I interviewed 6 cosmetic surgeons before I chose Dr. Jacob. I chose him because of his honest and complete discussion of my results and fears. He has an eye for natural beauty - and I did not want to look like a fake person. His team has also been very accommodating to my crazy schedule - which is often last minute. The results of my eye lift and laser resurfacing has turned the clock back about 15 years. Happy and satisfied are an understatement.

From my first visit - consult - to the last I was treated with respect and warmth. I knew that Dr. Jacobs was truly interested in helping me, and was offering his best advice that also included options. When I finally decided on a treatment, all members of his staff were always very friendly and I never felt rushed through any pre-op meetings. My care was professional and compassionate and the results were fantastic - I love the new me! (And all with very little discomfort). Dr. Jacobs always followed up with a call in the morning following all procedures and I felt very comfortable calling the office for any information that was needed. My only complaint was my stay was only one night - with the care and attention I received at this first rate facility, I could have easily stayed a week!

Ive seen Dr. Jacob numerous times over the years. It doesnt matter whether youre having an operation or just getting injectables- he takes the time to carefully explain the procedure itself, risks, and benefits. He always listens to my goals and guides my expectations for procedures. Dr. Jacobs extensive training and expertise help him to create very individualized treatment plans for his patients. Ive always been so pleased with my results-everything looks very natural and still very much like me, just enhanced. I had a bad slip and fall at work (unusual circumstances). Nasty and deep cut near my eye, as well as other injuries. Dr. Jacob saw me on an emergency basis shortly after the fall.He stitched up the cut easily, including the muscle underneath the skin. Said he could see the cheek bone. Now, 6 months later, the scar is almost invisible and no residual effects. He brought me in in for several follow up appointments. He is a gifted surgeon (I know others who have had full face lifts with him with excellent results). He will spend the necessary time with the patient. Dr. Jacob is an amazing doctor!

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Jacob! I was recommended by my dermatologist and I knew right after my first consultation that Dr. Jacob was the right choice for my rhinoplasty. The nurses were so helpful when talking to me during my pre-ops, and they answered every question and concern I had, and I was able to speak with Dr. Jacob regarding my concerns as well. I am a very nervous person but I was confident and not anxious before the procedure because of how informative and experienced all of the staff here is! I am so so so happy with my nose. My dermatologist, Mary Lupo, recommended Dr. Jacob to address my lower face and neck concerns. The first time I met with him was to assess my options and inquire about cost. He was extremely professional and exuded confidence in his ability to address my concerns. He assured me that I would look like myself afterwards and would not appear over done. I waited another year before I went back for a second consult. There was never any pressure during that year, just a simple follow-up from the office manager. I really appreciated this approach. I had the lower face and neck surgery in May and I could not be happier with the results. The surgery and recovery were pain free and easy. I actually returned to work sooner than I had planned. Dr. Jacob's attention to detail is outstanding. He has a wonderfully calm and confident demeanor which made me feel comfortable with choosing an invasive, elective surgery. I am now 3 months out from having my procedure (rhinoplasty) at Hedgewood with Dr. Jacob. From my initial inquiry, all the way to my post-op visits, I couldn't be more pleased with the results of the rhinoplasty and the wonderful staff (both office and surgical staff). Dr. Jacob did such an amazing job and really focuses on improving your features in such a natural way. He made it a priority to keep all of my facial features in proportion of each other and can be quite the perfectionist. The facility is absolutely gorgeous and does not give a 'hospital feel,' in the slightest. I highly recommend Hedgewood Surgical Center and Dr. Christian Jacob.

