After having an excellent experience with breast augmentation in 2004 with Dr. Gervais I decided that I wanted to return this past summer of 2019 for a revisional augmentation for an upgrade from my saline implants to Natrelle silicone implants. It was so great to return back for a consult with Dr. Gervais and remember him asking me specifically what would make you happy and us discussing what would be best for me. Also, to know that after all this time the same surgical nurse (Kathy) and anesthesiologist (Darren) would be attending for my upcoming surgery was comforting for me! I then met with his patient care coordinator, Debra, who was very detail oriented and did an excellent and thorough job explaining all the detailed information I needed the day of the consult and she called me again later to explain exactly what needed to be done closer to the surgery day and she was very patient and helpful with all my questions. They have such a great staff and surgical team and they make the atmosphere so comfortable going into surgery and also with post-op care for any discomfort I had with post-op pain before safely escorting me down to our vehicle. The nurse called me at home later that evening to check on me and make sure I was doing ok. :). Needless to say, I am very happy and love the results!

An absolutely horrible experience. I am a petite woman, just a little over 110 lbs, 53. Went in for a consultation and told Dr. Gervais I was looking for a natural looking breast augmentation. The original apt was very fast. It didnt really seem like he had a whole lot of time. I mistook it for efficiency and booked an apt with him. The sizing was not a fun experience with his staff. I felt rushed and not given much information. I hadnt realized the size I had chosen would look extremely out of proportion with my measurements bc the staff did absolutely nothing to educate me. Upon surgery day when I was being prepped, Dr Gervais came into the room. He didnt say one word to me nor did he make eye contact with me . I felt very nervous and concerned at this point . Both with the size choice and obvious lack of concern/concerning bedside manner of Dr. Gervais. Once surgery was over I never got a check back from him . He also never came out to tell my friend how the surgery had gone. During recover I noticed severe bleeding /blood clotting under my breast. It appeared that there had been a lot of force /trauma to the area during surgery. My implants were absolutely enormous. Freakishly large. Almost like a circus performer . I went from my natural large A size to a DD. I also had a mysterious pea size lump a few inches down from my left breast that had never been there before. When I brought this up to Dr. Gervais during my post op apt he replied in a condescending tone I wasnt even down there, hon. When I expressed my concern about the extreme size he got very defensive and at one point actively ignored me and pretended to write something on a piece of paper on a clip board. Everybody has their own mind but I wanted to put this out there for anybody considering this surgeon. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere FAST. I ended up going to another surgeon for a revision operation and spent an additional full augmentation fee.

3 years ago I went in for breast augmentation surgery so I could look similar to how I did prior to breastfeeding my 2 children. I told the staff that I wanted to be around a C cup as I have an active lifestyle and did not want them to get in the way or standout. My husband went into one of the fittings and made a comment that the size they intended looked too big, they said they were going down a size but it was hard to tell when the fittings are done in a sports bra. After the surgery I was told they'd be swollen and it would take some time before the swelling went down to be true size. Today I measure at a 32DDD, when all I wanted to be was around a 32C. Even their paperwork states I went from an A-B (pre-op) cup size to a C (post-op) cup size but I can't even fit into a 32DD comfortably. At every followup appointment I go to I mention how much larger they are than I wanted, they sound surprised each time I bring it up or make a comment about how Victoria's Secret sizes are too small. This last time I went in was for my 3 year follow up visit, we discussed it again and I got a quote for changing the size to what I originally requested. Dr. Gervais said they 'look like a D cup'. The quote I was given was only dollars off from what the original procedure cost us... I do plan on getting my implants replaced, but by another plastic surgeon. I'm giving 2 stars because they look good for the size, but just not the size I requested.

I had tummy tuck surgery with liposuction contouring back in December and love my results. I met 2 other surgeons before choosing Dr. Gervais. He was honest about how much skin and fat would be removed after 3 children, along with how long the surgery would take. He explained the procedure well and had great before and after pictures. The incision line was so straight that when it healed a couple of months later it was barely noticeable. He also prescribed a really good scar gel. I googled it later on to read reviews and it was very effective. Immediately after the surgery I returned to the office multiple times for follow up, drain removal and pain. His team was extremely understanding and I liked that after a couple visits they knew me by name. I always came in with a list of questions and felt like I called in a lot, but when you have surgery for the first time, it's expected to form a relationship with the physician and his team. In doing my research he's not the highest priced but not cheap. Honestly when it comes to someone cutting you open, you get what you pay for. I'm Rating them a 5 because I got the results I wanted, got great customer service and think Dr Gervais is worth every penny I spent.

