She is an example of old school bed-side manner. Additionally, her staff were key in helping me processing and submit my insurance paper work and the communicate was great throughout the whole process. Dr. Pinell help me regain my confidence, improved my way of life, and has help me get back on track to a healthy life style.

I am a Breast Cancer survivor and have had a rough time after all the chemo. I have had multiple surgeries, the biggest being a double mastectomy. I chose to go implants because the thought of a DIEP tissue reconstruction scared me. I did the expanders and implants, then my body kept forming encapsulations around the implants and I had to have them replaced a few times. Seeing multiple doctors. Finally after the 3rd replacement I was told I needed to do the DIEP tissue reconstruction. Dr. Pinell and Dr. Davison were the most positive, caring, knowledgeable doctors! Dr. Davison put my mind at ease, answered every question I had, even when I asked them multiple times. He was very patient with me, very kind and had a calming way about him. I consulted with him a few times, finally begging for him to remove my implants, due to COVID-19 my surgery was postponed for a month. He removed them under general anesthetic which scared me! Again, he had a calming way, played music, joked and we had a great time! When it came time for my DIEP surgery, which was on my birthday! I met Dr. Pinell for the 1st time. She was just as easy to talk to, calm, positive, caring and I knew I was in great hands! The 8hr surgery went well, until about 11pm. Then things went a little sideways. Dr. Pinell jumped into action, no himming or hawing. She didn't take any unnecessary precautions and was AMAZING! She came and saw me every day while in the hospital, her calm demeanor was comforting and encouraging. This woman deserves 100 GOLD STARS in my book and every award out there! I am so grateful to have found such an amazing Dr. Thank you, thank you, thank you again Dr. Pinell and Dr. Davison!!!

I shouldve wrote this months ago, but now Im going to finally give my review. My son had a keloid on his ear from a piercing and it damaged his self-esteem. We both wanted it removed because he was weeks away from his high school graduation. Im so glad that I brought my son to DAVinci Plastic Surgery. Dr. Pinell did an excellent job on my sons ear. Its almost a year and my sons ear looks amazing and his self-esteem is high again. Two thumbs up for DAVinci Plastic Surgery.

It's a bit odd to use the word pleasant when describing minor surgery. Dr. Davison did my breast augmentation in March. I couldnt be happier with my results! They look absolutely perfect and natural, just like I wanted. Him and his staff are amazing. This was the first time that I had ever had any type of surgery, but I wasnt even nervous at all on surgery day b/c I knew I was in great hands. Recovery was fast and easy. And I have very minimal scarring. You wouldnt even notice the scars if you didnt know they were there. Dr. Davison is one of the best at what he does. I was very please with him and his staff. Back in 2003 I had a breast reduction and after having three kids breast tissue began to grow under my arm pits. This year I decided to go back and have a consultation regarding my abnormal situation and after my consultation I decided to have this tissue removed. I was very pleased with Dr. Davidson's work both times. I had battled with this issue for 10 years and I'm very glad I made this decisions to have it removed. Thank you Dr. Davidson.

Dr. Pinell performed a cyst removal on my knee, which was very scary for me, personally. This was my third cyst removal in the last several years and the first two (with other doctors) did not go well at all. I fainted during both previous operations and ended up with scars as well.During my pre-surgery appointment, I ran through the same routine with Dr. Pinell as with the other doctors. I told her I'm not good with surgery and will most likely faint during the operation. Dr. Pinell took note of that and when it came time for the actual surgery, she did something no other doctor, whether surgeon or otherwise, has done for me: she came prepared based on my personal needs.Dr. Pinell brought in some ice water and a cold towel for my neck and forehead and was assisted by a nurse (I think, apologies if she was a Doctor too!) who was ready to deal with me should I faint (I did). On top of that, before even beginning, Dr. Pinell actually genuinely and sincerely made absolutely sure I was 100% comfortable. I've never had a Doctor treat me like an individual, and I have almost always had a PPO, so it isn't like I've been going to poor doctors with bad insurance. One of the best things about all this: she actually waited until I came back to from my fainting spell before performing the surgery, something the other two doctors did not wait to do, as I'm sure they were worried about the appointments that were coming after me. To top it all off, it has been a little less than a year, and I have no lingering issues with my knee and I don't even have a scar to show for it!I told Dr. Pinell this after my surgery and I tell the world this now too: I wish she could be my primary care physician because I have never had such an incredible experience with a doctor. I would do whatever I could to schedule an appointment with Dr. Pinell if I were you!

