I do not recommend this doctor to remove implants, my insurance has approved to remove them. He only wants to charge me in cash. He also offered to pop/deflate one of my implants in office =( recommended a lift although five other doctors said no way. I am trying to make my best judgment and I can honestly say I feel he is only about the money.

Amazing Surgeon!! I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction. He started my reconstruction at the time of my mastectomy and he and my cancer surgeon were a perfect team for me. I have all the confidence in the world in Dr. Tierney, I would highly recommend him to anyone, especially those going through breast cancer reconstruction. I couldn't have planned for a better outcome. I had no complications and I look better than I did prior to having breast cancer. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Tierney and his staff. They are all so kind, respectful and give the time you need to answer any questions and the wait time is always at a minimum. They made me feel so at ease. You will not be disappointed if you get this terrible diagnosis and need a great plastic surgeon, look no further.

The best way I can describe Dr. Tierney is that hes gifted and blessed. Hes a fantastic surgeon, and an amazing doctor in every way. I felt very comfortable with him and his staff from the very beginning. The results from my procedures are billboard-worthy; I absolutely love, love, love my results. His office staff is second to none. Brooke is a doll; shes kind, sweet, caring, and compassionate. From the moment you walk into the office, everyone makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. I followed all of Dr. Tierneys instructions pre- and post- surgery and had a pleasant and fast recovery each time. I am over the moon satisfied, and would recommend no other plastic surgeon but him, ever. Hes truly second to none!!

I came to Dr. Tierney for a reconstructive surgery after having a prophylactic double Mastectomy. I had reconstructive work done by another plastic surgeon and was very Unpleased with my results. I am so grateful I found Dr Tierney! He listened to everything I said about how I wanted them to look and made it happen! I could not be happier with my results as it had taken me 3 other reconstructive surgeries from another surgeon. His office staff are fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable and comforting! I have always had large breasts, but they got to a point where I suffered from constant back pain, migraines, sleep issues, etc. I finally decided it was time to fix this issue. My PCP in Cookeville referred me to a surgeon, but that doctor only worked on reconstructive breast surgeries, so that office then referred me to Dr. Tierney, and boy am I so glad that they did. I went to his website and read up on his reviews which were all amazing, and after meeting Dr. Tierney, I soon learned that all the reviews were spot-on. Some people don't care if their doctor has a good bedside manner, as long as, he or she is just good at what they do. However, it sure is a bonus when your doctor has both qualities, and I couldn't have asked for a nicer surgeon who also did a fantastic job with my breast reduction. I am so thrilled at the results and have never felt better. My breasts and areolas are now exactly the size that I asked for, I had a great recovery, & lastly, I have minimal scarring. I have always had self-esteem issues with my breasts, but now I just feel absolutely great about them. Dr. Tierney and his wonderful staff made my 2 hour trips (each way) totally worth it!! I have never felt more welcomed and at ease with an entire staff than when I did at Dr. Tierney's. If you are contemplating getting a breast reduction done, I would highly recommend going to see Dr. Tierney. You won't be disappointed, I can promise you that!

I don't know where to start. Dr. Tierney is simply amazing. I had a double mastectomy about 3 1/2 years ago. I didn't have breast cancer, thank the Lord. However, my mother passed away from it. I had tumor after tumor removed. I was at high risk for breast cancer. That's when I was referred to Dr. Tierney. He was very thorough with my husband and myself about that procedure. We both felt at ease with him. The whole process lasted about 2 to 3 years, from the mastectomy to the implants, to the nipple reconstruct. I am so very pleased with the results. It put me at ease knowing that I won't have to worry about breast cancer in the future. I owe this to Dr. Tierney and his staff. Everyone there is professional and very easy going .I would highly recommend Tierney Plastic Surgery. Thank you Dr. Tierney.

I am 42, and close to a year after my breast reconstruction following a double mastectomy. I was originally unsure if I wanted to get reconstruction, but I decided to do it, and SO glad I did! Dr. Tierney and his staff were simply amazing during the entire several-month process of surgeries and recovery. I had amazing care, and an over-all amazing experience. And the results of the reconstruction surgery are INCREDIBLE - well beyond my wildest and most hopeful expectations! I had never considered plastic surgery prior to my cancer diagnosis, but based on my experience with Dr. Tierney, I can say he is one of the best!

