Dr Bowen found a rare cancer on my face and his bedside manner when delivering the news as well as future visits was so wonderful. I never felt rushed. I always felt like I was the most important at that time. I also brought my daughter to him to have her ears pinned back And he was so amazing with her. And they turned out so fantastic. After the devastating news that I had breast cancer, I was referred to a surgeon whom I did extensive research prior to the visit. During the initial consultation, he informed my husband and I he was retiring and also informed us of his choice to take over his patients and practice - Dr. Bowen. A second visit to meet Dr. Bowen occurred a week later and with the recommendation by the original surgeon and the research I did up to that visit provided us the confidence in his credentials. However, it was the visit itself that confirmed any questions or concerns this was the surgeon I wanted and needed for my double mastectomy and reconstruction. Both my husbands and my emotions were high and scattered with so many uncertainties but he answered so many and all my questions to the point that my husband said, what, is this a job interview!? I thought... yes, it is. Right? Dr. Bowen does not rush my appointments or makes me feel like others are waiting and that he needs to get to his next patient but most importantly he listens and takes the time I need to talk and he doesnt end an appointment until he makes sure all is good and there are no concerns or questions. I also do not have to wait. Most doctors nowadays schedule two or more people at the same time and you have to wait up to an hour to see anyone. Dr Bowen is very conscientious of my time and realizes my time is as important as his. His bedside manner is exceptional as well. I have a large family and less than half were present after surgery but he took time to answer their questions as well. I only stayed one night in the hospital but he came to see me before surgery and early the next morning in addition to his meeting with my family after surgery. I am only three weeks out from surgery and look forward to our continued path to my reconstruction.

I was referred to Dr. Bowen after receiving a breast cancer diagnosis. Understanding that emotions run high after such a diagnosis, Dr. Bowen and staff were extremely compassionate and empathetic. He explained in detail about my surgery, relieving any anxieties I had regarding his part of my surgery. The morning of my surgery there was a 'hick-up' with a procedure required prior to surgery (beyond Dr. Bowen's control.) This procedure ended up extending into an hour and a half past the time for my surgery. Instead of rushing or just waiting for me in the operating room, Dr. Bowen (and my surgical oncologist) met me in pre-op upon my return, pulled the curtain for privacy and calming and compassionately asked, 'Are you ok?' I had a lumpectomy and double reduction. I couldn't be happier with the shape and size of my breasts. Please let everyone know Dr. Bowen is not only a extremely talented surgeon but is also caring and kind.

Where do I even begin! Dr. Bowen is a phenomenal plastic surgeon! My first few appointments with him I walked out crying, because I'm young and a figure competitor and I wasn't ready for more changes my body was going to endure. Since I had radiation on my left side leaving my skin severely damaged, the only option I had was the Lattismus Dorsi Flap procedure if I wanted to have a breast again. I was in pure panic and thought my fitness journey was going to come to the end, but I listened to him and trusted everything he said to me and we went through with the surgery. Here I am today, beating all the odds and still enjoying my fitness journey. Even though my body is slightly alter, I'm still doing everything I love. It called overcoming and adapting to my new body. I recently just started prep again to compete in figure hopefully by the end of 2020! I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to have any plastic surgeries done, he is simply amazing and your body will be perfect! I received compliments all the time on how amazing my body looks with everything I've gone through! Just stop all your research and believe me because he will out performed any other plastic surgeons, and you will be beautiful Also is staff is amazing!

He repeatedly told me a was a good surgical candidate because of how I was responding to the trigger point injections. When I called to schedule my next appointment, the receptionist refused to make my next appointment after she tried to schedule me with the NP. Dr. Bowen had trained under the pioneer of the nerve surgery I needed so I wanted his expertise as well as he was the person I who was managing my care for the last year. After two weeks of giving me the run around, I was dismissed from the practice with the excuse that there was an influx of breast surgeries. The trigger point injections were the only thing that helped my chronic pain so it was disappointing to be refused care so abruptly as its almost impossible to find a specialist that does the injections and doesn't have a wait list months long.
