Dr Archibald & his staff are remarkable!!!!! Dr Archibald is soo talented yet I like how he is also conservative. Dr explains every procedure thoroughly as well as his wonderful staff Tray & Adrienne. My husband & I have had a few procedures done like stitching up basil cell on my cheek that was removed by a dermatologist. Also Dr had his work cut out for him when the basil cell on my ear was removed along with top part of my ear. He performed a couple surgical procedures and did a fantastic job with top part of my ear. My husband had to have some eye work done because the lids were effecting his vision. Dr Archibald did an excellent job with that surgery as well. Initially I was leery of a plastic surgeon until I met Dr Archibald & his staff. We trust them with any procedure whether its medically necessary or even cosmetic. I cannot rave enough about all of our experiences. My dermatologist referred me to Dr. Archibald for excision of an inclusion cyst on my right cheek -- it was the best referral I've ever received. Even though I was quite anxious about my first ever facial surgery, Dr. Archibald and his staff were so helpful in calming my nerves through their caring, gentle manner. All my questions were answered, and I felt quite confident about the procedure after our initial meeting. True to his word, I was pleasantly surprised by the minimal discomfort, swelling, and bruising that resulted. I had Mohs surgery on a Monday and after eight sessions I had a large portion of my cheek removed which went into my eyelid. My dermatologist scheduled the appointment for me before I left that evening. Dr. Archibald's office called to schedule a consultation before the surgery and had me come in before the office was even open so that he could explain everything to me and my husband. The surgery was fairly extensive and Dr. Archibald explained what could happen with the wound going into my lower lid. The surgery was performed so that the eyelid was not affected and, after 10 weeks, most of my friends and family can not tell that I have had surgery. The staff is kind and caring and my husband and I have been extremely happy with all of the care that I have received. I hope to not need plastic surgery in the future but, If I do need any more, I will definitely utilize Dr. Archibald's services. Would highly recommend Dr. Archibald and his office.

I recently was diagnosed with melanoma near my lower eyelid. I had MOHS surgery which left a gaping hole . To repair the hole under my eye I was referred to Dr. Archibald which I can honestly say was the best thing that ever happened. When I first met with Dr. Archibald he immediately made me less anxious, and explained in detail the surgical procedure. The results of the surgery were nothing short of outstanding. Despite the extensive plastic surgery needed to repair this gaping hole, in two short weeks there was hardly any indication of any scars. Dr. Archibald is an outstanding surgeon as well as a caring physician. My 96 year-old father had Mohs surgery at Vanguard Skin and, by chance, Dr. Archibald comes to Colorado Springs to help stitch up patients within their facial and neck areas. He's a very skilled surgeon but also very personable and tells you everything about the procedure to relax both the patient and the family. I stayed in the room the entire time while he worked and he was considerate to his assistants, my father (the patient) and me (as the family). I would definitely recommend his work. My father had a rather extensive area by his ear removed along with some of the ear lobe and Dr. Archibald rebuilt the earlobe to look natural and closed him up so that it is barely noticeable and we're only a month after the surgery. We were fortunate to have him again yesterday and he even remembered us. He's definitely got my vote for best plastic surgeon.

