Dr. Lisa Sasso performed an amputation at the distal interphalangeal joint of my right middle finger on August 23rd 2018. My finger is doing great! I have full flexion of the PIP joint even though I was told I would only be able to bend the joint to 90 or 95 degrees. I have never had any pain, and am not hindered in any way. Thank you to the staff and Dr. Sasso for doing such a wonderful job, and for putting up with all the crazy things I said while recovering from anesthesia.

Our 2 year old son fell and injured his hand. He was still able to move all his fingers, but was favoring his other hand. After a few days of watching it, the swelling did not go down. We decided to call the SI hand center, and they got us in the same day. Dr Sasso quickly identified the problem (fracture) and the nurses got our son fitted with a custom brace while it healed that was easy to clean which was great for our active son. Highly recommend SI Hand Center!