STAY AWAY! I saw Dr. Davison for a labiaplasty. After the initial surgery, the results were extremely asymmetrical, so I scheduled a revision surgery. After the revision, my results were still very noticeably asymmetrical. I scheduled a post-op visit with him several weeks later to discuss. He was a no-show for my visit and upon arrival, I was told that I would instead be seeing the 'practice manager', who was not a doctor. Why is someone who is not a doctor seeing my naked body and rating the results? Following that visit, I tried several times to re-schedule a visit with Dr. Davison, and each time I tried to schedule something, I was told he was 'out of the office.' On one side of my body, my sutures were so tight they caused extreme pain. On the other side, too much was cut away during the procedure, which also caused extreme pain while my skin tried to stretch to accommodate the loss. Because of these two mishaps, my downtime was stretched to three weeks with constant icing becoming a necessity, and barely being able to walk.A note on patient care for this practice: give your patients post-op instructions (I had to google the procedure to figure out the proper way to care for myself) and a list of supplies prior to their procedure. That way, they don't have to go to CVS in pain and covered in bandages. Not to mention the risk of popping stitches - which did happen to me while I was standing in line buying supplies, and was treated as no big deal when I called the practice because I couldn't stop bleeding heavily for three days.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer 5 years ago, and then again in January of this year. I had genetic testing done and it was discovered that I had the BRCA 2 gene. I decided to have a bilateral mastectomy. My cancer doctor, Dr Pennanen recommended Dr Pinell. I was not looking for any change to my body, I just wanted to look normal, and was not happy about my surgery. I scheduled the surgery for March 21 2019. The mastectomy was very challenging for me. Dr. Pinell assured me that everything looked good, although it sure did not look good to me! She told me that the expanders were different than the implants, and that it would work out. I wasn't convinced and worked to accept all the changes that I saw happening to me. Because of the lumpectomy I had, they needed to fill me slower on one side than the other, so I was lopsided for a while. The final surgery was June 24, 2019. When I woke up, I was amazed. I looked normal. I would pass the locker room test, that if I was in a communal changing area, no one would notice that I was any different that any one else. All my clothes fit, and people that did not know that I had a mastectomy, couldn't tell the difference. My daughter also has the BRCA 2 gene. She has witnessed my surgery and had decided to use Dr Pinell for herself. I'm so glad she decided to put herself in such capable hands!

Dr. Davison is a master at his work. I have been on a preventative mastectomy journey and through every step Dr. Davison has reassured me that it will all work out. He has taken time to sit with me and express all my concerns and is a true master when making incisions. I have recommended two other patients to him who LOVED his work as well. I highly recommend Dr. Davison as a plastic surgeon, he not only is an amazing surgeon but has great bedside manner. All of the nurses at the hospitals rave about his work. I had the best experience at DAVinci with Dr. Davison and his staff. I went in October 2018 because I had a medical issue that needed correcting. The procedure was explained well, the options for what I could do were detailed, the finances were discussed and within a month I was scheduled. I explained how I had a bad experience with anesthesia some years ago and that I'm not a good pill taker. The staff were all over it! They took my concerns seriously and I had the best post-op experience because of it. I was walking around and in very little pain/discomfort within about 2-3 days. I was back at work in about 5 business days and back at working out within a month. When I went for my 6 month follow-up and things 'settled', I had a slight issue with appearance on one side, and Dr. Davison was like 'well, let's fix it!' And he did. Not to mention, he waived his fee as well. Pretty much unheard of in the medical industry. Needless to say, that impressed me. Overall though, I've never had a negative encounter with anyone from his office, they've always been super friendly and helpful, and I am truly happy with the overall outcome. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Davison to, well, everyone!

I wont be disclosing my name due to privacy & I have been meaning to review this months ago. I went here months ago for a consultation for an umbilicoplasty. The first strike was not using gloves to examine my navel. Then the doctor states that I shouldnt go through the surgery because of scarring which is fair enough, but I didnt want to hear unsolicited comments about my ugly looking navel. Luckily, I have found somewhere else in which I can go through with it. I will not be returning here even if I do want a different type of surgery.

Dr. Davison is an amazing and he is one of the best plastic surgeon. I just had a breast reduction with Dr. Davison which he performed at Sibley Hospital. I was a double HH at a high of 5.1. My breasts were killing me. My surgery was back in May this year. Let me tell you that even the nurses at the hospital respect and love to work with Dr. Steven Davison. My friend Angie told me about him and she praised his work. I checked Dr. Davisons reviews and most of the reviews praised his work. I read one or two reviews with minor complains about him and his staff. I can honestly tell you that I can be a difficult patient because I have no tolerant for pain. Dr. Davisons staff was amazing and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to help you and to make sure you receive the highest care there is. The last time I saw the doctor at his clinic I read a plaque given to him by his students at the Georgetown hospital; they all love him. This doctor is not a regular plastic surgeon; he has triple degrees. I just want people to know the truth. He changed my life. My brother and husband said that this doctor is an artist. My scar is just a thin line. I am glad I trusted my friend and didnt believe any negative reviews.

