I actually left with more questions than I had before I saw Dr. Erickson. He was actually quite rude. He was not the original Dr. I was looking to see but when I scheduled my appointment I was told the Dr. I wanted to see was booked until January. Since Dr. Erickson was available in less then 2 weeks and just as familiar with my condition I booked the appointment. Theres a reason why he was available so quickly! He was condescending and Id go so far as to say rude. I was still asking questions as we were leaving the room because he rushed me out so quickly. I literally stood in front of him in an effort to ask the few major questions I had to be left with a very short aggravated response which did not answer my question at all. No goodbye, thank you, nothing (not a big deal but would have been appreciated) just ignored as he walked away. I wasnt even mad or frustrated but actually very disappointed. I really do hope that you have a much better experience if you see Dr. Erickson. He forgets that patients are paying to see you...not the other way around.

Dr. Erickson work with my neurosurgeon Dr. Kranzler during my spinal surgery. Not saying my surgery was not successful but a year later, I'm having complications and Dr. Kranzler no longer accepts my insurance. Rather than start all over with someone not familiar with my case, I decided to drive 70 miles one way to see him. I sat in the examining room for 45 minutes, no one came to say, he running behind or anything. When he finally came in, it was all of 2 minutes. He did not listen to any of my concerns and ordered an MRI. I had one a few months before, got home and took the disc to the post office mailed it to the office and they can't find it but tells me I have to make an appointment to come see him and go over it. Go over what? You can't find it! Never again will I waste that time or money again!

I was first recommended to Dr. Erickson by my primary care physicians years ago when he was on staff at the University of Chicago. My visit was thorough and direct, which I appreciated. Years later, due to being injured at work, I required his services. I learned that he no longer practiced at the University, but several people, i.e. Doctors, physician assistant, medical assistant were familiar with him and gave me information regarding his new location. I tracked him down and he accepted me as a patient. I've had two surgeries performed by him and all is great. Follow up appointments proved to be a little trying ( wait time is like driving in bumper to bumper traffic for much longer then you'd like) but I couldn't have ask for a better surgeon. I would most definitely recommend, and have been very satisfied with the result of my surgeries, my pain is gone and you can barely see any scaring.

My experience as far as pain control, is for the birds,so far my surgury is ok no infections yet ,its been 14 days now ,2nd back surgury.first one was with Dr. Citow that was a nightmare.now dr. Erickson refuses to control my pain, has not written 1 perscription yet ,the office staff are not honest , I would not recommend that anyone have surgury from this office
