My experience with Dr. Chen and her staff was amazing! The customer service and patient care was top notch. I had called to set up a consultation after doing some research online. Dr. Chen quickly gave me several treatment options and we settled on the best option. The staff called and emailed me with clear instructions pre- and post-surgery. They would check in to ensure that I was healing well. I had multiple follow-up appointments with Dr. Chen and she always answered my questions. They were always there whenever I had any concerns and helped me feel confident regarding the surgery and healing process.

I have only good things to say about Dr. Chen and her staff. My 3 year old son tore his lip open falling at school back in May of 2019. Because his line of vermilion was affected, we needed a specialist to repair it immediately. I was terrified his beautiful face would be altered forever. He was in pain, and in hysterics. Dr. Chen squeezed us in between 2 pre-existing appointments. She was patient and calm and did the most beautiful job sewing his face back together. She called often after the procedure to make sure he was healing properly. We are forever grateful for her talented hands and positive, peaceful bedside manner.

Dr. Chen and staff are amazing. All the staff are very friendly!! The doctor is very attentive to your request and will give you the best advice. After doing my research I decided to choose Dr. Chen and did not regret it one bit! Definitely coming back for more!

Beware of Dr. Chen! I wish there was an option for Zero Star.... Do your research and choose a well-qualified Doctor that truly cares for patients needs and wellbeing not their money. I chose her to do surgery without doing any research and got the lowest level of care. My surgery time was cut short because she had another surgery right after mine. She has absolutely no bedside manner, and good luck getting a return call from her or her assistant. During my procedure her assistant kept on telling her the time every 10 minutes while she was doing the procedure. I have absolutely no improvement after 3 months and Im $6000 short. When I went back and talked to her about my concern, she wanted to add more surgeries and gave me another quote. Her exact words, email us your concern and I will give you a quote ? really? So what happened to the $6000, I paid you for the same areas which you absolutely had done nothing. Just warning anyone that decides to do any procedure with her, you will be disappointed!

Dr. Chen is amazing! She was my first consult and I immediately decided she'd be my surgeon. Her expertise and knowledge sold me. She's thorough and spends the time with you to feel at ease with any questions or concerns. I had a mommy makeover and the surgery went really well. After consultations with many plastic surgeons, we were referred to Dr. Chen. She is an outstanding surgeon and a knowledgeable physician. She performed a very complex procedure on our 16 year old son; which included but was not limited to the medical reconstruction of his nose and the harvesting of tissue from behind his nose. During our pre surgery consultations she took the time to explain in detail the procedure and always included our son in the discussions. She was extremely receptive to his opinion and input on his surgery. The surgery itself lasted about 5 hours and she was in constant contact with us on how the procedure was going. As a parent, I was and am most impressed by Dr. Chen and her staff (Marcy Yocum) for their availability to answer any and all questions regarding post surgery care, from the mundane to the more complex and serious). She was accessible via phone and text to our family during the weekend and this made the recovery process much easier and less emotional taxing. Follow up care and our by-weekly visits with Dr. Chen, have not been rushed . She takes time and care listening and answering all questions. My family and I highly recommend Dr. Chen to anyone requiring medical or cosmetic plastic surgery. Dr. Chen is outstanding, we need more physicians like her in the medical profession.

Dr Chen has been incredible. I had no pain or discomfort during or after the procedure. Dr Chen has answered all my questions and I was comfortable with her expertise and skill as a plastic surgeon. Dr. Joyce Chen was amazing! She is very personable and easy to talk to. Dr. Chen takes the time that you need with her and has great follows up. She helped me with deciding what is best for my body shape and was always professional. The surgery center in Irvine was also great. Overall my plastic surgery experience was top notch!After 3 children and breast feeding all 3 of them for 1 year each I was left with breast that made me feel horrible. I am super happy I made the decision to get breast augmentation done. I now have more confidence and feel more like myself. It motivates me to take care of myself more. The best thing I have done for myself in a long time!

I have been looking for the right scar revision Plastic Surgeon for years. Being an Asian woman, is not easy when it comes to our skin because our skin scars easily. I had five children that caused stretch marks on my lower abdomen, inner and outer thighs. Additionally, as a child I love climbing up trees and like to play with knives, cut twigs and other things, and cut myself too. Then on my late twenties, I had tattoos behind my left thigh that as I got older, I did not like it any more. I decided to have it surgically removed, but the doctor did not close incision the correctly. It a formed nasty keloid scar which looks ugly. I was very particular in picking a plastic surgeon who will understand my skin type. Here in California there are many Plastic Surgeons to choose from. I search and searched, every Surgeon I found seemed very knowledgeable, and had very good reviews. However, I still did not feel that they will give me the satisfactory results to my stretch marks and scars issues. Then, I came across Dr. Joyce Chens website. I read her reviews, and they were very good. Not only she is Asian herself; she seems to have more knowledge to the Asian people skin type. I called her office and the staffs responded promptly regarding my inquiries. They told me to come in for a free consultation, so I made an appointment right away. When I arrive at The Pacific Plastic Surgerys office on the day of my appointment, the staffs and Dr. Chen are very professional, courteous, and caring. I am so happy with the results regarding my stretch marks and scars. I did the three treatments and it made it looks so much better. I am so glad that I have found the Pacific Plastic Surgery Institute PC. All my experience with them is positive. My experience was very pleasant from my first greeting with the office staff. It was nice to be seen within 15 minutes of my arrival. This I have found is not very common with most doctors' offices. Dr Chen walked me through my procedure. To give you a little background, I had gone to my dermatologist to get some things checked out on my arm, then found out that they were nothing to be concerned about. However they did find two spots on my face that I was completely unaware of, one right next to my right tear duct. Dr. Mehr recommended Dr Chen to do the repair work after the carcinoma was removed. I was very nervous about all of this, Dr Chen was very honest and comforting in our consultation her bedside manner was excellent and follow up also. My face is healing very well even after a few weeks. I doubt that anyone would be able to tell that I even had any surgery on my face. I would recommend Dr Chen Highly to anyone.