When I saw Dr. Gervais he impressed me as very knowledgeable and honest about what to expect. He took the time to explain the procedure and the end results. About a year ago I decided that I needed to get some work done on my face to refresh my tired look. I consulted with Dr. Gervais. He was patient, listened to my concerns and made a recommendation that was different than what I had originally intended (the recommendation was in line with what Ive researched online. The reason given for the alternative procedure was reasonable given my history). Ultimately I went with Dr. Gervais because in the final analysis I trusted him. Let me explain. As a teen I impulsively got Madonna Like-A-Virgin thick black eyeliner tattooed to my lower lids. What looked ultra cool in my 20s, later turned to ultra tired in my 30s. New improved laser tattoo removal technology was coming to the market and I found it at Minneapolis Plastic Surgery with Dr. Gervais. When I consulted with him I only asked for two things No scarring, and keeping my eyelashes. It took several tries but ultimately he delivered. I was ELATED with the result. In my mid-40s I again consulted with Dr. Gervais regarding concerns with my tired look. He told me When your eyes begin to develop tissue-paper-look like mine then you can come back and I can work on you. He proceeded to walk me over to Caroline Clinic next door, that provides multitudes of skin and body care procedures, to address my concerns. It was with these experiences that I chose Dr. Gervais. Its been 7 months post-op and many aftercare meetings later I am very happy with the end result. My eye area looks brightened and refreshed without being over done. More importantly, I look appropriate for my age. Choosing a plastic surgeon is a very difficult decision. I went with Dr. Gervais not only because of his education, credentials, certifications, and reasons stated above, but also because of his long standing in the community and his years of experience. Plastic surgery to me is not an exact science. Its not like carving into a piece of wood. Surgeons are dealing with skin, muscles and healing, with potential myriads of outcome. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience working with Dr. Gervais and his team at Minneapolis Plastic Surgery. Having lost 130lbs with weight loss surgery I had a lot of excess skin to deal with. I knew that my transformation would not be complete without having the skin removed. When I met with Dr. Gervais for my consultation I knew immediately that this was where I was supposed to be. This is what they do. Not only skin removal but contouring of the body which is extremely important when it comes to massive weight loss.I decided on multiple procedures and was worried about timing. Dr Gervais did my augmentation and donut mastoplexy (breast lift) in November of 2017. I could NOT be happier with the results!! My recovery went so smoothly! I got a call from his nurse the night of my surgery, just to check in, to see how I was doing. She was so sweet, and asked all the right questions. She asked if my husband was taking good care of me. My pain level never really reached the epic proportions that people warned me about, either! My scars healed so well, thanks to the gel that Dr Gervais and his staff supplied me with. HORROR STORY! I had a breast augmentation 6 months ago, and I cant even look at them they are so HORRIBLE! Im in tears writing thisDay of surgery: The first thing I hear walking into the office that day from the nurse at the front desk was, Im just filling in and not familiar with things here, so Ill let the front office lady know you are here. We got there an hour early, but after waiting for almost 2 hours I asked the front desk person how much longer it was going to be, because I was starting to get a little anxious and no one had said ONE WORD to me. Oh, they are just running behind on the first surgery it shouldnt be too much longer. As I am sitting there I am seriously thinking about leaving my surgery was supposed to be 1.5 hours ago at this point and I just didnt have a good feeling about it, but I already paid, took the time off work, and have wanted to do this for YEARS so I figured now is my chance.Finally, after 2.5 hours of waiting they call me back to try on again, as I wanted to make sure I had picked the correct size prior to surgery. It seems that the number 1 complaint is that women wish they had gone bigger. I was trying to hide this surgery from people and not go too big, but after much thought I decided to pick the size that made me happy. I felt very RUSHED through this but felt confident in the size I had selected.I was then put into a pre-op room where I sat for a long time until Dr. Gervais came in. He didnt make eye contact at all RUSHED in, said I couldnt have the side I wanted, scribbled some marks on me, and rushed out. He was maybe in the room for a total of 5 mins? I was fine with the fact that the size I had picked he said were too big for what little breast tissue I had, but it was very apparent he was in a hurry to get out of there. The closer and closer I got to the operating table the worse and worse my feelings about it got.Anesthesiologist was AMAZING! He was the only person all day that didnt make me feel like I was being rushed, and he thought of me as a person not just an afternoon surgery. HE IS THE ONLY REASON I DIDNT WALK OUT RIGHT THEN AND THERE. My surgery ran over and at NO POINT did ANYONE update my husband as to what was going on. He seriously was sitting there thinking if he didnt see an ambulance pull up everything must be ok.Post-op: Dr. Gervais never spoke to my husband to tell him how surgery went. The anesthesiologist of course did speak with my husband. The next thing I remember after surgery was waking up in my car. My husband says they had me laying down in the chair to allow me time to wake up. Everyone had left except for the nurse just filling in, and the front desk person. Right outside my room the nurse and front desk person were discussing what to do about locking up because everyone was gone, and the nurse filling in didnt know what to do? My husband said they tried to sit me up right away, but I was throwing up because I hadnt fully come out of the anesthesia yet. That of course didnt stop them from rolling me right out of the building. So, I was rolled out of the building with a puke bag totally out of it, because it was 5pm and they all had to leave by 5 apparently.After 6-8 weeks at my follow up I expressed to Dr. Gervais that my breasts were uneven, that my tiny scar was not in the infra-mammary fold but it was in fact on my breast and very visible, and there was a huge line down both of my breast. His reply was basically that nothing is perfect, and thats just how it goes. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Now I have uneven breast causing my nipples to be uneven, huge scars that are extremely apparent, diagonal dents in both of my breast due to the implant being under my muscle (which is apparently what happens, even though I looked at 100 pictures online and didnt see a single one), and towards the mid-line of my breast the implant is squishing up creating a rippling effect. TERRIBLE!!! DO NOT GO HERE!
