He almost killed my mother, 3 surgeries on the same knee. It took 3 more surgeries on that same knee to correct with her new Dr. He caused infections when he went in to fix what he messed up on the first surgery. Would not recommend him or Mon General.

Dr.Darmelio is awesome!I saw him once in 2004, he diagnosed my issue in less than a couple minutes. Truly impressive.This time I ran into emergency situation where I could not put any pressure on my left leg. First let me say I knew I was having issues that needed looked at, I have had the same orthopedic Dr. since 2008 when I took a nasty tumble in 08 down concrete steps in my workplace. To shorten story that orthopedic group gave me hassle ,I called on 8/30.I called this morning, said I have emergency, never got a call back. Called for Dr. Darmelio, staff member was kind courteous, she ask if I could come in today absolutely. So thanks to that gal.Dr. Darmelio is professional ,kind, listens ask questions. I feel like I made right decision to jump ship through no fault of my doc of 9 yrs.Its the way they want to push the patients through where he is on staff. Dr. D has a plan and I trust his judgement!

I had bilateral patellar tendon ruptures and a meniscal tear with a sliver to remove. arthroscopically. Dr. Darmelio has an easy reassuring bedside manner, did the surgeries as one procedure taking about 2 h, and the outcome thus far has been nothing short of amazing! He visited me every day during my 4 d stay in the hospital and was very supportive, taking the time to answer a list of questions each day. His background in PT combined with his surgical expertise and engaging bedside manner make him an excellent choice for knee problems! I would use him again if needed (hopefully not)!
