Where do I start? He is such a wonderful person and a Great Physician. My spouse and I worked in the medical field for many years and this helped us to know just how special he is with his patients. What is also amazing is that his staff has that same caring attitude. Ginger RN, makes you feel as though you have been part of their group for years. The office staff is always so helpful. And at no time, have they ever acted as though you were a bother to them.To end with my experience with this group of wonderful people. My experience at Gumucio Plastic Surgery has been extraordinary. I have been very pleased with two minor surgical procedures Dr. G has performed for me. He is a compassionate gentleman, an extraordinarily skilled surgeon, and has the wonderful capacity to put you at ease in all situations. I couldn't recommend him more highly for both his skills and his warm personality.I also regularly see Catherine for a facial treatment. Catherine is excellent. She is professional, skilled, up-to-date on 'the latest options,' listens to and answers my seemingly endless questions, and like Dr. G is kind, empathetic, and just plain fun to be around.And lest I forget to mention the staff--nurses, receptionists, assistants and all. I have found each of them to be delightful in additional to being professional, attentive, efficient, and helpful in all situations.And finally, Gumucio Plastic Surgery has the most wonderful aquarium.

The entire staff was lovely! The ladies at the front desk dealt with some issues for us very professionally while smiling the entire time. I am a caretaker, but the doctor spoke to the patient directly rather than me about the procedure which meant a lot to her. Great experience!

First, I would like to start with the fact that the office was outdated. The exam room for my consultation felt more like a clinic where I would have been seen for a sore throat, not to discuss plastic surgery.After the exam, I asked to see example photos of other patients who had breast reductions w/ lifts. He brought back an old photo album with a few 4x6 photos that looked to be from the 80's. No pictures of recent patients.I then mentioned how I want the reduction, but I would like to have an aesthetically pleasing result (meaning I wanted them to be lifted and still have some fullness to them, just be much smaller). He proceeded to tell me that I must not really want this surgery b/c women who do, don't care about the aesthetic results, they just want the weight gone. I found this to be very insulting as I have wanted this surgery for a very long time, and any person who hasn't experienced size 38 F breasts has no right to say what I do and don't want to do with them.I then explained that I don't want them to look deflated (as the few pictures he showed me would suggest my results may be). The pictures were of much smaller breasts, yes, but were slightly sagging and deflated with no fullness to them at all. He said he didn't understand my terminology, and that he can't guarantee anything, but that they will not be full or perky at all and laughed at me saying that he really hopes he can give me the result I'm looking for, but that's it very unlikely, and again mentioned that other patients don't worry about these things when coming in to discuss reductions.I understand he can't guarantee a certain result, but I went away from the consult feeling insulted, and in no way comfortable with proceeding with the surgery. I have since had another consult where there were more up to date before/after pictures that were all very much in line with what I was looking for as far as results go. The office was in pristine condition, and the doctor made me feel very comfortable and validated my concerns, not once telling me that I must not want the surgery just because I had questions about the aesthetic side of the procedure.

I first started with Dr. Gumicio when he was located in Conyers for acne and followed him to Athens when it reoccurred years later. I drive almost an 1 1/2 to see him because is very honest and caring. And very honest and truthful during his consultations. He will not do something that will leave a person disfigured or mislead them just for the money. My son had a mole removed, which I recorded for YouTube and he was excellent. No scarring and it took less than an hour. The staff also helped me with insurance issues and kept me updated on what I needed to do. I have always been treated with respect and I was not belittled when he was honest with me about lipo. He was right about what he told me to do and that saved me thousands of dollars, a lot of pain, and discomfort. He could have taken my money, with no afterthought, as I have experienced with a doctor my daughter went to and botched her up. His office was comfortable, nice, and loved the giant fish tank! I would rather sit there where I feel like I am cared about, instead some high end swanky office that just wants my money.

I found everyone there to be friendly yet professional. Dr. Gumichio is very pleasant and understanding. He doesn't give you false expectations. If anything he doesn't give himself enough credit. I pretty much had a crater from my biopsy that I'd had prior I only hoped for it to look better. You absolutely can't tell where it was.
