Very nice man. He put my port in, which goes into your aorta. Chemo has to be given through a port because if they injected it directly into the veins using a syringe, it would burn the veins.I knew none of this before and after the surgery. I learned this through another patient. On top of it, my pork sticks very far out and tilts it looks horrible.

Dr. OLMSTEAD IS A VERY EXPERIENCED DOCTOR WITH EXCELLENT BED SIDE MANNERS. I FELT VERY COMFORTABLE LEAVING MY GALL BLADDER CONDITION IN HIS HANDS. HIS TEAM AT THE CORNING HOSPITAL WAS EXCELLENT AS WELL.

The Thursday before Easter he had my mother come into his office for a consultation. My mom dad and I were all there. He asked her if she knew why she was there then told her she had cancer and that he wanted her in the operating room within one to two weeks...he NEVER gave her any options...he NEVER told her what may or may not happen if she did not want surgery. When I expressed my concern for her well being due to my mother being a bleeder and what may happen during surgery he blew me off. My dad expressed the same concern and he blew him off. He told us there was a 95%success rate with this procedure and that this was 40% of his practice. The day after mother's day my beloved mother walked into CORNING HOSPITAL for a procedure she was told would require 4 to 7 days in the hospital and 3 weeks recovering at home. The hospital is NOT EQUIPPED TO DO SURGERY... IF YOU HAVE EXCESSIVE BLOOD LOSS YOUR KIDNEYS SHUT DOWN AND THEN ALL OF YOUR VITAL ORGANS SHUT DOWN. Dr Olmstead gave my mother 2 units of blood when she ended uo needing 12 plus that was NOT administered until he FINALLY sent my mother to Robert Packer Hospital where they tried to save her. She was hospitalized from May 15 to June 16 then she was brought home to die...she went to Heaven June 17, 2017. This doctor and hospital MURDERED MY MOTHER...PLEASE DON'T LET THEM DO THIS TO YOU.
