I don't think I've ever been so impressed by a Physician and their Staff in my life! Dr. Ellen is WONDERFUL and so is everyone else in the office! I had her fix some scars from a previous surgery and she did a fantastic job. Every visit to their beautifully decorated office has been great and I never waited more than just a few minutes to be taken back. Dr. Ellen is a great listener and a most capable Surgeon! I own a financial services company with hundreds of clients and two locations. I would recommend Dr. Ellen and her Staff to anyone I know. I am also the longest standing Board Member of the Eastern Michigan Better Business Bureau and I would rate Dr. Ellen and her WHOLE Staff an A+!

Dr. Ellen completed a scar revision from another Dr.'s botched lumpectomy. She did a wonderful job. She took time in explaining the various types of reconstruction surgeries available. She covered the pros and cons of each. I decided to have a lipo fat transfer reconstruction surgery. The results were fabulous! There was no pain involved. I returned to work 2 days later. The recovery was amazing. It has been 5-6 years now and there is no difference from my left side to my right! I could not have hoped for better results. And results that have lasted. I would refer her to anyone wanting the best!! Thank you for everything and the confidence that was restored. You and your staff have been nothing short of excellent and the care you provide is excellent!!!

I went to Dr. Ellen largely based on some of the positive reviews on this site, I am left believing they must be paid reviews given the quality of care the doctor, and this office provide. The BEST service you will have is when you go in for a consultation, they will pamper you, smile, tell you jokes and make you feel like the world revolves around you. However, once you have made your downpayment and signed up for surgery or a procedure, everything changes. Dr cancels at the last minute, no shows to an appointment, when she does show is complaining about her wrist that she just had surgery on (warning sign!) . In the end, my procedure took a month longer then estimated, I was billed for several items that were never cleared with me in advance, and worse yet I was very unhappy with the results forcing me to find another surgeon to take care of me (who did it cheaper, quicker, and with far better overall service).There are a LOT of options in Metro Detroit, do your research people, Dr. Ellen is on her way out.

I have no idea why De. Ellen works on peoples faces. She probably just sticks with breast implants so dont let her touch your face she gave severe burns to a ladys face and she had to get skin graphs on her forehead and jaw line. Shes a disgrace to the plastic surgery community be careful and do your research. From seeing reviews on vital seems not much has changed.. office keeps you waiting in the waiting room and her staff is still unprofessional like before. Hed bedside manners are up and down whenever shes in the mood to be friendly she is and some she is not. Why do people like this doctor go in this profession when their heart is not 100% into their art. This office is not like some other plastic surgeons I know of and a lot of my friends that have went to. I wish my mom wouldve received that care especially at the Straith clinic. I couldnt believe my best friend was getting liposuction there on her neck and the care she received was like if she had a bypass surgery seriously... such professionalism and care and thoughtfulness. Dr. Ellen doesnt know the meaning of care and professionalism at least from years ago. And no accountability for ruining a persons life.

Office staff is very kind and considerate and were available post op whenever I had a question. I would highly recommend her if you are thinking of having surgery.

My boyfriend's Aunt went here for breast reduction and said that things went really well for her so after meeting them and going over all the process I decided to go here for my breast reduction. After the surgery I felt like I was uncared-for everytime I voiced my concerns I was told to put over the counter ointment on it gauze and take pain meds and as long as I wasn't in a fever state that I should be fine. My stitches did not heal properly and had prolonged scabbing which they picked at and then the stitches came out with it was pretty painful and I was not warned about this at all prior so I wasn't on any medication for it. my lymph nodes in my armpit head swollen and my tissue turned gray it was not a bruise and the lymph nodes were the size of circus peanuts and the skin started peeling I was told that as long as I didn't have a fever to keep it dry and that it should go away. Didn't help with the pain or the fact that I had an open wound I also tried using the Embrace scar bandages that are extremely expensive for bandages and I'm not sure if I was allergic to the adhesive or what but it started to take off more skin and it split my scars back open and now I'm basically back to where I was post surgery they told me the same thing as they filled me with all my other issues just to put ointment on it cause and if it gets to a fever State let them know and take over the counter pain meds today I went to my dermatologist and I had him also take a second look at it he gave me a prescribed antibiotic ointment specific bandaging and referred me to a wound specialist saying that it for sure was going to scar a lot worse than it originally was.

After meeting with 3 other plastic surgeons in 2016, Dr Ellen was my 4th and my final. She is absolutely amazing. She did 2 procedures on me in May 16 and I couldn't be happier. She's a perfectionist and listens to you and your concerns. She doesn't rush you off and will take as much time as you need Needless to say I'm getting ready to schedule another big procedure with her. Her staff is wonderful and amazing as well. Would recommend Dr Ellen 1000 times over and over.

