I had my lip fillers done here around September of last year. I have seen barely any difference when it comes to the volume of my lips, after the swelling went down. But I definitely have gained myself a slight asymmetry in my bottom lip due to a bump one of the injections caused. I thought once the filler dissolves its gonna disappear but it hasnt. Doctor seemed very nice but I am not happy with the results or the aftermath I have to deal with

By far the best place Ive been for injectables. The doctor took the time to tell me what would work and wouldnt for the results that I wanted, carefully explained everything as he was doing it and the results are beautiful. I had a tummy tuck with muscle repair and liposuction a year ago. It was the best decision I ever made and it was only possible because of Dr. Alvarez. My husband and I spoke with him before and after surgery and he gave us his direct line for any issues or questions we had. Obviously, invasive surgery isn't easy but Dr. Alvarez and his staff were there to answer all my questions and see me whenever I wanted him to reassure me about my recovery. I also had some issues after surgery that he was very attentive and proactive in getting fixed. They even worked my insurance company to cover additional costs. I really cannot say enough good things about my experience. He is the doctor you want by your side to ensure great results.

Dr Julio Clavijo-Alvarez and his staff are amazing. I needed to have two small tattoos on my fingers removed in order to join the military and I had a limited amount of time. I had two surgeons from two different places tell me they were unable to do it and when I went to Dr Julio Clavijo-Alvarez he was not only able to do it, but he gave me about 3 or 4 different options on how he could remove it. I am forever grateful to Dr. Clavijo for my amazing surgical outcome. The two qualities of the utmost importance in my search for a plastic surgeon were expertise and compassion. Dr. Clavijo exceeded both these expectations by miles. I underwent revision septorhinoplasty over two weeks ago, after many years of breathing issues and insecurities related to progressive structural deformities from my first rhinoplasty at age 13. My breathing issues were so significant that I could barely tolerate weight lifting (my passion), and my insecurities were so severe that I did not want to be photographed. I began my search for plastic surgeons in the Pittsburgh area about a year ago to perform my breast lift/augmentation. I am in the medical field and being around and working closely with various Physicians the past 10 years I knew specifically what type of surgeon I was looking for. Some people do not care about bedside manner as long as the surgeon does a decent job. I am not one of those people. I wanted the best of the best with the bedside manner to match. I came across Dr. Julio Clavijo-Alvarez on real self and his reviews were so great I almost wondered if this doctor was too good to be true? But I set up a consultation and let me tell you, Dr. Julio lives up to the hype and then some. Not only does he take as much time as you need to answer all of your questions, but he is a PERFECTIONIST and it shows. And I do not use that term lightly but my results speak for themselves. My breast augmentation looks exactly like my wish pics I showed him. He nailed it 110%. My surgery went smoothly, the facility in Wexford was amazing, zero complications, and I was back to work in 7 days. (Much shorter than I anticipated considering I also received a full anchor lift). I couldnt believe it especially because I am constantly moving at work. Pain was manageable. I was able to text his personal cell with any questions I had and he always got back to me same day and even called to answer a few of my questions one day. He never once made me feel like I was bothering him. For every follow up in the office I saw him personally, which was also great because it put my mind at ease. Every single interaction Ive had with him he has been nothing short of kind, caring, and respectful. My friends/family/coworkers are in awe of my results in such a short time. (And now all want to go to him for their own future procedures). I will be back to ONLY Dr. Julio for any future cosmetic surgeries. He sets the bar so high. You will never be left in the dark at all throughout the entire process and you wont be nervous of being botched because he is the best at what he does. I do not see him again for 6 months but he made it clear I can text him anytime with questions or make an appointment if I needed to with any concerns. There is a reason he has nothing less than 5 star reviews. I am so thankful I found Dr. Julio Clavijo-Alvarez at Renova plastic surgery.

I recently had rhinoplasty by Dr. Julio Clavijo-Alvarez. This is the second procedure I had with him. My first procedure with him was blephoroplasty in 2016. I started to go to him based on reviews and the amount of blephoroplastys he has done. So it was a no brainer to go to him for my rhinoplasty. When I consulted with him about it I had a slew of request of what I wanted to achieve. However Dr. Julio Clavijo- Alvarez exams my nose and took pictures. He review with me the pictures and was able to pinpoint what exactly was causing me to want a ton of work when I fact it was just a single thing that would correct all the things I disliked. He also walks through an analysis of my nose on an application to show exactly what he would think would offer me the results I wanted and also what a realistic result would be. I initially went into that appointment almost sick to my stomach and worried about what will be done, but after that appointment I left feeling so confident and even more excited than I was before my initial decision to get it done. I left knowing exactly what would be happening and and not only answered all my questions and addressed my concerns but provided information I did not even think to ask. The day of the surgery he marked my nose and explained again what would be happening. His bedside manner is second to none. After the procedure I thought I would be in pain but in fact I did not feel any. He was so gentle that it caused very little discomfort and no pain. He called me personally a few hours after the surgery to check on me. During my follow up appoint a week later he took out the splints and the cast and I got to see my nose. Even though it was still a bit swollen I could see the new slope in my nose and was so excited for it to be healed so I could see the results. I had another follow up a week later and he took picture to compare the before and after and I fell in love with my nose even though I would not see the full impact until around 3 months. I would not recommend any other surgeon for plastic surgery other than him. I did have breast implants done before I went to him and while the experience was ok, I didn't realize that compared to my experience with Dr. Julio Clavijo- Alvarez was not even close to Dr Julio's. The difference made me realize what a surgeon should be doing and I did not receive that level of expertise from my previouse surgeon. I only wish I knew of him during that time so I could have had it done with him. For each procedure I had with Dr. Julio Clavijo- Alvarez I was so educated on what would be happening and the results I would see that I was never left in the dark. Not only would I 100% recommend him for any procedure but his office staff goes above and beyond for you as well. If you are not from the area I still would recommend you travel to him because he is in my opinion the best Dr out there. My experience was amazing and I am so happy with my results.

