My wifes lip, and mouth were cut by the anesthesiologist. Her post op bed had no rails and she was left unattended periodically. No one asked what her pain level was or if she felt ready for discharge.

The surgery center was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The waiting room has ample seating, several TVs, a lounge with a microwave, a cell phone charging station, and many more amenities. They do an excellent job of keeping your loved ones informed while you have your procedure. As a patient, everyone treated me with the utmost respect and compassion. I was very pleased with the reception staff, nurses, and providers. I highly recommend this facility!

I stayed here last night after having hysterectomy. Ande was my nurse all night and she was just the best! She checked on me & helped keep me comfortable. See was so nice and I felt like I'd known her forever. She even heated up little chicken biscuits for me for breakfast. I had the best experience with all the staff starting at check in until the time I was discharged.

My appointment for my tonsillectomy was scheduled for 8:15. When I walked in at 7:15, Kathy welcomed me and was ready to start the check in process. The anesthesiologist walked me through all that was going to happen during my procedure and answered all questions I had. He was very funny and knowledgeable in what he does. My nurses Amy and Corey were sweet and made sure that I was comfortable before and after my procedure. Everything was well organized and completed in a timely manner, awesome experience.

Vidant SurgiCenter has always been my go-to for all my surgeries, but my last visit on 12/6 will be my last. Of all my surgical experiences this was by far the worse!-1. Was asked to be at the hospital at 10:30am for a 12:30pm surgery. Surgery didn't happen until a little after 3pm & wasn't over until 7pm.-2. While waiting they needed a urine sample. Went into the bathroom where there was a towel on the floor that looked like someone attempted to clean up urine. Me: 'Is there another bathroom I can use because someone has urinated on the floor and I'm not comfortable with that!' Rude Nurse: 'Oh no Sweetie nobody URINIATED on the floor the toilets just leaking but you're more than welcomed to use another bathroom!' Me: 'Ma'am how was I supposed to know that?'-3. ...sooooo an outpatient surgery has now turned into an overnight stay resulting in more money I'd have to pay in the end.-4. I stayed in recovery for about 2hrs with little to no supervision. Once I 'came through' the Nurse changed my IV that resulted in blood spurting all over my gown. She flippantly apologized but didn't give me a new gown to change in. Also they kept telling me that the room they were transporting me too wasn't cleaned and they were looking for someone to clean it which resulted in my staying in recovery so long.-5. They roll me into the room (after dinner hours) which happen to only be a few feet way by this time I've not eaten since before midnight and now it's too late to order anything. Nobody offered anything until I complained to my cousin who said 'Folks have surgeries all times of the day. They HAVE to provide you something to eat...just ask.' I ask and they bring me a cold boxed lunch.-6. I asked the Care Nurse named Deorah what room was I in so I could let my family know where I was and she replied sarcstically 'The room you gone be in until the morning!' still not providing the room number.-...and I can go on! There were a few that made the situation a little better and there names are Nurse Tiffin, Nurse Ashley, and the charge Nurse who came in the next morning 12/7 but I forget her name. Vidant will not get another dime of my money! Very disappointing.

The staff were great, they even gave me underwear to wear under my hospital gown. Everyone was professional and nice. The nurses in the operating room even told me that they liked my tattoo before putting me under.

Had shoulder surgery there yesterday and the staff was simply amazing. Very welcoming and friendly. They made me feel very comfortable before and after surgery. The lady at the front desk welcomed my family and I with a smile. The anesthesia crew was great and nurses Ginger and Susie really did a great job with me. Thank you all for making my first surgical experience a good one.

Most caring and dedicated team that I have had the pleasure of having during a surgery. They kept informed and comfortable! I was surprised to find out that my surgical nurse had been friends with my son. Everyone was so friendly and warm.

Vidant are NOT veteran friendly at all. They will lie and cheat anyone who must rely on VA benefits for healthcare.

On Thursday, April 7th, 2016, I had gynecological surgery at the SurgiCenter. April 5th was my pre-op and registration. My registry nurse was nice; however, she told me I could take one of the medications I am currently taking daily the morning of the surgery. My patient booklet specifically stated not to take this medication as it can cause Lactic Acidosis. Other than that, registry went smoothly and she answered all of my questions respectfully. The day of the procedure, I was made to feel very comfortable and everything on the paperwork was explained thoroughly by each nurse and Doctor. They allowed my husband, son and dad back to the prep room and recovery room. The facility was very clean and in my opinion, it was a comfortable environment. My family was given a pager that lit up and displayed messages to let them know the progress of the procedure and when to go speak with my doctor. The only (minor) complaint was that the tv in the waiting room only played medical advertisements but it wasn't a big deal at all. I felt very well taken care of and I'm extremely happy with my experience. I was very nervous that morning but each nurse and doctor spoke with my family and me professionally yet making each assurance personal and comforting. I really appreciate the staff and I am recovering quite well! Also, thank you for the get well card!
