I came in for a toothache over a hour and 30 minutes ago. No one has came into my room to see me and the left side of my face is swollen. I wouldnt suggest anyone come here. They have no sense of urgency here! Never will I come here again. I asked for the charge nurse about 15 minutes ago shes still a no show. DO NOT COME HERE!

Came in on an emergency with my father but their service here was excellent.We were handled with respect and politeness.The timing was not like average hospital visit (long)although it was an emergency.Thks Hillandale!

Mrs. MARCIA was my nurse this afternoon. I came in for a burn treatment and she was the best a real life saver. She was more knowledgeable than my doctor. Treated with Silvadene, bandaged me up. Just in time!! My doctor was about to put petroleum jelly on my burn and cook me even more. Thank you Mrs. Marcia for saving me today!!

Parking is horrendous! Most of the front spots that should be handicapped are for doctors. Then instead of being able to walk from one department to the next you have to drive to another part of the hospital, look for another space, its ridiculous. Hopefully the care has improved because the outside is a mess.

Dr. Michael Lassiter was truly graceful, attentive to ALL his patients and effective. Was shocked to see how well their system of getting patients of various needs, helped almost like clockwork. My mother was admitted, she was on the 4th floor, Tech Sharon and Nurse Matthew was excellent, Tech Latoya could use sensitivity training and respect the visiting family and patient. After, speaking with Charge Nurse, Joan I felt comfortable leaving my mom at Hillandale.

This emergency room is so slow. I spent 8 hrs in the emergency room after finding out that they misplaced my chart. I had to sign and initial documents all over. And other patients still were seen before me. Terrible place.

Today I went to the Emergency room for what I thought was an insect bite. I believe I stayed in the emergency room for less than two hours the medical staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable. A nurse practitioner by the name of April Blad was very helpful in explaining to me what the problem may be and subscribe some antibiotics.

My husband had to endure the constant loud machine which was responsible for giving fluid to his body. I complained early on that day, but no solution to the problem. It was evident that the machine was malfunctioning, but the night staff on duty did not appear to be concerned. When you call the nurse button to let them know, they took at least an hour to respond. No relief for him.

I was there Christmas day with horrible service my son is only 11 months had a temperature of 105 and we stayed in the waiting room for two hours with no medicine. the nurse Beverly was very rude and I would never go back here again! They cared too much about their potluck they were having and couldn't care less about my son!

Came to the emergency room with chest pains. After putting me in the hallway for 3 hours. The only thing that was done was a shot and x-ray and sent me home. Saying nothing was wrong. This is the worst hospital in the world. Don't come here if you are in need of care.

I brought my mom to the emergency room who has paralysis on the left side but can move with assistance. I walked in the emergency room to get a wheelchair, the security guard and the tech informed me how to get the wheelchair rolling. &Then watched as I struggled with my mom. When I came in i said youll saw me struggling with my mom, you couldve come out and helped. They collectively said you could of asked and looked at each other and said these young folk and the laughed. 1st of all, youre watching the door for what, if youre not courteous to ppl, who are coming for help. Other hospitals, they come out and help regardless. Wheres the respect!!!! I literally told them, Im not a teenager; Im grown. We all need help at one point or another. I hope the treatment is fair when u need it.The ER staff was amazing. to Jack & Kevin. The GI staff, Dr Foster...Awesome.I read some other reviews regarding the staff here. There are some miscommunications, laziness and training issues. The nursing team could be more supportive of one another and get things done.

So I was going to complain about the long wait in the ER for my son, but the service I received today completely outweighed the long wait. My son's physician, David (don't remember last name), the nurse, and even the admin that checked us in and checked us out were absolutely AMAZING! I've never had a doctor come back to the waiting area to check up on a patient while waiting for labs to come back. Never had an admin offer my son snacks before leaving to help him feel better. The staff today was truly amazing.

Worst freaking hospital in Decatur, they make you wait in the ER forever. Then it takes a decade for a doc to come look at you. The nurses move at their own pace (inconsiderate)...