Double mastectomy with reconstruction. Explanations prior to surgery were very sensitive and thorough. Each time I came in, the behavior of all employees was very good. No matter how many times I asked the same question, they answered it as if it were the first time. With each visit, it was explained to me what would happen on the next visit. Dr. Tierney was thoughtful, respectful, and patient. He answered all questions thoroughly. His work was excellent. The results are very very good. As an example of their attention: I have an allergy to adhesive. My skin breaks down, ulcerates, and bleeds within 24 hours. Over the years, I have told doctors/surgeons of the issue and the response has been typically, 'Oh really.' After surgery, I would be taped with orders not to remove the tape for 5-7 days. Dr. Tierney's office came up with a wonderful idea on how to save my skin from the adhesive. If I were to need surgery again, I would call him.

Very DISAPPOINTED with my end results. I'm an African American who had a tummy tuck 2 or 3 years ago and it didn't last 10 months. I still cry when I look in the mirror and realize that I spent nearly $10k to look pregnant. When I went in for my first consultation, I told Dr. Tierney what I wanted---a flat stomach and the rolls taken out my back so I could wear a nice tank top in the summer. I was told it could be done & that it would cost a little more for the back and liposuction. Everything seemed fine for a few months as he said I was still healing. Once the healing was over and reality had set in I made a follow up appointment. When I questioned Dr. Tierney about it, he and his assistant/wife said to me 'I TOLD YOU THIS MAY NOT WORK BECAUSE OF THE SHAPE OF YOUR STOMACH'. I called them a lie because there was no way in the world I'd spend that much money on a 'maybe'. I left his office in blinding tears and never heard from him again. My before and after pictures look the same.

I went in initially to have my implants removed for my left breast had capulated and was becoming painful. I was encouraged to have both breasts replaced. I was torn for weeks about what to do but decided to go for it and paid $2000 cash upfront. The hospital charged $30,000! Had I known that upfront I would not have done it. I did have ins but still am left with oweing up to $5k. Right away I noticed something was wrong with my left breast .Went in 3 times to have it looked at. After the third time was told I needed to have it replaced immediately for it is trying to break through my skin! But to do that I would have to come with $2500 upfront. My ins deductable for the new year. Which I didn't have. That was in May. It is now Dec and no plastic surgeon will except my ins. I keep a bandaid on where it's trying to break through and it is becoming very painful! And it looks all deformed. All I can do is wait until it breaks through and check myself into the hospital and hope it doesn't become infected! When I informed his wife/office manager Jennifer that I didn't have the money to pay them up front she rudely told me 'we can't do it for free, don't know what to tell you' . so here I am still living with this painful nightmare! DO NOT SEE THESE PEOPLE!

He answered every question I had and, even though I made the last appointment of the morning, he made the time to do an additional procedure that I asked for at the last minute. Worst experience. Had small keloid scar after surgery for breast cancer and asked if there was anything that could be done. He stuck me 8 times with a needle and said hope you are happy now. Never went back for any follow up. If you are facing traumatic surgery like this please find a different doctor.

Dr. Teirney literally butchered my nose. He performed a quick evaluation and was to remove cartilage about the size of the lead on the tip of a pencil. The day after the surgery, the gauze fell off (which was not supposed to happen) and it was obvious that he had completely butchered my nose. After complaints to him, he tried to say that he thought it looked great and that even his nurse, which was/is his wife, thought so too during surgery...He told me that recovery can take up to a year so to give it time...a few months later with no change I contacted him again, and he stated that he thought it was a cyst in my nose that was causing it to look crooked, inflated in areas, and deflated in areas... So I went to dermatologist to have it looked at and paid the extra expenses to have injections, creams, etc with no results except scaring from the injections. After battling over a year with the deformity in my nose because I wanted to trust this doctor, I decided to get other professional opinions. As it turned out I had a deviated septum and inflamed turbinates. The report from ENT specialist literally wrote 'deformity due to surgery.' FROM DR. TIERNEY. He should have never touched my nose, especially since I had a deviated septum that he should have checked for. I called Dr. Tierney to report this finding and request a refund for this procedure since I had waited his recommended amount of time for healing. He refused to work with me. After he had given me the complete run-around he wanted to tell me it was too late to provide a refund. After much debate, he said he would 'think about it.' Of course, he never reached out to make matters right. Since then, I had to have surgery to correct Dr. Teriney's botched nose job....they had to break the bones in my nose to straighten my deviated septum, remove the inflamed turbinate and perform corrective surgery using remaining cartilage to reshape the tip of my nose since it was so messed up. I'm so much happier now that I had that mess fixed. I would never revisit this Doctor or recommend anyone allow him to touch you. It's one thing to make a mistake, but to not take responsibility for it, argue against it, be deceitful, and not even try to make matters right....It was the most terrible time in my life... I've lost all respect for this guy.
