Watson Clinic Highlands Reviews

I'm a fan who would have given 5 stars to Watson Highlands PT but I noticed that a few of its hardworking and highly-qualified therapists have NOT been wearing masks since Monday. Today, for the first time, I saw a couple of patients with no masks, perhaps emulating their example and what our nation's top leadership has been sadly modeling eversince. Incidentally, our Lakeland leaders voted two days ago not to make mask-wearing mandatory despite Florida's swiftly-rising covid-19 cases. An ironic scene: one of the mask-intolerant staff members was sanitizing one of the equipment while engaged in an animated conversation with a colleague. Do I need to worry that there would still be residues in that equipment if directed to use it? I have cardiac challenges to deal with, and I'm glad that the DPT assigned to my case never jetissons his mask. I hope he will stick to this safe and mitigating practice, no matter how some people have been equating it to mere political correctness, instead of it being embraced as a sound measure to keep a treatment space from becoming a petri dish.

Watson Clinics OB office is a joke. For every appointment weve ever had here we havent gone in on time, the earliest weve gotten seen was 20 minutes after our appointment started. Who is going to reimburse us for all of this time missed from work in the waiting room? Last time we got here they were an hour and a half behind on their appointments. When our next child happens we will be finding another local OB, definitely never using this puppy-mill of a clinic again.

I had a great experience!! I was seen in less than 10 minutes and Holly Payne was very excellent! She answered all my questions before I even asked them lol! The overall visit was very quick which was exactly what I needed too. I definitely recommend Holly Payne!

The Pediatric Dept here is so off track it's scary!! This was my first time visiting this location and also my first time walking out on a Dr. I have never met a physician who was so quick to throw their hands up, offer zero assistance, and also have such little knowledge! And my poor child suffered the most partly because it took 2 1/2 months to even get in. Oh, and don't bother trying to send Watson Clinic your previous records! Not only did they not follow through or ck up on this process for my child, the same thing happened for myself when I saw my own Primary Care Dr. How can you provide care for patients when you don't have their past info or don't even attempted to review them before seeing the patient!? From the outside, this place looks top notch. But once you try to get treatment here, looks mean nothing! This place is bottom of the barrel!

Read whole review.I strongly recommend that you do not use this clinic if you respect yourself or need actual care. I am ADHD and so is my brother and my sister. I've been seeing them for 6 months for a prescription called Vyvanse. I have had to go through stimulate withdrawal and find another doctor because doctor Recto's office can't be bothered to respond to my calls or voicemais and it would seem none of their staff can help either. I hope this review helps others not waste their time with a business that doesn't value it customer's needs. I say business because clearly they are not running a clinic.

Love almost everything about Watson Clinic. I love Dr Katzmann and his nurse , Robin and Dr Sparks. HATE Dr Remmer and don't care for Dr Desai. Watson Clinic in general provides the best medical care in Polk County.

Terrible service. I went in as a new patient and the nurse practitioner, William Keeler, pretty much had an answer to all my problems within seconds before listening to all of my complaints. I had to mention multiple times I had a lump in my neck for him to actually order any additional testing. Then I had an ultrasound done, a week went by with no call or message from the doctor. I wrote him a message asking for results on my ultrasound (those should not take a week), and he said oh I though the radiologist called you. The radiologist NEVER calls about results. He gives them to the doctor and the doctor follows up with the patient. The results showed follow up testing was recommended. The dr knew I was concerned and then scheduled a CT for three days out. But never got it approved by my insurance. If he thought it was urgent, he would have marked urgent & the insurance company would have approved it right away. So the day I was scheduled for my CT, I got a call that it wasnt approved and I had to reschedule two weeks out. I ended up going to the ER to have tests done due to this lump in my neck and multiple dizzy/double vision episodes that effected my driving. The dr was not concerned AT ALL! I dont even know how he is a nurse practitioner. Watson Clinic should fire him.

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Sparks for today, 4/22/19, months in advance. I got a call this morning during my EOS pharmacy school exam and the voicemail left stated that they had to cancel my appointment due to technical difficulties and to call scheduling to reschedule it. When I called, they had no idea what I was talking about. I called Dr. Sparks care team and the next available appointment is a month in advance even though it was THEIR fault my appointment was cancelled. The lady I spoke to was horribly rude and nasty sounding when I questioned her about the next available appointment date. Horrible customer service. How can you make the patient feel like an inconvenience when you're the one who messed up my appointment??