I went to the ER in the early AM on Christmas day. I had all of the symptoms relating to the flu. After being swabbed, it was confirmed I had the flu. I was given a shot and a codeine tablet. During my release, I was given prescriptions to get filled. Later around 9:30, I learned none of the pharmacy's were open on Christmas day. I spoke to someone at the Hillandale pharmacy to see if they could fill my prescriptions. He stated it's for in patient only and thought the CVS across from DeKalb Medical may be open. I haven't been sick on Christmas day to know pharmacy's are not open. However, hospitals/ERs should. This is how you prepare to better serve those coming for care. If you did, while I was still 'in patient' you could have either filled my prescriptions or provided enough meds to carry me through to the next day. There's NO WAY a person with the flu or any other ailment should be allowed to be without meds for more than 24 hours.Yes, I was in and out within 2 hrs and the location is convenient. However, ensuring I, the patient has what's needed to improve my health is more important. You can change the name on the building a million times but quality of care is important every day. Special provisions must be in place on major holidays when pharmacy's are not open.

Professional, polite, Fresh clean atmosphere, hand sanitizers throughout the Hospital and clean mask for protection. Clean bathrooms. Fast friendly caring service and support. Not feeling rushed.The Harvest Tabernacle instrumental to the whole Lithonia community to get all mammogram testing physical etc. Our Apostle Travis and Pastor Stephanie Jennings care about soul body and spirit. So much love and support with His Family and the body of Christ !This year I have been more places in my life with the Harvest Tabernacle witnessing , street Ministry, Stone Mountain Park free Barbecue Picnic in the park for the whole Lithonia Community the Biggest Picnic Every , The Harvest Tabernacle has been giving back to the community for over eighteen years!!! I never had so much fun!!!!! With the body of Christ and friends and family....Which is why Im review Emory Hillandale Hospitality because, I learn in my metron to love my self , my soul , my spirit and soar !!!Thank you Harvest Beautiful scenery, Rivers, Trains, Mountain climbing community, History Sites, Marriott Hotel Tucked nicely away in the mountains 5 stars with all amenities and much more for all ages theme parks etcThe Harvest Tabernacle took over The Hightop Pavilion at Stone Mountain Park this was so much fun!The attendant was graceful the picnic area was super nice. The Harvest barbecue for the entire community so many huge grills going! so much food , fun, games contest and cash prize over hundreds of dollars. Wow what can I say.... and this been going on for over 18 years in ministry.... Applauding to Jesus for love like this!!!!!!The Harvest Tabernacle took over Chevron Gas station giving away over $1000.00 dollars in gas to the community located by The Harvest Tabernacle at 1450 S. Deshon Road , Lithonia, GA...Our Apostle Heart is the Heart of Giving... (& The Harvest Tabernacle)all the time!!! The Owner of Chevon and the community received us with grace and love.... so much fun!!!We then went to the Studio Grill Apostle Travis Jennings and Pastor Stephanie Jennings , (The Harvest Tabernacle)Goes into all the World preaching the Gospel of Christ. By giving whole heartily using every platform i.e. (books, cd, art & entertaining, feeding families, giving to VETS...Building the Lord an House, buying homes for women and children etc).

I literally just had major surgery 3 weeks ago. I came here in extreme pain and thought, I was going to the back and ended up going to what was another waiting room. I've been literally sitting here for over an hour this is ridiculous. I'm crying in agonizing pain and they dont give a damn!

Thank you for the hospitalist in internal medicine & the nurses on the telemetry unit for caring about me. I had the best nurses. Emory Hillandale got me well & out of the hospital right before my birthday. When you're really sick I'd like to believe emory hillandale won't play with your well being.INCOMPETENT AF!!!

This is the WORST hospital you could ever attend. Complete incompetency! No empathy, no coordination, just completely useless! All they care about is money. The sheets were DIRTY the room was filthy! This place is just disgusting and filled with a bunch of inexperienced graduates. DO NOT go here especially if you have an emergency. Its all a guess the diagnosis game. They run tests just to rack up a bill. The Dr said shed administer a pill that was supposed to dissolve under the tongue, but the nurse brought in 2 completely different pills with a cup of water - no explanation of what it was or what it was for and the Dr had no idea what the nurse brought in! I will NEVER go to this dirty place again.