Based on a recommendation from one of his previous patients, and also the reputation of the Hedgewood Surgical Center, I set up an initial meeting with Dr. Jacob. He made me very comfortable as I explained my desire to remove my heavy lower eyelids. He proceeded to explain the benefits of his procedure, and using a mirror showed me how the upper eyelids could also be improved. In the end it made sense to do both lower and upper at the same time, and I am glad I did. His staff at Hedgewood made the experience from pre-op to post-op procedures very clear and comfortable. The procedure took a couple of hours, and the total time at the surgical center was about four hours. As predicted, the main healing around my eyes took about three weeks, during which I experienced no pain. The results were perfect.

Dr. Christian Jacob is professional, meticulous, and very intelligent, with great bedside manner. His office is in a gorgeous Victorian on St. Charles Avenue, and the staff was wonderful. My overall experience was extremely positive. If you are considering facial cosmetic surgery or even just a 'touch up' with injectables, I highly recommend Dr. Jacob. After seeing some of my friends who had amazing results from surgery by Dr. Jacob, I went to him for a rhinoplasty and chin implant, as well as concerns about my skin. He explained exactly what needed to be done for my nose, and how the chin implant would balance my face. For my skin, he used the CO2 laser to even out some scarring and sun damage. Lastly, he used a little Botox to take care of a few wrinkles. I am incredibly happy with the results!

Dr Jacobs is the consummate Medical Professional. My initial consultation with Dr Jacobs was very thorough. He carefully examined my nose and assessed my eligibility as a candidate for Rhinoplasty. In addition, he explained to me what he could do surgically to correct the appearance of my nose and what results I could expect from the procedure.I also found that The Hedgewood Support Staff was as professional as Dr Jacobs. They helped to coordinate my appointments around my work schedule and they walked me through what steps would take place on my surgery day. They also insured that I had the supplies I needed for both pre and post surgery. The post operation appointments were instrumental in monitoring my progress and were invaluable in addressing any questions or concerns that I had at each point. Dr Jacobs was very attentive and very reassuring in his demeanor.Therefore, I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr Jacobs to anyone contemplating any facial procedure. It will be a worthwhile investment.

I believe that Plastic Surgeons need to be transparent with all procedures, unfortunately this facility does not have the best interests of its' clients. I have seen all the surgeons at this facility, and I can tell you with certainty, that they can't be trusted. I found that they mislead and lie to their clients about things they know are not true. An example would be telling a patient that they can't reduce the size of their nose through Rhinoplasty. If you research ,Rhinoplasty, you will find that the height, length, and width of the nose are factors you have to consider, but the Doctors at Hedgewood Surgical Center will tell you because of the length of your jaw, they can't reduce the size of your nose. This is false, and they will tell you this so that they can make a quick buck for a relatively fast surgery of just reducing the Dorsal Hump on the nose. You will pay thousands of dollars for a 5 minute filing down of the hump instead of reducing your nose size based on your wishes. You may not be able to reduce the length of your nose, but you can reduce the height and width. Don't let these surgeons take advantage of you and take your hard earned money. You need to do your research on procedures, and go into a consultation with the power of knowledge of a procedure. There a lot of men and women who I have known that had surgery at this facility, and were financially taken advantage of when they had their surgery. These surgeons are in it for the money, make them do their JOB.

Microneedling causes circular scars to the face. You do not want to have this procedure at this facility. If you choose to have this procedure, you need to have it at a reputable dermatologist, not at a plastic surgeon's office. Neither one of these surgeons at this location are dermatologist, therefore they are not qualified to perform this procedure.

This is a review of the consultation process and the surgeons at this facility. My consultation was done in a poor manner, my pressing concerns where not discussed in detail. The facility takes digital photographs, do not mistake this for digital imagery, they do not have digital imagery where clients would be able to visualize the changes proposed, and achieved. When the doctors draw over your photograph, it does not give any indication at all what the changes will look like after the surgery. Overall the consultation process described on their website is misleading, and shows the lack of ethics at this facility. The mirror examination should only be used for soft tissue changes, and is not an effective tool during a consultation. The consultation is conducted in a way to avoid liability for a surgery, and at the same time fill the pockets of the surgeon with your money.