My wife went to Dr. Langleys office for an annual visit. During her time with Nurse Practitioner Holly Payne, my wife asked questions related to her period, pregnancy etc. Typically, when seeing a physician or otherwise qualified medical professional, a patient should feel free to ask questions; so my wife did. Weeks later, we realized that Dr. Langleys office charged $135 twice; one charge for the annual visit and the second charge because Mrs. Payne answered questions during the visit which we learned costs extra... $135 extra. When I queried the additional charge thinking it was erroneous that an extra office visit could be charged for just having questions answered (no treatment otherwise), Mrs. Payne indicated the charge would not be removed because she answered my wifes questions and thus provided treatment beyond the scope of her annual visit. I reviewed the Florida Patient Bill of Rights on Watson Clinics website (Dr. Langleys office is located at Watson Clinic) and bullet number eleven states A patient has a right to receive prior to treatment a reasonable estimate of charges for medical care. When I informed Mrs. Payne of this right, and that my wife was not forewarned of charges that were added from her questions, Mrs. Payne stated that the patient must ask for the estimate and that her office was under no obligation to provide it unless asked. This seemed odd to me given that questions are at times spontaneous and come up during the actual visit. Accordingly, how can you ask for an estimate for treatment when you would first have to ask your questions in order to be provided treatment options? By their standard, a patient would ask a question, but before being answered, the patient would have to stop the medical professional and ask for an estimate for the answer about to be provided. Furthermore, how is a patient to know in the first place that by her asking questions, and having those questions answered, that she would technically be receiving treatment subject to additional fees beyond the office visit. Is any of this even reasonable? Imagine that, you can go to a Drs office and while being examined, you start asking questions, not knowing that they could be tacking on an extra office visit charge after you leave without them ever disclosing this beforehand. Im furious at how we were treated, particularly how a medical office could use such a deceptive practice.

I have seen Dr. Remmer, Dr. Recto, Dr. Miller and all I can say is that they are all great! The have listened to my complaints and pain they have sent me to the right specialist and the testings they have done are all base on my problem. These three doctors do care! My primary care doctor is Dr. Recto and she is wonderful! Her staff is great. When ever I need an appt as soon as possible her staff jumps on trying to find quicker appts for me. Im very happy I decided to choose Dr. Recto as my main doctor. As far as other doctors at Watson clinic I am not sure how they are and cant speak for them.

I been working in the medical field for 12, going on 13 years. I went to the Watson Clinic Walk in yesterday for flu like symptoms. I strongly believe the office needs to be AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explain, and Thank you). The things that I found that did not impress me were 1.) Asking me to explain my chief complaint is in front of patients out in the lobby( HIPPA). 2.) Ma call my name , verify my date of birth but not my full name, 3.) never introduce who she was , so I assume she was a MA.... 4.) after testing me negative for flu and seeing the doctor... going to check out, the next MA goes into the room to clean with no gloves, and takes the table paper off exam table without cleaning with a Cavi wipe for 1 min. Remember I still have flu symptoms and now you have infected others which also leaves you out of work for days... 5.) the girl at check out did not smile and wanted me to verify my Dr. note and go. I will never go back again. May this post changed the way Watson runs a clinic. One error cost millions.

This was not a pleasant experience. I eventually just walked out with no care given. They want to run unnecessary tests so they can bill your insurance company. I obviously had the flu and wasnt offered any antibiotics. Save yourself the headache and just go somewhere else.

Stay away. They took XRays of my lower back and said my back was fine. Because of that I went 3 months with a buldging disc that was putting me in a wheel chair. They sent me to the ER and the ER told me they did that because they didn't want to help me. ER couldn't do anything so I got a nice size bill there. Thanks Watson Clinic for taking my money and making me suffer for so long. I'm glad I went else where to finally get some answers. IF I STAYED I WOULD STILL BE CLUELESS. Please go out of business so others won't have to suffer so much.

Horrible place. All i needed was a doctors note allowing me to work. I gave it to the June 27 and was told me to pick it up the 29. Well my doctor wasnt in the building supposedly so i was told to pick it up that Monday. Well they have yet to fill it out and Ive been out of work for a week. All i need was a question asking resondable accommodations and a doctors note from the doctor. It doesnt take 5 days to asnwer one question and print a paper.

Absolutely wonderful doctor. My 16 year old daughter had seen two other dermatologists before meeting Dr. Miller. She was struggling with bad acne and couldn't get rid of it no matter what she tried. Finally we met with Dr. Miller. He was kind, understanding, and empathetic. He prescribed a new medication and after almost a year, visiting him once a month, she is COMPLETELY clear of acne. We teared up at our last visit because we think the world of him and he helped her during her difficult time. I would recommend Dr. Miller to everyone.

Good doctors but ruined by absolutely horrible wait times and staff. Go to any Watson clinic or emergency center but this one has is typically hours of waiting.

Just want to point out if you disagree with your doctor and complain to the patient advocate your doctor will simply drop you as a patient, exactly what DR PHEN did. Despite the fact that the patient advocate was supposedly looking into my situation and moving it along to the next party. Again, this is the treatment he gives his patients, i'm my experience dr Phen is a horrible doctor at least to me he was.

My little brother took his new wife up there today, with complaints of nausea and vomiting after nearly every meal. They were only there for about twenty minutes before being sent on their way, with no prescriptions or tests because the office had apparently overbooked their appointments that day. He says it has happened to him before. That is unacceptable that a person cannot get the help they need just because the office makes too many appointments. Now they need to wait another two weeks for their next appointment.