I never felt rushed through an appointment and he was always 100% engaged. My name is Nelly and I am 34 years old. Since this wasn't my first rhinoplasty i was very scared to get botched again. I had been looking for a doctor that i could trust for so long. I made a couple of consultations with different doctors before Dr Julio Clavijo and they didn't inspire confidence like Dr. Julio does. I had an Septorhinoplasty done and i can't imagine having it done with anyone else. he is the best doctor ever!!! i can't thank him enough for my new nose. Totally worth it. Everything went well during and after the surgery, i was so glad to sleep and be able to breath. As soon as he removed the cast off my nose the results were amazing even though it was still swollen. My breathing is finally normal.

I am thrilled I found ReNova! Dr. Julio Clavijo-Alvarezs attention to detail in his practice is impressive. The time he takes with you to educate you on your procedure is something you rarely experience with a physician any longer. His relaxed demeanor makes you comfortable with your decision to enhance and rejuvenate your appearance with the different options that are available at ReNova Plastic Surgery. He is conservative in his approach, and the result is subtle. I have had fillers and Botox for years at renowned clinics both in Pittsburgh area and in Florida, but never with the intentness that I experienced yesterday while having filler in my cheeks and lips and Botox. More importantlyhe did it himself! Most often you have a qualified PA or nurse that does the injections, but to have someone of Dr. Julios caliber actually doing your injections was quite a surprise. Based on past experience, I was prepared for several days of down time after the procedures, but there was little swelling and no bruisingand that is a first for me! I look fabulous (if I do say so myself) and only one day after the injections. I feel confidant that I can go out as early as today and not have the tell tale signs of work done. In about two weeks, which is the norm for everything to settle in, he tells me I can come back in and have it tweaked if need be. Thank you Dr. Julio! With regard to a surgical procedure, you know you are in good hands. I first sought out Dr. Julio after seeing a procedure on The Doctors for a condition I have had since I was 18. For years I was told there was nothing to be done to correct it. I had fat deposits at the base of my neck causing a hump like appearance. It was not from medications I had taken, or from a disease, but rather seemed to be genetic since my mother and grandmother both had this as well. I researched the procedure and Dr. Julio was recommended. A bit nervous, yet excited to see if I could in fact have this removed via Smart Lipo, at my appointment Dr. Julio assured me there was a simple procedure to correct the problem. He took care to have it done at a surgery center, rather than his office, explaining in detail what would happen and the results I could anticipate. I was so excited, realizing that finally I would have this corrected. I am two weeks post procedure, had very little pain or inconvenience, and the result is life changing. The procedure, and the removal of the hump has boosted my self-confidence by a large measure. I will continue to visit ReNova for any and all procedures and maintenance in the future.

It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Then, I decided that I wanted to continue losing weight. I lost my breasts (of course). So I scheduled a consultation with him once again to discuss the possibility of getting implants. His consultations are so thorough. He went over every single aspect of the surgery, what to expect, how long my recovery will be, what my expectations should be. Let me tell you. He is a PICASSO when it comes to the human body. My augmentation took place on April 23, 2015. Once again, another flawless beautiful surgery. I elected to have the HIGH Profile, Implants under the muscle tissue. Let me tell you... I have never seen a better set of breasts on another woman in my life. (HAPPY HUSBAND)As I continued on, over time, the 'kangaroo' pouch from two children and 108lbs of a weight loss bothered me. I never fear a mistake when it comes to his work. He performed a complete TUMMY TUCK and LIPO on my 'love handles' and flanks. WHOA!Let me just say... The results at WEEK ONE are phenomenal. The recovery has been amazing. The scar line is phenomenal. The lipo and bruising healed quickly...Besides the results... Do you know what I love the most... I have never, in all of my surgeries with ANY OTHER DOCTOR... They have never called me consistently afterwards to check on me. I could never recommend another plastic surgeon before him. I am so confident in his work that eight days after my 'Mommy Makeover,' I have scheduled for laser resurfacing of the acne scars. So, Dr. Alvarez completed my reduction and life, my augmentation a year later, my tummy tuck and lipo a year after that.. and now two weeks following my tummy tuck and lipo, he will be working his magic on my face. Abdominoplasty Procedure: March 10,2014 It was a wonderful experience being under the care of Dr. Clavijo. Dr. Clavijo makes sure to explain everything about your procedure during your consultation and prior to your surgery. He had my husband and I watch some videos about the procedure and then he explained to us some of his preferred techniques. He really wants to educate and inform the patient on their procedure and recovery. He showed us some pictures to give us a realistic idea of what the incision would look like post op so we would know what to expect. He is very thorough and makes sure all of your questions are answered. One of the things that I really like about Dr. Clavijo is that he does not rush or hurry an appointment when he is with you. He spends time with you and makes you feel like you really matter to him. One of the things that sets Dr. Clavijo apart from other doctors is he follows up with you after surgery and checks on you. He also gave me his contact information so I could call him at anytime with questions or concerns. He called me several times after surgery to check on me at home. He made me feel like I was his family member and not just another patient. I am eight weeks post op and I would highly recommend Dr. Clavijo to anyone who would like to experience first class medical care!
