Knee surgery...meds are very weak in pain csnt sleep they wont help me unless I do things that hurt me more or play phone tag with them I've been in pain for weeks

BEWARE. I was bullied into using an Avera Orthopedics provider while hospitalized at Avera. He did horrible work and we filed a complaint with the state medical board. Turns out this provider has a lengthy criminal history and had a judgement filed against him by another clinic.

I just love the doctors and staff at Avera Orthopedics. They are always so friendly and so kind, and are always ready with a smile and a helping hand. And Dr. OBrian is the absolute best! For 10 years I went to doctors begging them for surgery on my knee, to no avail. Dr. OBrian listened to me, ordered the proper tests, found the problem, and did the surgery. God bless him and all of the staff at Avera Orthopedics! I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I've seen Dr. O'Brien before and he and his team were AWESOME! However, I called to make another appointment. First, it took several calls over several days before anyone even answered the phone. Then I asked if could make an appointment at 3:30pm or later, because I'm a teacher that time would work for me, and the receptionist actually laughed at my question. I told her I'd try another doctor with later appointments and she said, 'OK'. So, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

My wifes incision came open shortly after discharge. She endured months of open wound treatment. Upon some investigation I discovered the Osteopath who treated her had a lot of legal issues. Orthopedic Institute is a much safer alternative.

Appointment was at 3pm. It is 4:50pm! Still waiting to be seen by our doctor. Was just offered to reschedule or be seen by a random CNP. My daughter got out of school early for this appointment and I'm am supposed to reschedule!? My last appointment with the same physician was so late I had to leave go to another appointment and come back. I was just told ' this sometimes happens' more accurately, this ALWAYS happens! I also had a botched surgery on January 2nd that required another surgeon to fix it. The only reason I am here is because the doctor was the one on call when I came to the ER and now I need this doctor to release me back to work. DO NOT PERPOSELY GO HERE UNTIL THEY FIX THEIR SCHEDULING!!!!!!

This is the first time I have been at this place on Marion road.dr Ambrose is an awesome dr.what I'm upset about is I went to the average hospital orthopedic were he has his office thinking he would be there.my husband. Had to bring me clear across town for my appt and I was not notified that he was at a different clinic.now my husband is going to be late for his appt
