training and experience differ in quality of results. The photos on his website speak for themselves. His rhinoplasty results are the most beautiful and natural of any of the surgeons I was considering. My procedure was an open rhinoplasty. The small incision is healing quickly: there is no scar; the area is completely seamless, with a little pink which should fade. I had minimal bruising following surgery, which cleared. My cast/splint was removed on day 8 and I looked ready to go back to my routine. Ive read unsettling testimonies online where patients with other surgeons had considerable swelling 1,2,3 weeks out and/or were uncomfortable with the interim appearance/results and thinking about revisions. This hasnt been my experience at all, and Im so thankful to Dr. Rawnsley for the successful surgery and the easy and smooth recovery. Also, this was my first time having surgery and his patient coordinator/office manager Suzanne was such a helpful resource and support.

I am a skin cancer patient at UCLA and had a cancerous lesion removed using Mohs Skin Cancer Surgery. The surgery was at the top of my nose and corner of my right eye. Dr. Rawnsley botched the repair surgery and my eye and nose region is now webbed. I went back to him and he shot corticosteroid injections into the surgery sight on several occasions. I said, 'I fail to see how Cortisone injections will get rid of a webbed eye.' I went back to have my sutures removed and he always found more to remove, even one month later. Another patient was talking with me about his surgery and he told me the doctor had left sutures in that was supposed to come out after the first week and confided that Dr. Rawnsley was his surgeon as well. Ah-ha, I thought to myself, this Dr. Rawnsley is a 'Quack!' I should have done more research. I needed an ocular surgeon that specializes in this area. I'm an actor and the botched surgery has impacted my acting career. Dr. Rawnsley referred me to Dr. Goldberg at UCLA and he said he couldn't fix it. I got a referral to Dr. Norman Shorr, who said the scarring might be worse if I were to try and correct the webbing. I sought out yet another specialist, Dr. Theresa Boxrud, and it's funny how she said, 'There is a technique we use so webbing doesn't occur.' Unfortunately, Dr. Rawnsley didn't use this technique that ocular surgeons use. Dr. Boxrud said it would take two surgeries to correct it, but said there would be scarring. I have decided to live with this facial deformity. I would warn you to do your research first and choose wisely. I advise everyone to avoid Dr. Rawnsley, who in my humble opinion, is a poor excuse for a 'head and neck surgeon,' and has caused me insurmountable damage. He performed two other elective surgeries at the same time and two out of the three surgeries were a disaster. This is a reflection on all of UCLA. There are a lot of 'good apples,' but it only takes one 'Rotten Apple' to ruin the whole bunch.

I was nervous to do it at first, not knowing if it would look natural, but I’m so happy I wentt through with it. It’s just exactly the subtle lift I was looking for.
