Dr. Mandel is FANTASTIC! If you are looking for a surgeon to be your best buddy, make small talk, and tell you what you want to hear, go somewhere else. Dr. Mandel was professional, honest, and straight to the point. I knew within the first 10 minutes of my consultation that I trusted him. He didn't try and 'sell' me on anything and he was brutally honest. He told me right away what would work, what wouldn't, and what his recommendations were. It was clear he had a depth of knowledge and experience and was very confident in his abilities. I had extensive work done that was scheduled to take 6 hours, and he got it done in 5. I am only a few weeks out of surgery but the results are already beyond my expectations (and I'm not even completely healed yet).If you happen to be the type that needs a little extra hand holding or needs a more personable connection (which is understandable when you're deciding who is going to alter your body) Dr. Mandel's staff is wonderful! His nurses/nurse practitioners (Michelle, Rosie, & Erin) are so warm and friendly. They make you feel immediately comfortable and there is no such thing as a dumb question. They are sweet, funny, and they make the entire process so much less stressful. I genuinely look forward to my post-op check ups because they are so enjoyable.If you're thinking about having surgery, I strongly recommend you chose Dr. Mandel, you wont regret it!

I had surgery 2 1/2 years ago from another Dr out of state and was very unhappy with the results. I couldn't even look at myself in the mirror without my clothes on. When I decided to do something about it I started checking around and Dr Mandel was very highly recommended to me. He was very thorough and patient with me and explained every step of the process, making sure I knew what to expect. I couldn't be happier with the results from my surgery by Dr Mandel and his wonderful staff. The post operation follow up has been amazing. the staff and Dr Mandel have been great with the post op care, explaining what I should expect as time goes on. I cannot recommend Dr Mandel and his staff highly enough, they are all amazing! I am much more confident and happy with my body now and love to look in the mirror. Thank you Dr Mandel.

My one star is not regarding Dr Mandel, but his entire office staff. I think he needs to be made aware of the circumstances. I arrived on time to the office for my consult. I inquired if they did reminder calls. They said yes and then discovered that my account had a random phone number in it. I say random because it was a serious of numbers in order, like 45678910, etc. I changed the number with them. I didn't have to wait long before I saw Dr Mandel and had a pleasant consult. He told me after the consult to meet a staff member in another room and someone would show me pics for the otoplasty I was interested in. In the next room, I didnt see any pictures, only received the price and then lots of questions about my bed and breakfast and event/wedding venue that we operated in Priest River. No pics. In the room, I was Also told I would Have to wait a week to schedule my surgery and someone would call me. When i left the room, I was confronted by three other staff members asking about my bed and breakfast. It turns out that three of the staff members were part of a large 'yoga' group that rented our venue one weekend. They made sure i was made aware that they were there. This became the focus of my visit. The reason this matters, is we have had 95 bookings to our property in the 6 months we owned it and are super hosts with 5 star ratings. The only exception was their yoga group. The experience was so unprofessional and unpleasant that I was able to have their one star airbnb rating removed and filed a complaint with airbnb to warn future property owners about the group. I was extremely unhappy with the office making this the focus of my visit in their medical/surgical center and I am just as unhappy that it has been two weeks since the consult and I haven't received a phone call for follow up. I am posting this to make Dr Mandel aware so he can work with the office staff on professionalism for all of their clients. I am also a medical professional with Kootenai and have served patients for 30 years this month. I am speaking both from a patient and medical profession standpoint.

Dr. Mandel is a true artist. The brachioplasty (Arm lift) he did on me came out beautifully. He is very kind and caring. The same can be said about his staff. I couldn't recommend him more! I actually flew in from NY to have my surgery done by him. That's how wonderful he is!!!

Dr. Mandel is professional, caring and compassionate. He always listened and was never condescending. His staff is amazing. Rosie is just the best nurse. She makes you feel very comfortable. Dr. Mandel explained all the options, clarified things and answered all of our questions. We have already recommended him. Couldn't feel better about a plastic surgeon who knows how to be compassionate and not stuck on his own ideas. Very pleased with outcome.

I am very happy with my results; Dr. Mandel was very helpful in recommending what was good for my body type and I was very surprised after surgery how small my scars were, which you can barely see them now. The hospital staff was absolutely amazing before and after my surgery, I realized you do not need to go to a 'big' city for your plastic surgery needs.

