I had one year of laser hair removal done and was told that the treatment would eliminate all hair regrowth. I went every six weeks as recommended. I was also informed that I may need minor touch ups. I am 2 1/2 years post treatment and youd never know I had it done. I was told that it would possibly help thin the hair but it hasnt. The receptionist I talked to 6/11/20 said she isnt sure what laser they used in 2017 or what they use now. I was told that I was a prime candidate as I have light skin and dark hair. When I called 6/11/20 I was told the 2 technicians that worked with me are no longer there so they arent sure why those people would say that it was permanent. But they do however offer touch ups but it sounds like youd need a whole treatment again. In a nutshell I have concluded that the laser used for treatment here provides only temporary results and not backed by any guarantee.Also, if a clinical personnel makes a claim at consultation or during treatment and no longer works here it will be used as the out/excuse of wrong claim. I did love my first clinical person that was there, she provided great a chair side experience.

I had emergency abdominal surgery in Feb 2019 and by May/June had developed an issue where my abdominal muscles had not healed together correctly (diastasis recti). I was encouraged to see a plastic surgeon to have it corrected to help ensure I would have the outcome I wanted. I was referred to Dr. Timothy McGee and couldn't be happier with his expertise and thoroughness. He patiently answered all of my questions and clearly explained what to expect and what I should do following surgery in order to avoid the same issue...information I had not been given after my first surgery. His nurses, Carey and Leslie, have also been excellent. I was anxious just calling to make the appointment, but all of that evaporated after speaking with Carey about why I wanted a consultation. She and Leslie have helped make the entire process as easy and comfortable as possible. I'm very happy with the outcome and can confidently recommend Dr. McGee and his team.

My experience with the staff at Westlake Dermatology has been nothing short of life-changing when it comes to the skin condition I am treating. My previous dermatologists would generally prescribe Prednisone and send me on my way. I started coming to Westlake Dermatology in summer of 2015. From day one they made it clear that they wanted to get to the root of my skin issues; their efforts and determination have brought me out of a life of discomfort and irritation to where I am today: virtually free of all my previous issues. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I paid for full leg laser hair removal (6 sessions 6-8weeks apart. I scheduled the 3rd appointment at the end of my 2nd (6 weeks out). They cancelled 4 days before the appointment, and were unable to fit me into a similar time slot until 3 weeks later, pushing everything back almost a month for the duration of treatment. The staff is friendly, and if you are going for a 1 or 2 appointment procedure, or if you have a completely flexible schedule, this is probably a good place, but I won't be going here for anything else.

Im so happy with procedure preformed by Dr. Tim McGee! I went in pretty anxious and unsure, he calmed my nerves, answered all my questions before I asked them, even took time for an additional visit before surgery. The staff is also amazing, his nurses are great, Carey is so nice and welcoming. The front desk ladies are also great, helpful and informative. Dr McGee exceeded my expectations, I highly recommend him and the rest of the staff at Westlake.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Sandoval recently and it was a horrible experience. I have been dealing with a long term issue that hasn't been properly diagnosed by any previous dermatologist or physician, so I thought I'd give Westlake Dermatology a shot. Dr. Sandoval is young, unprofessional, and extremely curt and self absorbed. She didn't bother listening to me explain the complexities of my case and medical history, told me the skin condition was essentially my fault and 'if I didn't stop doing what I was doing, I'd have it until my dying day.' She literally told me that and said she couldn't diagnose my condition and to come back in a couple of months after my skin healed, only prescribing me a basic anti itch cream. I have dealt with snide doctors in the past who have God complexes, but I was flabbergasted by how base and rude she was to my face. I'm done with this clinic and hope management takes patient's experiences like mine seriously!

An annual or concerning visit to a dermatologist can be scary, but the staff and doctors at Westlake Dermatology take the fear and apprehension away. They are kind, understanding, empathetic, and knowledgeable. A hands down recommendation.

Came in to have 2 moles and a skin tag removed, which went great. After, I was asked if I would like to have them sent in for a biopsy, and that I wouldn't be charged if the insurance didn't cover it. 3 weeks later, I get a bill for almost $500, of which about 60% of the total was for the biopsies. I called and asked about this, and was basically told that whoever said that was mistaken, and they were unable to help me. Completely unacceptable.

Dr Sandoval is amazing! She has diligently worked with me and my psoriasis condition and I started seeing results after 3 months. Today, I see minor skin discoloration, but no more scaly skin!! She has been amazing. Her advice and treatments over the past 6 months is way beyond what I expected as a patient. Jeff Painter who wrote a review is spot on! If your going for non cosmetic reasons and have skin issues this isnt the place. Creams were all I got recommenced. They never offered any products they sell or skin treatments. I was very disappointed. The Dr was fine, not great. I even walked away feeling embarrassed like maybe I shouldn't have said anything which was unfortunate reaction to my visit.

If you have skin problem I recommend Westlake Dermatology & Cosmetic. They have such experts there to repair & renew your skin back to a healthy pink without skinning you dry. Their treatment primarily includes courtesy, warmth, care and comfort leaving you with a perpetual smile. Even if there is no known cure as it happens in some skin disease Westlake Derms will prescribe a treatment that is no less than a cure. I am patient there and I feel so.

Westlake Dermatology in Round Rock is an awesome facility and every person there makes you feel welcome and a part of the family from the receptionist to the nurses, doctor and check our girls. Staff communications and service were terrible. I literally have to get surgery AGAIN, in the SAME area because they were so ineffective. I had to get a few moles (very, very close to each other) removed and instead of doing it all at once they only cut one, and now they want to basically cut into the scar that just healed to get the rest... (Why? To just get more appointments?). When I called them to discuss it (several times) the staff was super rude and deflected any responsibility. Nothing they said made any sense, and it felt like they were grasping at straws. At one point they even said they couldn't help it because it was 'different providers' who served me (in the same office!? And that also apparently means y'all can't talk to each other? And that's my problem as a paying customer HOW??), and then gave me a bunch of other non-sensical excuses. Will never go back. They might be okay for cosmetic things (I don't know), but if it's medical, good luck.

This place might be good for cosmetic surgery but for skin issues they arent effective. Prescribed me some very expensive creams for the face that didnt work and kinda made it worse. Was told it was something that suddenly popped up and would be permanent... I felt like that wasnt accurate so after a few weeks I went to a regular doctor and he prescribed me prednisone and a steroid cream... skin cleared up in a few days. Basically I wouldnt recommend this place for clinical dermatology at all.
