my Korean war veteran father-in-law here for a problem with skin sore. The location is very nice and easy to access. The elevator is on the North side entrance of the building and you need to take that if you can't use stairs. The people here are nice, the waiting area is large and comfortable, and they seem to do a good job.

We waited only a few minutes in the waiting room before we ere escorted to the patient room where we met the PA who did a thorough exam followed by an additional exam by Dr. Beals. We felt like all of our questions were answered and they educated us on how to take better care of our skin. Very short, cursory 5-minute examination performed. Prior examination (years ago), at a different facility, was about 15 minutes and included every part of my body. The NP was not sure whether a spot was a scab, dry skin, or cancer. Four spots were treated with CO2; 2 minutes, $100. Very disappointed.

My daughter has had skin issues for years and nothing seemed to work for her....This photo is after only 4 days of using their treatment plan! As you can see the difference is amazing. Do not go here for eczema. My fianc referred me after he had some surgery done here. He had a fine experience but neither of us will be going back to the office for anything in the future. I went to get something stronger than Aveeno for an eczema outbreak. I paid up front cash for my appointment, no insurance. At the time, because of my wait to get in for an appointment, I got the eczema almost completely under control and cleared up by the time I saw the doctor, though it was still visible in a small area. I didnt need the prescribed medication at the time. However, I was diagnosed with eczema and spent $40 for the medication for future outbreaks. This was about 2 months ago. For the first time in about 2 months, Im dealing with the same outbreak - same location, looks the exact same, redness, itchiness, - Surprise, its eczema again. I used the prescribed medication on it but it didnt work. It seems the medication might even be making it worse. Sometimes that happens with medications and you have to find what works for you. I called the office to see if theyd prescribe me something else to try. My first call to them, the girl at the desk informed me that I would have to come in for an entirely new appointment paying the $100 again not including any additional testing if needed. I called back and asked for the nurse to take one more chance at getting them to call in another cream to try. Holly called me back and then told me I could come back in for $25. I told her I want a $100 refund for my last appointment if that is the case. Ill pay $100 for another appointment, but I want a refund for the last one first. I paid them to treat my eczema and they didnt. I went there for eczema, they took $100 and what they did was confirm I had eczema and prescribed a $40 cream that didnt work. What I gathered from Holly was that with there being several prescription medications on the market for eczema, going to Dermatology Surgery Center, you will be charged if your medication doesnt work and you have to go back to see them for another prescription. This could lead to a lot of money just to treat eczema if you have to pay until you find something that works. What kind of doctors office is this? One that likes to engage in extortion? Do not give them your money. What I will say good is that the nurse practitioner that I saw during that initial appointment was very helpful. Shes a sweet woman and seems knowledgeable in her field. I spoke about getting some cosmetic treatment done to remove dark spots in the near future but I will no longer be using them for their services. I will file with the BBB in hopes to resolve this with a refund, and would recommend if you are having a problem with eczema, go some place else for treatment.

Dr Beals and the entire staff were amazing ! Very professional, caring and helpful, truly a great experience. Thank you and the whole team for the exceptional help and procedure ! However afterwords they billed my insurance company 1300 dollars when they quoted me 400 in cash but assured me it would be cheaper to use my insurance. Now my premium has raised and Dr beals sent me to collections for 700 dollars and ruined my credit score. Typical scam, pay with cash and get everything in writing before dealing with this quack.

Every time I went they seemed overbooked with people spilling out of two (2) waiting rooms to outside. On the day of my in-office surgery the doctor seemed to be in a hurry and probably cut out more than was needed in order to not have to repeat. When they couldn't stop the bleeding he got very angry at an assistant in front of me, burned the bleeding closed without proper deadening of the skin (HURT!) and was quickly off to another person. Only reason 3 stars is he did remove my cancer growth. Happy with my new doctor.

I have always been pleased with how the Dermatology Surgery Center would schedule me for an appointment quickly when I felt I had a significant issue. Recently I was seen by both Robert Bradley (PA-C), and Dr Beals for a skin condition which had previously been misdiagnosed as Rosacea. They took enough time to come up with a new treatment plan, which was worked wonders. Today my condition has improved 100 percent and I am now comfortable being out with family and friends. What a turnaround. The administrative staff is also quite competent and I feel blessed to have this organization is my hometown.

I am severely, 100% disabled,widowed veteran that has unfortunately been within a VA,Veteran Healthcare,system that is well known for being mediocre or less there of. I was wanting some real healthcare and hospitality. I was desperate for help and made an appointment at this location ,sleepless from pain ,and trying to find answers to my health issues endured the last year from showering and drinking dirty septic water. Seems to me thats pretty normal to want to feel better after such Mel practice experienced through government care.Getting to the point...My initial opinion of this facility Dermatology Surgery Center(NICEVILLE Florida, was great! In fact, to the point I referred several other friends. My health is not an easy fix nor the previous issues which are mainly idiopathic and chronic. However, I choose to maintain a, happy positive attitude within my illnesses as that is a choice we make daily. As previously stated I had multiple issues prior to the current. However Im medical as well and know my own body,symptoms,(new and old),and pain tolerance.As we all should I would think. I left Va after months of waiting on care and proper analysis and diagnosis or (s).After a year of waiting and lack there of care. I took things into my own hands as feeling and being ill with no answers can wear on you. I made a choice to come to the being desperate for any relief and or answers for better care and treatment. Paying out of pocket with money I didnt have because Im sick. So...Today I came in for a follow up, and the nurse practitioner after assessing a biopsy previously taken refused to discuss other dermatologic health concerns that were new from last visit. In fact cut me off and gave me as if I were a child much less paying patient, 6minutes to talk.She further continued to not want to hear about visas skin problems that were all interrelated. And stated it was all normal, as I knew for a fact they were not. I had been COMPLETELY peaceful just trying to get answers and information being as sick and in pain as I have been very patiently for the last year without answers and poor care from our Veterans Health System, whom has yet to lay a hand on my body or give physical. But that is besides the point. You know it very much saddens me with much seen modern medicine, being medical myself, studying and doing clinical under doctors that used what I call old school medicine. Meaning,in my opinion, much more hands on, testing, pathology and biology, and care not only to patient,but also the want to learn and take the initiative to treat and solve. Utilizing physical touch, listening to and viewing all aspects of health. I.E.health concerns of patient, vocal,visual, and listening with intent to solve and treat outside a modern medical box to help. People dont go to physicians for fun.Nor like to spend money on such. They go for care for someone to help solve, care or act as if, and to feel as if addressed concerns were notated, explained, and discussed properly. Also,it helps when you are in a facility that welcomes and comforts you in your needs. Medicine should be just that. The want to help and serve. Those whom lack that should probably look into further education or jobs not involving people. It takes a special type of person I believe to be in medicine. You have to care, or consider maybe your profession just isnt for you.Anyway...At the end of this very brief,uncomfortable appointment I was escorted out with absolutely no good reasoning. And the nurse furthermore,I kid you not, stated to me you have overstayed your welcome! Im so sickened by the way I was treated especially after service to my country and feeling miserable. I dont often write comments however, malpractice does exist. I try to stay positive regardless and realize, sometimes peoples lack of kindness involves their own issues.I leave it at that as a Christian woman and corpsman on a nonprofit helping others sick and in need.Im sorry I had to write this honestly. I hope no others experience what I did today!