Every single staff member is so genuinely kind and caring, the office is amazing. It is a pleasure to go here. My face was incredibly swollen and bruised from an accident that broke my nose. I met Dr. David Archibald in October, 2018, and at the time I was beyond scared of what was ahead for me. I have a long history of skin cancer and have been through several previous surgeries including a skin graft to my upper lip area and 7 weeks of radiation to my nasal tip in 2009 for a BCC. The BCC on my nasal tip came back last year and due to the fact that I had radiation previously there was a concern that the forehead flap recommended by Dr. Archibald would not work. From the day I met him, Dr. Archibald was always kind, professional, attentive, caring and extremely honest regarding what to expect. I asked him (and his staff) 1 million questions, often asking the same questions over and over to the point I thought they would fire me. But he was always willing to listen to me and he always spent time helping me understand the process and what to expect. Nearly 1 year and 4 surgeries later, I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Archibald. I think he would say, I was a difficult case. I am extremely happy with my results and I highly recommend him to anyone that needs facial reconstruction. I even had another plastic surgeon rave about the results saying what a great job Dr. Archibald did for me. Dr. Archibalds staff is outstanding; Cathie and Trey are an amazing asset to his team. Dr. Archibald did my nasal reconstruction after Mohs surgery took a huge chunk out of my nose. It involved reconstructing a nostril, a large flap from my smile line, and a smaller flap from above. I am VERY pleased with the results. Most people don't notice anything, and some have said that even though they knew about it, they didn't notice or think about it when talking to me face to face. He also corrected my deviated septum, allowing me to breathe much better. Dr. Archibald is a true expert--I think he's the best and I trust him completely. He is also great at describing what to expect, both before and after a procedure. The entire staff is very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. Everyone always calls me by name--they just make me feel welcome and relaxed. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I had basal cell carcinoma removed on the area between my top lip and the bottom of my nose. I was recommended to Dr Archibald to repair the area after having mohs surgery. I was very concerned about what kind of scar tissue would be left. But the healing process was so much faster than I had even hoped for! The picture I'm attaching shows what my lip looked like day 1, day 5, and then day 9. In the time between surgery and when the sutures had to come out, I had to leave town due to a family emergency. Trey was so good to work through the situation with me. I would like to share the experience that I had with Dr. Archibald and his team. I was told by my dermatologist that I would need to have nose reconstructive surgery due to two skin cancer spots. The thought of this absolutely terrified me so much that I even asked what would happen if I didnt do it. Not an option of course. The Mohs surgeon took 6 hours because they had to go back 5 different times on each spot. Im sure there wasnt much to work with when I got to Dr Archibald. I ended up having to have the forehead flap procedure. After my surgeries were completed Ive shown several people the results, medical people I dont really know, friends and family. Their responses are always the same, If you hadnt said anything I would have never known and It looks amazing. Personally, I think my nose may even look better than before. I cant even thank Dr Archibald and his amazing team (Cathy, Adrianne and Trey) for not only making a trying experience almost pleasant but for their warmth and caring. I have known Dr. Archibald since Dec. of 2014, when he performed surgery on an area between my nose and upper lip where I had just had a dermatologist remove melanoma. The hole looked huge to me and impossible to cover. At the time I was gratetful the melanoma hadn't spread and the hole was a secondary concern, although I was a little anxious about the suturing process. Dr. Archibald brought a serenity to me with his knowledge and calmness and reassurance. I was impressed with his compassion and his wanting me to be informed about how he would close the wound. The final result was beyond my expectations.A little over a year ago I decided, at age 75, to continue working in a competitive field and I wanted to refresh my looks to reflect the spirit I felt inside of me. I had 5 days of surgery to remove melanoma from my cheek. My dermatologist set me up with a plastic surgeon due to the large crater on my face. I was so lucky he picked Dr. Archibald and his staff. The morning I received news that I was finally clear, Cathy called. Cathy set up everything for surgery at Castle Rock hospital the same day. Dr. Archibald arrived at 5:30pm. I was his 7th procedure of the day and I appreciated that he stayed so late. The surgery took 3hrs and I went home that night. I am extremely happy with the results and after 3 months it looks great. Dr. Archibald produced amazing results that far surpassed my expectations. I had melanoma on my face and had much of my cheek removed. I am not even 3 weeks out and there are parts of the incision that you can't see! Friends who have come to visit a few days after, a week, etc were completely shocked at how good my face looked. He is also an extremely kind and sweet man - beyond what I've experienced in a doctor before. He did the surgery on a Friday night and told me to call him over the weekend at any time if things didn't look right or if I experienced any pain. My 3 year old son had a pylomatricoma/sebaceous cyst on his cheek. We were referred to Dr. Archibald by our pediatric dermatologist. Dr. Archibald and his entire staff are nothing short of incredible. The incision on my sons face is healing far better than I could have ever imagined that it would. Absolutely stunning results! I would recommend this practice hands down. I cannot day enough positive. Every interaction with them is thorough, professional and fantastic.
