One of the few places I have been in the last month who gets it! They are taking the safety of their staff and customers very seriously regarding covid-19. They are observing safe distancing as much as possible. There's a person who takes your temperature and administers a questionnaire to ensure that you are not a risk, before you enter the building. They have staff who are regularly disinfecting surfaces which are commonly touched. The waiting room chairs have been reduced to ensure safe distancing. They require face masks be worn and even recommend that you bring your own pen to complete any paperwork. My sincere thanks to the management and their staff for their efforts to keep everyone safe while still providing great service!

Very friendly and professional staff, Dr. Diskin was very nice and diagnosed my issue with my burning in my eye. Would definitely recommend.

Great staff, very professional and always a pleasure coming there. The only thing I didnt like was being asked questions and having to fill out paperwork every 3 years with many of the questions I was already asked. Once I got into the room, the technician had more information there on the computer than they did in the front office! It seems kind of redundant to have to ask the same questions repeatedly or having to fill them out on a questionnaire.

Would not recommend at all. At 2 appointments, I was called in a front office, sent back to waiting room and called back to see dr. When I got to the back to see dr. evidently they were supposed to dilate my eyes both times up front which did not get done! No communication between staff. When I made my appointment I was never told that cataract surgery is only done in Flint. With my husband being legally blind, it was very difficult to find a ride from Lapeer for that length of time. The measurement of my eye wasn't done correctly the first time so I had to come back for that a 2nd time. A tag in the corner of my eye was supposed to be removed at the same time as my cataract surgery but was forgotten. Another sign of no communication between staff. The front desk in Lapeer printed off what I owed after a few payments which she said included my surgery, which reads 'amount billed to insurance $1,250.00, patient responsibility $192.71. Then I get 2 Bill's, one for $1,051 and another for $1,634, plus a $300 anesthesia bill which was quite the blow when I was told my portion was $192.71. They are not up front at all! My recommendation is a big fat 0.

I went to the Lapeer office and saw Kirsten Donnellon.I needed to have my eyes examined by a professional and a form filled out by the state of MI. She wrote all positive things regarding my eye exam but w/out my knowledge she wrote that the state should be allowed to reevaluate me every 4 yrs. I received a letter from the state of MI this past Jan. 2019 and if I don't comply with having an eye exam they can take away my license. I called the Lapeer office asking for an answer as to why she did this w/out consulting me.. The office called my son later that day saying they couldn't reach me and would he tell me they can't reach me. Well, my son called me right after they hung up, got me on the phone. I told my son that not only was he able to reach me but several others have called me that afternoon. The next morning I called them, asked for my records then asked what phone # do you have for me, which was the correct # and I told the lady on the phone that if Ms. Donnellon had wanted to speak with me she could have reached me instead she chose to call my son to make an excuse. Almost 2 weeks later she has not called to explain why she did not discuss with me something that can turn my whole life upside down. When I went for the tests back in 2014 I passed all tests got high marks and she writes one thing and it can destroy me completely. Of course, I will never go back to them. I give this place zero stars, marks. I will never recommend Michigan Eye Institute to anyone. I am forced to give this place 1 star or I wasn't able to post. However, that star stands for zero.

Didn't get beyond a phone call. Apparently the opthamoligist located at this office are too good to do a routine exams regardless how you pay! They prefer to hand you off to a optometrist hack! WOULD NOT RECOMEND!!!

My home is in the Lapeer/Metamora area and II have used Michigan Eye Institute since they bought out Dr. Gary Seoul (spelling) and have always been very pleased with my contacts and service. I should have written down all of the names of the people that helped me make my recent cataract surgery an almost non event. I am now in the first week of recovery and repair and all is going well. A well deserved five star rating, THANKS!!!!Wes