Let me begin by saying I cannot express how much I love Dr. Davison and his amazing staff. I have been a repeat patient of Dr. Davison's going on 4 years now. I first met Dr. Davison over 4 years ago for a consultation for reconstructive surgery because I was diagnosed with breast cancer. He was so kind, patient, and made me feel very comfortable and well informed. I was super nervous and had loads of questions. He sat with me for almost a hour and answered every single question I had and also my mom's questions. He even drew pictures to help me understand the process. You can't even see the scars and you would think I just had a great breast augmentation. Since then, I have gone back to him for several procedures. Even though it's a doctor's office, I always look forward to my appointments. His staff is so welcoming and make me feel like one of the girls. They are always helpful and informative. Every procedure or surgery, and I've had several, Dr. Davison has done is top notch. All the results have been amazing and I have been more than pleased. I researched quite a few doctors before finally deciding on Dr. Davison. As a runner, I had a lot of concerns about getting a breast augmentation but he really listened to my questions and he and his staff helped me pick the perfect size. Im almost 2 years post op and I love my breasts. They look natural (but better :-) and I am still able to run. My mother even went there for her post breast cancer augmentation, to include an implant replacement and reduction/lift on existing breast, and she gets compliments from doctors on how well it looks

My experience at DAVinci was outstanding. Being a medical professional and having worked in surgery for over 12 years I was able to make an informed choice. After considering other area surgeons and talking with people in the industry I decided to have my mommy makeover done by Dr.Davison. The bottom line is that he has great RESULTS! Amazing! The DAVinci staff are kind and professional. They patiently answered all of my questions and supported me throughout the process. They are still very supportive throughout my recovery. No question was too small. I was also at ease knowing I had a Johns Hopkins Sibley MD anesthesiologist with years of experience. My anesthesiologist, Dr.Beauregard, was wonderful. I has a smooth wake up with zero nausea.The whole process went well. From beginning to end I was always met with professionalism and warm enthusiasm. Nora, Buffy, Grace, Jill and anyone else I am missing, you guys are the best!I highly recommend DAVinci!

Office is nice and clean. I paid for a. K dilation for a procedure was there for about five minutes before I was called bank which was cool but my consultation was about as long as my wait. When I tried to ask questions I was directed to merge with another Dr. he partners with to coordinate my procedure. I was upset as I was going to have to pay another consultation fee but seriously the other Dr. was worth it. He actually spoke with me about his part in the procedure what to expect, his experience. A month goes by still no appointment date then I was told to come in for something other than my visit. This was in November 2016 still no date as of 4/27/17 other than me coming in for another consultation that I have not heard if I'm going to have to pay or not. As I'm not really stressing the 150.00 and travel time from another state it could've been better. The second Dr. I met with helped the rating.

He performed my DIEP flap reconstruction surgery immediately after my Breast Surgeon performed my bilateral mastectomy on May 16, 2018. I was diagnosed with DCIS stage 0 breast cancer. After the surgery the biopsy of a lymph node came back showing I had stage 1 so I had to go back in to have that nipple & areola removed & Dr. Davison did that too. He is also doing my breast revisions next year. My family & I are so pleased with his work & I thank God for placing me under the care of such a skilled surgeon!!!

I went to Dr. Davison following Moh's surgery to close the wound where there had been basel cell skin cancer just under my eye on the upper cheek. It is a very sensitive area and not a place you can hide! Dr Davision's work was a piece of art - it's less than a week since stitches were removed and the surgery site is virtually invisible. If I were to need (or opt for) any plastic surgery in the future, I would return to Dr. Davision without hesitation. His entire staff is also delightful.