I highly recommend Dr Mandel for a breast reduction! I ended up with breast cancer this year and since it was caught early in stage one, I decided it would be a good time for reduction. He came highly recommended to me by every doctor and nurse on my journey with cancer. He is so personable and easy to talk to. He cares about what he does and wanted to keep me safe. I had asked him to take as much tissue as possible due to cancer and also told him I didn't care if they were too small and not proportioned with the rest of my body. He said he would take as much as he could yet still keep me safe. And that's exactly what he did! I am so happy with how small they are! He also did beautiful work. He is also a great listener and welcomes and takes the time for questions. And he has been there for aftercare and with any questions I have had afterwards. Also, his nurse has been very attentive and always calls me back if there are questions. All of his staff are very nice and attentive. His office is beautiful! Another thing I have been impressed with is they always take into consideration how far away I live when scheduling appointments, etc. I would say that Dr Mandel and his staff are the best group I have been to in the seven years I have lived in Northern Idaho.

When I became a patient of his, I was not surprised to find that Dr. Mandel and his office staff are just as professional and comfortable to work with as his surgical team is. i am thankful every day for them and what they do. My physical and mental health has improved immensely after having trusted my surgery to him. My results have far exceeded my expectations.

I called at least 50 doctors offices across the West Coast. This practice has such compassion and highly knowledgeable. I was above and beyond stressed from Breast Implant Illnesses and the possibility of having lymphoma fluid surrounding my implants. Needless to say this is a very important surgery needed and must be done ASAP. Ive had over a dozen health issues pop up after breast implants put in by a Seattle Yale graduated surgeon. I had my implants put in at 31 and healthy, and now at 34 Ive had symptoms of endometriosis, sudden brain fog before HR increases, fatigue, anxiety, shaking tremors while breast swell and extremely scary cardiac issues, breast pain and tightening, hair loss, and psoriasis to the extreme on upper body mainly around breasts and then to my head recently, with weakness. Aging was terrible and spent tons on Botox and Fillers. They were prompt to getting me in and helping me! I cant wait to update results.

I had a motorcycle accident, driver pulled put in front of me and needless to say I had no where to go. Ended up smacking the side of the truck and need to go to the hospital. After a few days there I got to meet Dr. Mandel, came in my room and told me what he needed to do for repairs. He was so easy to talk to, explained everything in detail from my jaw being wired, how the procedure would go, expectations, habits etc...and did such a fantastic job. 6 plates later and a few phones calls after surgery hes still been very helpful and shows that he cares about his patients. My face doesnt look chopped up after the surgery. If I ever needed to do another surgery for whatever reason, I would definitely choose him and will recommend him to anyone who wants a doctor that does a great job and cares.

I cant express my gratitude enough for Dr. Mandel and his attentive, caring staff. He performed my explantation on December 31, 18. My experience from start to finish was better than I could have possibly expected. This is a highly skilled surgeon, with an attention to detail that I appreciated greatly. He was committed to a comprehensive explantation, including a complete capsulectomy and followed through on his commitment perfectly. Scars are a big deal to me and I cant even explain how clean and camouflaged my incisions are. In conclusion, please set yourself at ease if youve chosen this practice for any of your plastic surgery needs. You are in excellent hands. Dr. Mandel and every person on his staff were absolutely amazing! I had a breast reduction done by him and the whole process has been very smooth. I am very happy with how the day of surgery was so easy, the healing really sucks because it is so lengthy but my incisions have been healing nicely. 5 stars is simply not enough. INFINITY stars should about do it. After suffering for many years, I was finally able to get breast reduction surgery. Dr. Mandel came highly recommended without hesitation, by our family doctor. Every where I went, when asked who my surgeon was, the response was always emphatically positive. It was clear that he was genuinely liked and respected in the medical community. Dr. Mandel is kind, compassionate, cheerful and very professional. He's also a very gifted surgeon! I always felt at ease and trusted him immediately. You want to know just how good someone is? Take a look at their staff. I have never met a better bunch of people. Fun, sweet, and also superbly professional. From beginning to end, they care about you and always make you feel important. Dr. Mandel gave me back my life by performing this surgery for me. Dr. Mandel does beautiful work. He and his staff are a delight to work with. I've come from Missoula, where I live, to see him twice. Once for an excisional biopsy and once for removal of a BCC, both on my face. The biopsy was a couple of years ago; you cannot see where it was done at all. The BCC was just a few days ago. Cannot recommend him highly enough.

I was nervous during my consultation with Dr. Mandel, but he eased my worries and answered all of my questions (even the ones I asked multiple times - nervous forgetfulness). Dr. Mandel made sure that I was aware of all potential risks and that I understood everything that he was explaining to me. During my pre-op visit, Dr. Mandel again discussed the potential risks. He was very thorough. My surgery went great and I am now healing. I am beyond happy with my results, and they aren't even the final outcome yet. Everyone in his office is so nice and friendly. I have had a wonderful experience, every step of the way. Dr. Mandel gave me the ability to love myself, and for that I will be forever grateful.
