I went in with a massive migraine that has persisted for more than three weeks along with many other symptoms of a nasty sinus infection. One ear was swollen closed, which was never even mentioned. The nurse practitioner looked at me for about three minutes and did a scan. Then, she determined I had staph in my sinuses. They swabbed me for staph and put me on meds for staph, as they were sure that was the problem. They called me four days later, after I had been taking the medicine, and said I did not have staph. Thats all. I insisted that I needed more answers as I was in week five of migraines that I could hardly open my eyes. They called in steroids. Then, they told me to go to the hospital to have a CT scan. I told my husband that didnt make sense and wanted to cancel the procedure. He told me to go anyway, because he hated seeing me hurt. I got a letter from my insurance company today saying I would have to pay for the scan, because it did not make sense based on my symptoms. I still have a severe headache and have added a large bill. I would have rated a 1, but several years ago Dr. Austin saw me. He was not a one rating. I called and asked to speak with him, though. I was told he will not speak to patients.

If you need an ent this is the place Dr Lawton is a great doctor he takes the time to explain things to you and I recommend him to anyone needing to see an ent.

Disgusting attitudes at the front desk! Wouldn't check my kids ears a week after surgery as they were complaining of ear pain.

Absolutely LOVE De. Austin and his nurse practitioner Mrs. Terry Lewis. Dr. Austin is the sweetest, most gentle Dr. I have EVER been to. Hes an amazing surgeon - my sinus were a complete mess and it was a difficult procedure with a lot to be done. My nose was broken and had to be rebroke and fixed, I had polyps attached to my turbulence and a ton of infection and congestion. The procedure took about an hour and 45 minuets. Yall I had LITTLE to NO pain the very next day after my surgery. Today I just went for my 10 day follow up and he was extremely kind, soft and thorough. I am completely amazed. Love him to death.

Dr. Austin Office staff at SW ENT August 21, 2018went in for a visit and was asked to pay my $5 co-pay and tried to explain that my out of pocket maximum for the year has been met, the very rude receptionist insisted that I pay the $ 5.00 but after repeated explaining that my max has been met, she said I can go and if I owe they will bill me. As I was getting in my car, I received a phone call from the patient account billing lady and was told if I did not pay my $5 copay they will not release my prescription. I told them I will be right back in, but in the mean time I called my insurance company to confirm that I had met my max and no copay was due for the remaining of the year. while still on the phone (speaker) with my insurance company I walked back in and I told the office staff that my insurance company said they can call to confirm my out pocket has been met, they refused to call or speak with the agent on the phone to resolve my copay. still on phone with insurance company while in the office (speaker) I told the agent how rude I am being treated and he asked if I would like to file a complaint and I said yes! The receptionist stated to me that she was not rude and she was not the one who called and said they was not releasing my prescription. The lady from billing came out and said she was the one that called at this point my voice was getting little bit loud because all of this over $5 which I did not owe and they was to lazy to call insurance company to see if my max has been met, at this point heather came out and told them to give me my prescription and for me to LEAVE NOW. Me and my family have been long time (18 yrs) patients of Sw ent and to treat an established patient over $5.00 is a very upsetting to say the least. This is how they treat their good long time patients!

The person at the front desk, extremely rude, 3 different woman that were calling patients to the back, extremely rude! I brought a 84 year old lady and she was treated with total disrespect. If I could have talked her into seeing another doctor I would. If I need a ear, throat, or nose doctor I will drive several hours to see one who has courteous employees!!!