The majority of the staff act like they actually dont care. Honestly, I cant believe Emory (the Hospital that most people in Atlanta consider to be one of the best) is allowing such unorganized ER staff, and also after patients are admitted and need help...you could order a pizza while waiting to get someone to your room to help. Im thankful they are close by, but I regret that I didnt take her to either Northside or St. Josephs Emory.

My son had an appointment for a biopsy and ct scan for 8:30am. We checked in at 7:30am and sent to a room at 7:49am. Around 8:49am a nurse comes in to tell us that the doctor is late because he is seeing another patient because we were late. From the time we made the appointment, the staff has been rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend this place to anybody. If you can....pleases see if there are other options available to you besides this place. Spend your money a place where they care about their business and their patients.

I thought once they changed the name that the service would change too but the stuff is very disrespectful they sit around and laugh and talk about patients, About who is too big to lay on the stretcher they even talked about a patient coming in and drinking water out of the toilet, my nurse Vanessa was in such a hurry to send me home she read my discharge papers on the way out and after I went out the building I realize she left a needle in my arm ( the IV needle) I had to return and another nurse took it out of my arm over the counter at the nurses station which left my arm severely bruised...I am so disappointed

Money hungry. They will double charge you for one visit, mess up your medication and cause you to go back after admitting fault. They admitted fault and still wont allow me to dispute extra charges. If you are in an emergency situation, do yourself a favor and drive the extra mile to the next medical center.

This is the worst hospital I've ever been to. They ran all type of test on me including ct scans an couldnt find out what was wrong with me then charged me an outstanding $15,000 in doctor bills. I will never go here again... This is the type of hospital that if you have a gun shot wound... They will tell you you have a gun shot wound an give ypu a ice pack an send you home. If you have no health insurance do not go here.

First off let me start by saying this, when patients come to a hospital it's to get your staff to take care of them. The staff talks on their cell phone, gossip amongst each other and do not act like they are hospital staff. I was there Friday night the staff that operated between 11pm and 530am the following morning are certainly disgusting they were just gossiping about patients and staff in front of me. I was placed in a room from 2am until 530am I decided to leave the doctor did not come to my room at all. These so call employees needs to be removed asap and you all need to come to grips of how disgusting the hospital has become. Y'all Put Emory on the front to make it sound good. But whomever is in charge need to get it together and quickly.

My very first and last visit will never go to that hospital again I'd rather die I sat in the waiting room 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. vomiting the whole time going in and out from chills & sweating profusely .. the Administration staff is so rude the triage staff worse than the Administration staff never in my life well I go to that hospital again I repeat and I don't recommend it to my worst enemy or my best friend don't go shut them down and I don't recommend it to my worst enemy or my best friend don't go shut them down or have trained in customer service and customer care in the hospital ...sorry Staff very disgusting.... the doctor was cool..New building old equipment very old equipment

This place is disorganized, will fumble up with your records and draining your pockets before they would do any type of testing. You're better off going to a specialty that will offer 24/7 care and will get all of the proper tests and labs done bc this place sure as hell doesn't do it.

I just returned from Hilandale. I was extremely pleased to observe how attentive and professional the staff were. Everyone I interacted with made my visit as pleasant as possible from the intake team, the nurses, the doctor and even discharge. I'm not sure about these other reviewers experiences but, mine was refreshing. Outstanding job Emergency Night crew at Hilandale.

If you have an actual emergency please do not go here nor take your children. I was put on 'fast track' for my daughter for a minute issue. We got there at 730pm we left at 9:45 pm after still waiting in the waiting area to be called back. Some fast track SMH. We got up the next morning and went to Northside hospital which is where i normally go anyway it was just raining and I didn't feel like driving far and I stay in Decatur. We got to Northside at 8:10am and left at 9:04. DeKalb medical which is now Emory has always been slow but this was 'don't be a menace to South Central while drinking your juice in the hood' slow. People who were waiting when we got there were still waiting when we left. Ridiculous. ANY other hospital is faster than this one no matter what time of day. And Northside is always fast no matter what day or time. Sorry Emory it's a no for me dog.