I contacted Dr. Janetzke's office because I'm experiencing persistent swelling from a previous lower body lift and was hoping to get a second opinion from a surgeon who performs a lot of body contouring procedures. I offered to pay for the consultation knowing it will most likely not to lead to additional surgery. However, her office manager, Megan, decided in advance that Dr. Janetzke was not suitable for such a consultation without having any medical expertise herself. She then tried to refer me to a general surgeon which is absurd considering most plastic surgeons, including Dr. Janetzke, have already completed general surgery residencies prior to finally going onto fellowships in plastic surgery. Furthermore, a general surgeon does NOT perform lower body lifts and would have little to no experience dealing with the complications associated with them. I think denying a patient the ability to seek medical advice because said patient most likely won't have expensive surgery is a disgusting and immoral business practice. I can't speak directly about Dr. Janetzke, but she is employing unprofessional staff in her office.

Before deciding on the best surgeon in the area, I did some research on the internet and I went to some appointments of pre- consultation with some surgeons. That said, my experience with Dr. Ellen was the best, I am satisfied with the results and I am still recovering (which has been fairly fast), but can comment that she and the staff are very professional. Things to note about my experience are 1) they give you enough information to make your decisions, 2) they respect your time in consultations 3) they give confidence to ask questions, 4) they are realistic about the expectations you should consider 5) It is a fair price for the service received and 6) they are in constant communication throughout the process. Dr. Ellen is an absolute disgrace to the area of plastic surgery. She was very unexperienced in a procedure and did not take any responsibility or remorse on a disastrous outcome of a laser face procedure. . She left this woman whom put her care in her hands and ended up scarred and severely burned after the procedure for life this woman had to have skin graphs on the areas that Ellen went to deep with the laser so deep it took nearly 75 doctors visits for people to help with the treatment of her burnt skin it was agonizing almost like a person going through cancer and chemotherapy treatments. A wonderful plastic surgeon took the patient under her wing and did the skin graphs to repair the damage she had left and the skin was taken from the abdominal area. This woman was burned for years and has never recovered in nearly 8 years. She continues to have rosacea, and has not been able to be out in the sun or harsh cold elements. Any harsh elements of the weather will flake her skin or to where it is so painful and she has to be homebound and not been able to walk out in the sun or even go to a park or hang out with her grandkids. her skin got so compromised by the laser by Dr. Ellen she ia a disgrace to her profession and should not be practicing as far as Im concerned. Her bedside manners in her prior office in Birmingham were disgusting and not professional at all. I would not recommend her to anyone not even people in a Third World Country she scarred my family member for life...shame on you and believe me Ive told everyone that we have been countered at every doctors office and dermatologist office. Every single dermatologist and burn doctor at U of M Ann Arbor couldnt believe their eyes and were so embarrassed of how somebody in their arena could leave a woman like this burning and suffering with no regard but what could they do?? They tried everything they even did a conference session at 8 oclock in The morning with 20+ dermatologist interns to figure out why her skin was not healing and that she had some kind of skin cancer?. It affected the entire family and caused so much pain to the ones caring for the patient you recklessly burnt. She had to have round-the-clock nursing care after her skin grafh procedure and Dr. Ellen never once cared to see how that individuals aftermath was. Because it would show fault on her behalf and she was afraid to get sued shame on you...and to not even perform a test try on your patients skin before a full face laser procedure especially on a mature woman to see how their skin would react is just inconceivable. I have seen my girlfriends that have gone to plastic surgeons in the West Bloomfield and Birmingham area one being the Straith Clinic...what an impeccable operation and bedside manners the doctors and nurses they have. Compared to your practice it doesnt even compare hopefully throughout the years you have realized your faults and obviously are continuing to do plastic surgery but that doesnt mean youve gotten better it just means youve gotten lucky. People looking to see this doctor THINK not once but NOT twice but not at all... maybe some of her patients that have gone to her have been happy and have had a success rate but like I said its been luck. I would go to somebody that has been in practice for many decades and carries a notable reputation. And believe me it does not matter if they are board-certified...we know from experience. I am in West Bloomfield native and I wish what I know now I would of known then..be careful when searching for a plastic surgeon cannot stress this enough...get testimonials and know people that have had the same procedure you were about to do. Additionally see that the doctor has had A LOT of experience and have done your procedure more than 100 times. Unfortunately, we found out that she barely had experience in this face laser procedure and that is so unethical in my eyes to make people suffer and not hold any accountability or care. Shame shame on her be aware and be cautious
