This is a review for an initial visit. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment, the front desk was well prepared had my VA Triwest paperwork setting right next to her when I introduced myself she had everything she/I needed to begin the new patient process in a very courteous professional manner. First impression was I really liked the visit. While I was completing the paper work she came to waiting area and asked if I had completed the 1st 2 pages she would take them and begin to get my digital file started. I appreciate she came to me not just open a window call my name and ask how far I had gotten. To be fair from that point there was a delay to the next step in being called back to the treatment room. However after the wait EMS arrived and there was a patient being transported to the hospital. I fully understood the delay. Shortly there after I was called back to treatment room. The nurse Sarah introduced herself to me and was professionally friendly. The standard questions were asked and answered and she took the chart and said the Doctor would be in soon. A brief wait and in came the doctor introduces himself. He spent a few minutes discussing my military history places of deployment etc. and what i had been doing since leaving the military. I think to get an understanding of who I was. Then he went straight to work discussed in detail the multiple conditions I have and made appropriate referrals and completed the examination. He then escorted me to the area where blood is drawn Sarah came in drew the blood (never even felt the needle pierce the skin). A return appointment was then scheduled and I was on my way. Now the reason for such details for this post is I was originally troubled by several reviews I had read prior to the visit. Anyone using the VA in there past understands there is some wait. The visit I experienced while there was delay was well worth it. I look forward to developing a doctor client relationship here.

Calvary Baptist Church
Dr. Willis and his staff have helped the Loaves & Fishes Recovery program for years. He does devotions with the guys every week and takes care of their medical needs as well. The practice has helped hundreds of men who didn't have insurance break the bondage of addiction. We at Loaves & Fishes cannot thank Dr. Willis and his staff enough for all they have done for us!!!!!

Made appointment went in 10 mins early still did not see doctor after 1 hr and no explanation from staff most were heading out the door for lunch -left made another appointment waited 45 mins no doctor staff came out and said he was running hr late that's it for me not very friendly and apparently don't care about other peoples time don't go there make another appt in moreheador new bern

They were really helpful. As someone who doesn't give blood without going into shock, they were able to talk me through it and give me a comfortable experience. Definitely will remain my PCP indefinitely!

I have been going here for years and highly recommend this practice to everyone. Excellent care and compassion. The one star rating is for Bobbi at Front Desk. She needs training on customer service and professionalism. Not only was she rude to me today she bit the head off another employee right in front of me while I was paying for my visit. Her horrible attitude rudeness, and lack of professionalism has been observed multiple times now. As for medical care from rest of staff has been wonderful! Especially Jack Orton PA, and Nurse Linda. These two are Top Notch!

Wait times are ridiculous and the place is running behind every time I set foot in there. When Ive seen Dr. Dobbs and her nurse. They have been wonderful and helped me every time and I appreciate her. Anytime the other is there things are running at a snails pace. BUT.....the front desk staff is rude and makes excuse after excuse. No point in making an appointment here they will be runnning late. My wife had to leave to get our son from preschool without seeing a doctor. Something she needed to do TODAY. Otherwise Id have had to shut our shop and lose that time from our business to do it. Once I called to complain however they suddenly have a space and call her back. I dont buy it. New Doctor for our family.

Dr. Willis is one of the best physicians I have ever encountered. I find that he is patient, kind, and very knowledgeable. His office staff is up to date on all new regulations and is very profession and personable. If you need a good doctor, then you need to try his practice.

Dissatisfied with staffing - very disconnected. When you enter the office you're generally pointed in the direction of the sign in tablets with little to no dialogue. I've visited before when they didn't even bother to open the receptionist window. Additionally, I had an emergency that required a trip to the ER on a Sunday to get stitches on a head wound. I called my regular doctor's office, Open Water @ Beaufort, and explained that I needed to have them removed. They put me on hold multiple times, finally came back on the phone, and told me they did not have time to see me that following Friday and I would have to call their office in Morehead. Upon calling the Morehead office, I was put on hold, and to my surprise they came back on the phone and told me to be at the Beaufort office on the requested Friday. It was very obvious the Beaufort office didn't want to have to interrupt their schedules to assist. By the way, I am and have been a patient at this office and the stitch removal required 5 mins of their time. When I entered their office on that Friday, the receptionist had a scowl on her face and abruptly pointed me to the tablet for sign in. Granted not all staff behaved in such a disrespectful manner, but it's been enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth and my experiences always leave me wanting more. I'm not speaking to the caliber of the Doctor's either - simply the environment they work in.Last rant of the post - I've had the greatest time getting my ONE prescription called in. I continuously call to confirm I don't need an appointment for refills, I'm told no and that they will call in the refill, only to arrive at CVS to no prescription. It's a 45 minute drive to get to the pharmacy, so it's not exactly as easy as go home and wait for them to decide to call it in. I called last week, explained that my bottle showed 0 refills left, they confirmed I would not need to come in for a check-up and that the prescription would be refilled. I gave a week before attempting to pick the prescription up. Much to my dissatisfaction I arrive at CVS only to find that once again, my Doctor's office has failed to submit my medication for a refill. Needless to say, enough chances have been given.
