First our appointment got moved to be 2 hours later. Then when we got here, we waited for hours. When someone asked about their family member in surgery, Sandy, under Dr. Cassis, was very rude and tried to explain away everyones' complaints rather than just apologise and promise to fix them. She even told one lady that she was late, when in fact she came in 5 minutes before she was told to be here.

Best place in charleston!! Had a hip replacement surgery. Recovered 2 days in a private room. The chef Al would make my wife and I anything we wanted to eat, he was awesome. The nurses were the nicest, happiest people, such a pleasure to be around. The PT staff was incredible. Theres nothing negative i could say. Great place, wonderful staff!!!!! Thank you all.

MY 78 yr old mother had total left knee preformed by Dr Castle.First of all she was sent from Eastbrook Nursing with no meds no depend undergarments no medical history at all.I was informed by the therapist that my mother was the first elderly from a nursing home having this procedureat Charleston Surgical Hospital.The staff couldn't lift her I helped them.They didn't know of a Gates belt used to lift patients.They had no history of my mom.They asked if she had dementia.Evening shift didn't know of the weakness in her good right leg.My mom had to pee.The nurse almost had her to raise up and move out of her chair.Thank the Lord I was there to stop her other wise she would have fallen forward.They never knew she was a fall risk.The nurse hugged and thanked me.There was no communication between the two.But I was told they contacted Eastbrook a week ahead of her surgery.The facility can not accompany elders.I had to deliver her meds depends and had to call to get her transported.Please do not let ur loved one go here.The food was good but as far as the staff they are unskilled with elders with special need.BEWARE OF THIS PLACE PLEA SE.Now the blame is back and forth.They run them through like cattle.The surgery went well but it was difficult and a burden on my mom and family.

Told them I was severely allergic to surgical tape. Woke up covered in surgical tape. Had a terrible allergic reaction to the surgical tape...that I told them I was severely allergic to. Good times.
