I went to Dr. Hagerty because my dermatologist was afraid to remove a large mole from my face. Dr. Hagerty made me feel comfortable and explained how he was going to remove it without leaving a nasty scar. I had looked elsewhere with other doctors, but was afraid to have a scar that looked worse than the mole. When I sat down with Dr. Hagerty, I knew I was in good hands. He pulled the skin over and stitched into the crease of my nose. I was left with no visible scar. I couldn't be more happy with the results and the confidence that he gave me back. Hands down Dr. Hagerty is a great doctor!

I DO NOT recommend this surgeon for ANYTHING. Dr. Haggerty is careless, rude, and a surgeon who does sloppy work. This is why: In Jan. 2018 I had an infected cyst I wanted removed by a plastic surgeon. My mistake for choosing this so called surgeon Dr. Haggerty. I was forewarned that there may be a small scar where the cyst was. What Dr. Haggerty left in the middle of my neck was more than a small scar. This was sloppy and careless work. When Dr. Haggerty was working on me I was barely numbed and was crying and he just kept on working while singing. That's incredibly rude, and uncompassionate. I believe it was a week later I came to get my stitches removed, and that's it. He didn't give me any post op instructions on how to care for my scar. About 6/7 months later I decided to get this horrific scar taken care of. People kept starring at it and would ask me if I've been in an accident/ smoked and had a tracheotomy. That's embarrassing and made me feel very insecure about a problem that this sloppy plastic surgeon should've fixed but instead made 10 times worse. So, I decided to go to Albany Plastic Surgery on Scotland Ave. They're phenomenal. If you're reading this and looking for a good plastic surgeon please go to Albany not Haggerty. Yes, Albany is kind of far, but it is SO worth it. Right before going to Albany I decided to show Dr. Haggerty his work he did. I showed him the scar and he immediately jumped to wanting to inject me with steroids and then either go back into it surgically or laser it off. I WOULD NOT LET HIM PREFORM ANOTHER PROCEDURE ON ME IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT. Honest truth. I'm so glad Albany decided to do Dermajet ( a corticosteroids through high pressure... 0 pain) on my scar. Albany's treatment has shown great improvement in reducing my scar, and they still follow me up and told me to use NewGel scar cream or strips. Those have seriously helped. That's the difference between a real plastic surgeon like the people at Albany versus Dr. Haggerty who never cared to see me past taking my stitches out, and never gave me things to do at home to reduce the scar like a gel or cream. * The attached picture is now after my treatment with Albany which tells you how bad the original scar he left was*

I was recommended to this office by my cousin, per her friend. During my consultation Thomas A. Hagerty, MD, my concern was with the skin starting to fall under my chin and a desire to smooth and tighten the skin around my chin and jowl area. He proposed a necklift, which he said would give me the desired effect. He told me I would be happy with the results.. Knowing I was moving Jan 8, 2016, he did this procedure on Dec. 31, 2015. 5 days post, I went back to see him, concerned about the skin still falling under my chin. He said it would go away; remember he knew I was going away in 3 days. For healing time, I waited 6 months, only to discover the skin on the bottom part of my face looked worse than when I originally consulted him. So I proceeded to send several emails with photos showing the result of his surgery, which his office help said they never received. Finally my letters and pics were acknowledged. I requested my money back so that I could have a competent PLastic Surgeon fix his 'work'. He refused, and after 8 months offered to do a revision at no cost. Not only does he know I'm 13 hours away now, but would I really trust his work at this point????? NOI! I suggest you do your homework before choosing a doctor for plastic surgery.I didn't and am now paying the price. Dr, Hagerty thinks he can do anything, and is very convincing, but I know I was an experiment and he had not enough knowledge to do a necklift on me.

Mid Hudson Plastic Surgery is the only office in upstate NY that offers Fractora. Dr. Hagerty took the time to explain the process and answer all of my questions. My areas of concern were acne scars on chin, wrinkles around mouth and in between eyes. I also wanted to tighten the lax skin at the jawline and cheeks. I had laser lipo with Dr Hagerty for a small amount of left over belly fat from my pregnancy. He did it in his office. No anesthesia except for local. The whole procedure was very simple. I went back to work the next day. His office is very clean (being an RN i'm particular about that). He is also very professional, explained everything step by step. It was really the best thing I ever did. That stubborn pouch I have had for years is now gone and it took under an hour. The pain was minimal and now I can wear all pre pregnancy clothes that I love! If you have stubborn belly fat go and see Dr Hagerty. You will love him! Get some Botox while you're there also. He's the cheapest around!

I made sure to ask if my insurance was covered and how much the total cost of everything would be. I was lied to on two accounts. My insurance was not covered and there was an extra $100 lab fee that I was not told about. When bringing up these issues, I was told I would receive a call back twice and never did.