I feel compelled to write this review. Lots of people go to doctors, specifically, plastic surgeons, and want to hear what they want to hear- but they don't really want to 'listen' to someone else's experienced opinion, a professional, in this case. That's not fair. Please listen to the opinions of many surgeons and make your educated decision based on who you felt most comfortable with, in my case, it was the one who I felt knew what he was doing with the amount of experience he had, and was most honest with me. I put my trust in Dr. Davison and I am so glad I did.As someone who has been a patient of Dr. Davison's since 2012, I could not be more happy to have him doing what he does! Everytime I go to his office, there are patients waiting to see him- patients who don't write reviews, patients who are the silent ones that you didn't realize got something done (surgically or otherwise). I had seen 4 surgeons in the DC area prior to choosing Dr. Davison, and I am so glad I did. Lots of these guys are surgeons, yes, but not many of them have an art in it. I noticed nearly ALL of Davison's breast augmentations were symmetrical and not lopsided, compared to the other doctors. I noticed all the rhinoplasties that he had done were a, '..did he or didn't he?' type of look. That is the doctor you want to work on you. In 2012, I got my nose straightened and a breast lift without implants. Some people really like that augmented look in breasts, but I did not. I wanted something that looked natural. I had lost a lot of weight and just wanted my body back to the youthful look it was prior to my weight loss. Dr. Davison was very honest with what I should expect. He didn't tell me what I wanted to hear, he told me what I should expect with these requests. Having lost a lot of weight, I didn't exactly have a lot of breast tissue to work with and he warned me that I may end up with a small breast at the end of the surgery. I'm grateful for his expertise. In the end, I loved it and ended up being a C cup, which was perfect for me. It may not be what many other women want, as women seek to enlarge their breasts daily, but it's what I wanted. They were perfection. I did not have children yet, and I feared, through family genetics, my breasts may enlarge after having kids, so I skipped the implants. I was right. Today I'm a D cup. One of my main concerns also, was that I wanted to be able to breastfeed. Dr. Davison told me that I absolutely could when the time came. While in the hospital, the lactation consultants told me many surgeons lie to their clients and they are not able to breastfeed. I told them my surgeon was not like the others. I breastfed for 9 months after my first son was born in 2015, without any complications whatsoever! Thank you, Dr. Davison!Recently, I went in for some botox.. I had never gotten it done before and did it as a preventative. Once again, I trusted him and told him to just do what I need, which he agreed. He is simply awesome. Dr. Davison is friendly, smart, and incredibly talented. His staff explained everything to me, what to expect, and how to handle everything I needed before and after surgery. Listen to his opinion and open your eyes to his experience. You won't be disappointed!!!

I had surgery on my face with Dr. Davison approximately a year ago. I consulted with him after Nora's suggestion (who I regardly see for my botox.) I waited until a year after surgery to review because I know that it takes a long time for the face to reach the final results. Having patiently waited, all I can say is I AM THRILLED. My results are better than I could have imagined and so beautiful and VERY subtle. Everyone says I look happier, or better rested, or like I got a peel, and can't quite tell I had surgery. It is fantastic. I had surgery previously with another high profile surgeon in DC and was displeased with my results so for this surgery I wanted a new doctor. After many years of being unhappy with the appearance of my labia minora, I did extensive research and found Dr. Davison who performed labiaplasty on me 5 weeks ago. I am not only THRILLED with the result (and am not even fully recovered yet!) but I give this incredible surgeon 5 stars for his compassion, his skill, his knowledge, his humor and for having the best medical office staff I have ever encountered anywhere. This surgery is controversial to say the very least and Dr. Davison not only dispelled every negative thought or fear I had, but he delivered precisely the result I wanted, and in fact far-better than I could ever have imagined. The procedure is not difficult (can drive yourself there and home); it is performed under local anesthetic (i.e. novacaine) and the recovery discomfort and down time is easily managed. It was worth every dime and every moment of my time in recovery to finally like the way my vagina looks and feels. If you have found Dr. Davison, book an appointment and if you are a good candidate for this surgery, look no further. He and his professional staff will treat you with respect and warmth throughout the entire experience. I recommend Dr. Davison without reservation or hesitation.

I was referred to Dr. Davison by my oncologist to remove a tumor. That surgery was successful, however, the splint was placed incorrectly on my arm, which pulled apart my stitches. This caused me to be on pain meds for an abnormal amount of time (we didn't realize why I needed the pain meds so much until the splint was removed one week post-surgery), and also left a gaping wound - not exactly ideal in an immunocompromised chemo patient. The wound eventually healed (slowed by chemo) and left an ugly, dramatic scar - not what you would expect from a plastic surgeon. Went back to Dr. Davison to revise the scar. On a follow-up visit he failed to remove all of my stitches. I had to return for an additional follow-up where he, finishing up the visit, told me to 'come back if I noticed any additional stitches'. I looked down at my arm and immediately pointed out another couple that he had missed. Technically, he did his job, and it was a tricky surgery - the tumor was by my elbow, and thanks to Dr. Davison's decision on how to go about the surgery, I still have a full range of motion in the arm, but I definitely wouldn't return or recommend him.

Dr. Davison and his team are amazing. From the first office visit, through surgical prep and post care, they were nothing but professional, personal and caring. The results are beyond my highest expectations. After a bad bicycle accident, that left the side of my face torn open and my eyelid badly damaged. Dr. Davison has masterfully re-created both my image and self-confidence after a double mastectomy in 2013. My only regret is that Dr. Davison was not my initial surgeon. I went to Dr. Davison after 2 failed attempts from the previous doctor who treated me as though I was fortunate that the cancer was removed and I should be happy that he had created cleavage! After that horrific appointment, I went to Dr. Davison and in our initial appointment, Dr. Davison provided a plan, timeline and the confidence I needed that I could be whole again.
