Dr. Grekin and his talented staff are courteous and the wait to be seen is typically under 20 minutes. Very impressed ! My first visit was Halloween and Dr. Jan greeted me in full Elvis regalia-Cazelles, jumpsuit and talented back-up girls with proper theme music! Perfect atmosphere!

I like the practice but I dont like what theyve done to the phone system. You cannot talk to a live person on the day you want to talk to somebody. God for bid something happens to you when you have a reaction you cannot speak to a live person until 24 hours. The system just changed over and I think it was a bad choice. This is enough to make me want to go somewhere else. I do not wanna be put into a phone storage system for someone to call me back in 24 hours. Even for an appointment why would you have to call and wait 24 hours to get somebody. Otherwise the practice is fine and I like Sharon. But Im not gonna wait 24 hours to speak to a live person.

Every week they gave me a different medication or procedure I didn't have time enough 2 see if the medicine would work or have any effect on my skin because they were changed every week

Who knows how good the doctors are? Its hard to say because the wait time in the lobby had me so annoyed I think that the doctor that came in just wanted to get me in and out. He flew and out in 3 min flat. Hmmmmm hour in the lobby then 3 min with a doctor. Rather backwards. I wont return.

Tried several times to cancel and reschedule an appointment. I had some last minute travel scheduled. I sat on hold for over 5 minutes and then had to leave my number each time. On the third day a call from the office came through however I was working and unable to connect. Another call came through while I was boarding a plane and a third when I was in a meeting. I attempted one more time to schedule and I was put on hold again and hung up. I stopped calling. I have been coming there for years and this is a terrible way to do business.

Just went to Dr Grekin skin Institute after a few FB referrals and they were absolutely horrible. Ive heard good and bad and decided to take my chances but I will never go back!!! Its like an assembly line, I spent maybe 4 minutes with Dr Grekin, prior to that he tried to pawn me off on an assistant or whomever, and I had to ask to see Dr Grekin whom my appt was scheduled with. Told me what Im using at home is garbage and to buy his products. That they couldnt confirm nor deny I could return if they didnt work out He asked how I heard about him and I said FB-he then looked at me and said Oh, wonderful, well make sure to write something really great about us. WHO does that?!And just to clarify, Im not one to slam places for no reason. I was on the verge of tears when I left. I read mixed reviews on the place and thought Id experience it myself to see how I liked it, but never again!!

Had a biopsy on a suspicious black mole. Recieved a call late on Friday evening that i missed. The voicemail said the results were back from the lab and that i needed to call the doc so he could give me more info, thats it. I called right back but, no one answered. I had to wait out the whole weekend(my birthday weekend). I called monday morning but no answer. That continued well into the afternoon. Finally i called the receptionist instead of the nursing station so i could actually speak with someone. The receptionist would not tell me my results so i had to wait again. Hours passed the same receptionist who said she couldnt give me info because she was not a nurse told me finally that i was in the clear. They caused a lot of needless worry for me.I just dont understand this at all. I will never go here again

Grekin has been great for both my husband and myself. Finally diagnosed with an embarrassing skin condition that's been there most of my life and on the path to getting it treated. Grekin is very quick to get into, unlike other dermatologists I've tried to go to that had a several month wait. The doctor I saw really took the time to listen to all of my concerns and explain the treatment plan. Everyone I encountered here was friendly and helpful. I like that I can book online because I hate making phone calls! Glad to have found my go-to dermatologist.

I wish I could give them zero points. Only one doctor takes medicaid, Dr.Grekin. I had a mole on my ace that was morphing. It had been looked at years ago and some dysplasia was found. She didn't want to fix it, she suggested a plastic surgeon because it was so close to my lip. So Dr. Grekin had me lay down. USED NO ANTISEPTIC, BETADINE ALCOHOL, NOTHING. He gave me the numbing shot and then proceeded to lift he mole and hacked away at it with a scalpel. He said he needed to cauterize it, then commented that's 'not going to be pretty' .So here it is 6 days later and I am putting Aquaphor (their suggestion) on it. I have to clean it then put the Aquaphor on then band aid that's waterproof. It looks infected, red around the edges. It's NOT healing well. I have a divot on my face, I am disfigured. I'm not young or beautiful, but this has been traumatizing. I bet it would have been different if I had something like BC/BS. I guess that's the service you get when you have Medicaid. Don't see Dr. Grekin, if you have Medicaid.

I travelled quite far (Chicago) to meet with Dr. Grekin, based on some recommendations by friends. His reviews on ZocDoc confirmed he was talented and well-liked. Since I had yet to find a Dermatologist in Chicago that could help me, I decided to book the appointment online with him. As you can tell by the 5-star review, it was well worth the drive. Not only did 'Dr Fantastic' help me but it was a great experience from start to finish. After a long time in the car, the last thing you want to do is walk into a busy office and wait. The office was packed on a Friday. I was shocked when my name was called in just a few minutes and all the medical staff was pleasant and informative. The shock grew when a few minutes later, I was greeted by Dr. Grekin! I won't get into the clinical part of the appointment, but Dr Grekin was extremely polite and energetic while confirming reviews that he is an expert in his field. He almost immediately had me diagnosed and soon after on my way with post-care instructions.I normally don't (never) write reviews. But I wanted to send Dr. Grekin a Thank-You note and googled his address. (I never write thank-you's or mail people letters. In this case I felt compelled) I was shocked to see some negative reviews. But given the anonymous nature of the internet, understand it. So I wanted to give my own personal account of who I consider to be the top Dermatologist in the country. I have over 10 years of experience in the medical field and can confidently recommend this Dr. to anyone looking for a dermatologic mystery solved. Additionally, I should note that my wife and I are both now planning to head there together for cosmetic work!
