A few months ago my son broke his right thumb, he was referred to this office and was seen by a nurse. The nurse refused to do x rays and said oh its just jammed. Well, 3 days ago my son broke his right thumb (he needs to stop playing football lol) he was taken to the emergency room, x rays were taken and it was confirmed that it indeed was broken through the growth plate. My son was again, referred to this office. Had his appointment today and again was seen by a nurse, no xrays were done and was told it was jammed.. then the nurse proceeded to tell us that emergency room doctors exaggerate. He then told my son that he could go back to participating in PE.. this office is ABSURD AND LAZY!!! We will be getting a second opinion. How in the hell does a broken thumb automatically switch to just a jam?! I absolutely cannot believe how this office works. It is disgusting!! UPDATE... took my son to a different orthopedic surgeon 40 minutes away and guess what, the thumb is BROKEN!!!! No physical activity and has to wear the brace for a month. Thanks Zafutas office for potentially putting my son at risk for more injury. I will tell anyone and everyone I know not to go to this office!

I was referred to this office by my primary physician for wrist pain. My primary had already done X-rays, which came up clear. I was seen in this office by the nurse practitioner. He seemed disinterested in what I had to say as I tried to tell him that I do heavy body building lifting 6 days per week in addition to running 3 days per week and cycling 2 days per week. I also build wire rabbit cages, so I use this hand to cut wire a lot. He barely looked at my wrist before labeling it De Quervains tenosynovitis. Then he decided to insult me.... he told me that I needed to stop doing dumbbell workouts and that if I would focus on a cardio heavy program, I would be leaner and fitter anyways. Yes, Im heavy... but Ive run 3 half marathons and cycled a metric century at heavier than I am now. He didnt bother to listen to what I do before he made these comments and he wouldnt listen when I was trying to explain that, as long as my wrist is stabilized while I work out, lifting weights does not hurt (no pain at all). Then he starts discussing physical therapy, injections, and surgery on my wrist that he has barely looked at. I opted for bracing my wrist and thumb for a month and agreed to a follow up. Some things came up and my boss made me reschedule the follow up appointment. When I called to reschedule, office staff were rude and short with me. I cancelled my appointment and will be seeing a different orthopedic.

Office staff very rude . They block you when u miss a appointment. Even though u have a reason and progress why . Not a understanding office very rude and hateful
