Will not be going back to this place. With a broken left hand sat in the waiting room over an hour after my appointment. Next two visits sat for over 30 minutes after my appointment only to see the Doctor for a total of 10 minutes between all three appointments. After cast removed bone was still broken and is still hurting today but no surgery even though I had had surgery on the same bone in 2007. Not even a cast put back on so now I have to wrap it when it is hurting me. Showed my primary Doctor the X-rays and he wanted it to be healed more than what it was. Then this place charged me $802.00 for that pathetic series of visits!

I've been very happy with Prairie Orthopedic and Dr. Machado. They were able to get me in quickly after an emergency room visit for my wrist. Dr. Machado was through in explaining the damage in my accident and the process of recovery. The office workers were great at scheduling and explaining the expected costs. All very friendly people and I couldn't ask for any more than they've provided. Would highly recommend for your orthopedic needs.

Evaluated by Lygia and was very impressed by her expertise. I was referred to physical therapy and chose to see John. John is very knowledgeable and very kind. I would refer any person to this office for orthopaedic care and physical therapy.

I waited for more than an hour before seeing the Dr's Assistant. I had an appointment for 3.45 and l was there at 3.30. Patients who came after 4.30 were attended to and left while l was left sitting in the front office . I got called into the office around 4.45 and spoke to the Dr's Assistant. Then l had to wait for Dr Krecji. I waited until 5. 10 and l got up and talked to the front desk before leaving without being attended to. I didn't know if it was because of my color(sometimes your thoughts just go that way as l was the only person of color in there) or just my unlucky day. They made half hearted apologies and offered to reschedule for the following day. I agreed but l couldn't think l could face the same treatment and the sneakering again. So l called and cancelled the rescheduled appointment. When all this ill-treatment happened l just told myself to breathe and stay calm. Seeing all the nice reviews makes me feel like l was treated like that because they didn't like me for something beyond my control as l was very courteous to them . I also observed other patients getting first class treatment.

Dr Byington and his staff took excellent care of me when I tore my ACL and needed surgery. They worked with my insurance company to get my surgery scheduled quickly, so I was able to get back to work.

I would not recommend this office as my insurance is being charged $130 for an ankle brace that you can purchase at Walmart for $10. I was told it was $20 in which I paid then later received a bill for an additional $24.47. I know its not much but this is why our insurance premiums are so high.

Love seeing Dr Byington but the front office is a headache every time. Takes 3 people to check someone in while they debate insurance just to tell me I have to pay up front in full because they cant pick up the phone and call Blue Cross Blue Shield. I wont be back to say the least. MRI was approved last week and no issues and yet they cant seem to figure out how to bill for a simple office visit. Dont waste your time.....

Minimal wait, friendly staff, highly attentive (Dr Hurlbut) and staff. The Dr and PA listens, spends time to evaluate, etc. Main drawback for me is the drive is long, (especially when in pain), but seems to be worth it!

Pursued physical therapy treatment at Prairie Orthopedic on two separate occasions based on excellent outcomes reported by friends. Great experience on both occasions. E. Heiman is incredibly knowledgeable and effective in my shoulder rehab with clear explanations and directions. Shes truly a committed professional who cares for patient well being. Focuses on rehabilitation while concurrently understanding underlying biomechanics issues for future prevention. Treated by C. Ortlieb and consulted with J. Obear as well benefiting from the full team.

It's refreshing the surgeons keep up on all the newest techniques and have a variety of options available to go over in most cases. Surgery is often the last resort. The staff are courteous, professional and very friendly. The office has a family atmosphere and it's greatly appreciated that they have a physical therapy department in the same office. This is a stellar team of professionals who deliver exceptional client services. They can be proud of their educational services and give priority to pain control. Dr. Machado and his staff are outstanding! I was seen for a hand injury. Dr. Machado has always been so kind. He made me feel important and that my pain mattered. He attempted to treat the injury non-surgically. When that was not successful, he recommended surgery. Him and his staff worked with the insurance company to ensure communication was superior in order to protect my out of pocket expenses. They clearly explained the procedure and expectations. The morning of my surgery, Dr. Machado, his staff, and the Bryan West staff all made me feel well taken care of and comfortable. They listened to my concerns and made me feel at ease. Dr. Machado even called me the next day to see how I was feeling. This is truly exceptional!I have been working with Prairie's physical therapist, Julie, for the past couple of weeks. She has been amazing! She is great at explaining what the exercises will do for my hand and why it is important. She is friendly, honest, and knowledgeable and gives me excellent positive feedback regarding my progress.I can't say enough wonderful things about Prairie. In an unfortunate circumstance where injury or medical issues occur, I can't imagine considering any other orthopaedic office in the future. They are all simply wonderful!

Given a knee brace for my knee that needed surgery. Receive my statement with insurance being billed $1025 for a knee brace and my portion was $643. Found the same exact knee brace for $79. I wore the knee brace twice and it cause so much swelling I couldn't wear it. I was supposed to have knee surgery but was informed that they needed money upfront before they would do the surgery. They wouldn't work with me. I would never recommend this place.
