Even before the swelling went down I could see to each side better now that my eyelids are no longer completely covering my eyelashes. And, I look 10 years younger. Dr. Ali Ghafouri and his staff know what they are doing. The process itself was quite quick as well and they provided thorough instructions so that I was prepared for the procedure and the healing. After week 1, my incisions were pretty much healed. I am now at week two and wearing makeup.

Horrible experience. Dr. Ghafouri is a very arrogant man. Never expect a follow-up call to see how you are doing after your procedure. If you feel dissatisfied for any reason don't try to say anything because Dr. Ghafouri will roll his eyes. The indifference with which they treat you the entire time since day one is already a strategy so that you don't feel you have the right to complain. Make sure you understand the difference between professionalism and disregard. Trust me, they will avoid you at all costs. Try to see someone else before making your decision. Don't get impressed by location and resume. I had my procedure done with Dr. Ghafouri and I regret it everyday.

One of my eyelids would not stay open and by nighttime, I could not keep that eyelid open to watch TV. The muscle had grown weak. Dr. Ghafouri lifted both eyelids and was able to repair the muscle. He did a great job and I do not have any problems since the surgery a couple of years ago.

I had ptosis surgery here. I must say my first impression of Dr. Ali G. was not so great. The only time he ever showed a smile on his face was the second visit after he heard I had paid for the treatment. My ptosis was very minor, it was more of a self conscious uneven top eyelid fold. After the procedure and healing process, I know now that my eyelid was reduced too short to the point when I go to sleep it's difficult for me to shut my eyelid. He never explained to me this was a possible scenario or gave me any methods on how to deal with it. Also, the muscle was affected so now I cannot lift it all the way up. Dr. Ali G, didn't seem interested either on how well the outcome was. When I told him that I couldn't raise my eyelid all the way up like before, he said most normal people will just move their head. I've paid in full for my initial consultation visit and procedure and yet continue to receive a post op follow up bill. I've called them several times to speak to the receptionist, they told me everything was cleared and that they don't charge for followup visits. I continue to receive the bill in the mail and when I call they just punt me over to accounting. Accounting never responds and goes straight to voice mail. I'm leaving two stars because I wasn't completely satisfied with the treatment. And this major annoyance of them not being able to resolve this bill. It seems to me, that once they've taken your money, it's easier just to avoid you.

When checking in as a new patient, the ladies up front do an amazing job. They thoroughly review insurance plan / coverage to make certain there are no surprises. They even had the name of my primary care doctor as shown on my Medical card corrected as I had never met the doctor listed as my primary care doctor. Dr. Ghafouri was very clear on the procedures that would be done and more importantly provided an open and honest dialogue on the expected results. In my case, as he put it, we're not going to hit a home run, but there will be a marked improvement. The limitations are insurance based. He thoroughly explained what would need to be done to hit that home run however and if I win the lotto, we shall then knock one out of the park. In the mean time, he will do all he can do with the limitations that are set by the insurance companies.

Dr. Ghafouri did my surgery on my upper eyelids. It could not have been a more positive experience with a great outcome. The day of the surgery I was very apprehensive. I have an autoimmune disease, and I have to be very careful about anesthesia and medication. The nurse, anesthesiologist, and doctor spoke with me before the surgery, addressed my concerns, and put my fears to rest. After surgery I had no pain and very little swelling and bruising. It has only been a week since surgery, and you can barely see any swelling or discoloration. My eyes look wide open, which has not been the case for many years. Best of all, I see better. Dr. Ghafouri Gets my highest recommendation.

Dr Ali did a procedure on both of my eyes, called PTOSIS, droopy eye-lids. He did a wonderful job, I had NO discomfort or No pain what soever . . . .very patience with me since I'm hearing impaired. I think it was a challenge for him bc I didn't want to wear my hearing aids, did not want to hear what was being said or what was going on. I had this done in Sept 2016. I would highly recommend him if u have PTOSIS.

Dr Ghafouri is an amazing surgeon. My 17 yr old son recently broke his eye socket and needed eye surgery as soon as possible. I was referred by my eye doc. I was so scared & worried. Dr Ghafouri did an outstanding job. I was warned that we would have all kinds of bruising after surgery and he would look as bad as he did when he first had his accident and that he would be down for s few days. Not the case with Dr Ghafouri. My son didn't look like he even had surgery. And went to his school dance two days after. This doctor has hands of gold. He is a bit on the quiet side but don't let that scare you away. He is absolutely the best!!! We are a few months after surgery and he believes my son will make a full recovery. I am forever grateful!!!!
