Aside from the thorough examination that I received from Dr. Cohen, I was extremely impressed with the highly organized and 'socially distanced' sign-in/registration process while waiting in the parking lot. Dr. Cohen and his staff are the best. Lots of smiles, upbeat attitudes, efficient, and extraordinarily clean. I go every year for an annual check-up and have had a couple of small procedures which were performed with ease and professionalism. The new system since the pandemic started is terrific. My appointment was at 9:00AM and I was in and out and on my way home by 9:25, including a small procedure.

Having had a melanoma removed several years ago in a different city in N.C., it was my mission to locate in Hendersonville a dermatologist that would be reliable in supervising the condition of my skin. Fortunately, I found Dr. Cohen. He has my utmost trust and respect; I know that my dermatology issues are in good hands.In addition, Dr. Cohen has assembled a friendly, personable staff. One could almost forget about being in a medical office!

I have found him to be a compassionate, consummate physician with an outstanding ability to listen carefully to his patients needs; carry out an unmatched, thorough examination; and then skillfully offer, on- the- spot, top-notched medical care and remedies. For example, on my first visit with Dr. Cohen, he detected, diagnosed and sent out for immediate lab confirmation two areas of serious skin ailments I had, which my former dermatologist caregiver had totally missed only two weeks prior. A great place atmosphere is very relaxing; the doctor and staff members very friendly put me at ease right away! Prior to my examination both the nurse and doctor explained what would be done during the examination. When I had questions during the examination, the doctor paused to answer. After the doctor explained possible procedures for addressing my skin concerns I was given the opportunity to decide how to proceed. Follow-up of questions was encouraged. Definitely a great appointment all-around. Thank you everyone!At a followup appointment, check-in went smoothly, in spite of all the COVID requirements! The nurse was prompt as she prepared me for the procedure and she made sure I would be comfortable until the doctor was ready for me. The doctor greeted me and asked me questions to followup the prior appointment. The next step was the appointments procedure during which he explained what was happening and what I do to let him know about concerns. Upon my arrival at Dr Cohen's office, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist at the front desk who asked for my co-pay and advised that I would be called soon. A very friendly associate called me to the back office at which time I was made to feel comfortable in the surroundings. Explanation of disrobing, etc were made with a hospital gown provided. After a very brief wait, Dr Cohen appeared and made me feel comfortable and assured of his examination to search for any dermatological issue present which needed attention. After a thorough examination and use of 'burning' device to questionable areas of concern, was able to re-dress to conclude the appointment. I've been a patient of Dr. Cohen's for about 3 years, almost from the time he started his practice in Hendersonville. I have been extremely satisfied with all aspects of my dealing with him and his office. Starting with everyone in his practice: all his staff are professional and friendly, and are very knowledgeable about what they are doing. With them, and with Dr. Cohen, I always feel like I am important, they never rush. During the visit, Dr. Cohen continually talks about what he is doing, and why. He mentions current technology or studies, so I know he is keeping current. He describes alternate treatments, tells me his recommendations, and why. He also tries to save me money, such as sending a perscription to an on-line pharmacy, which cut the cost about in half for me. All the staff explains everything about what they are responsible for, and they always answer all my questions. On a recent appointment, due to an unexpected funeral I had to attend, I wanted to be seen earlier than my scheduled appointment. They made it happen. It is a very pleasant, yet professional atmosphere. I recommend Hendersonville Dermatology very highly.

I have had at least one previous appointment with Dr. Cohen, and I was very satisfied with the results. It was the same for this visit. Dr. Cohen completed a new full-body examination and treated several pre-cancerous areas on my face. He identified a spot on my back, took a biopsy sample and 'scraped' the surface. It was done earlier this week and I am awaiting a report from the lab. The entire experience was painless and very professionally handled.
