Update: I received a little bit of botox from Dr. Gallegos and I love it so much. This is the most honest doctor I've ever met and I've met a lot of doctors. I trust Dr. Gallegos he is honest and professional. Since my early thirties I developed bags under my eyes I was so sad about them. I called and Anna who worked there at the time sat down with me and showed me pictures of Dr. Gallegos work and answered all my questions. I got the procedure done where he simply took out a little fat and now they are gone. It's been a little more than 4 years and I'm still extremely happy.

I have been going to Hermosa Plastic surgery for years. I routinely get Botox/Dysport as well as Juvederm filler. I feel I spend quite a bit of money at this place. I have also referred three people who have gotten some sort of filler. Recently, they were having a special on January 31st where it was about $100 off. I planned to pay for the procedure on the 31st to secure the discount and the procedure was scheduled for two days later. Well I lost my debit card and had to order another one. I also had it rushed so I could get it by the 31st to pay. Well it didnt come in the mail so I called Hermosa to ask if I could pay the following day as the bank said I would for sure have my card. Keep in mind this is still paying early Im not asking for a procedure and to pay after I would still be paying before the procedure. Well without a second thought, the nurse said Nope, you have to pay today so I will go ahead and cancel your appointment. Being a loyal customer I thought they could bend a little especially for $100 when I usually spend way more than that. So I would not recommend this place. Ive read a lot of bad reviews on Google and other sites and I dont like going to a place where they are only concerned about the dollar. Beware of going here They are cheap and more than likely take shortcuts to make even more money. I recommend a great place called NuAura. Ive also let the three people I referred to them know what happened and they will no longer be going to Hermosa. Hope that $100 was worth it to you guys!

I had Neograft hair transplantation to restore my hairline. Dr. Gallegos and his staff were very professional and caring when I had my surgery performed. They tried extra hard to make sure I felt comfortable and relaxed. If you are looking to have a procedure done, Dr. Gallegos and his staff will take care of you, they even fed me lunch! I traveled from El Paso, TX to Albuquerque (4 hours) and I will do it again to have a 2nd transplant to complete my hair restoration. Thank you Dr. Gallegos, Joe, Dan, Ana, and Stacey for your wonderful service and attention!

Dr. Gallegos presents himself as a confident professional. He is friendly enough, although he IS relatively quiet and of few words. He's experienced and my results are very good so far, however, since my surgeries were so recent I still have a way to go before the final result. Another reviewer mentioned that he has a different answer each time you ask a certain question and yes, I have noticed that this is the case. After having visited several other PS's, I quickly noticed that he is rushed and to the point...no niceties. Without the words spoken, you can almost hear 'get it or don't I have another patient waiting' . I am ok with this and I'm not...if that makes sense. I understand that we're not there to create a lifelong friendship, but at the same time, you are considering this man to literally put you under anesthesia and cut into your body! The demeanor is completely different in the surgical area. The nurses are more attentive and very friendly but Dr. Gallegos is still very quiet and to the point...I guess he's more of a 'hands-on' type person! The more serious issue I have with him and his office is: yes, it is a busy office, I understand that. Yet the nurses are rushed and very stand-offish. They take you in, they are quick and to the point, discussing instructions etc. like reading a script. There is a lack of that 'personal' feeling...they make you feel like just another number. You are literally left asking questions as they are ushering you out the door. And if you have additional questions once you're out of that exam room, too bad, you will literally be left standing there waiting to ask and no one will EVER ask if you need additional help or have a question. When they are done with you, they are done with you...move on out..next! Also, there is no confidentiality at the front counter as the window openings are small, the music in the waiting area is too loud, phones are ringing so you have to speak loud and there is a lady there that literally hollars what you're there for. I know we are all there for a cosmetic reason, yet strangers don't need to know exactly what for!! The sign in procedure sucks as well. You walk in and are expected to sign in on a clip board and have a seat. Nobody ever really checks the clipboard, but if you go directly from clip board to window, you are told 'have a seat'. Nobody really asks 'how can I help you?' and even if they 'know' you, which after a few procedures, they should and should know what you're there for, you're left sitting, waiting until it's obvious you've been around a little too long (passed your appointed time) where then a lady will literally hollar through the window 'have you been helped? what is your name and what are you here for?' Awkward!Which leads me to my only other negative complaint about Dr. Gallegos. I'm aware that he has many patients, however, after having a surgery only days earlier, I called the office with a question, he answered the phone and after identifying myself, he didn't know who I was and I had to remind him what procedure I had done. This has happened on several occasions when he answers the phone. Again, making you feel like just another number! (It shouldn't be too difficult to fake it that he knows you, place you on hold if necessary, punch in your name on a computer or pull a file and identify you in order to talk....make your patient feel like an important individual.)With just a few tweaks of the sign-in process, the patient confidentiality, the medical assistant demeanor and Dr. Gallegos' lack of social skills and memory of his patients...this place would rate 'Excellent'...oh and turn down the music in the waiting room! It's difficult to fill out the stack of important medical paperwork with all the noise in the room.
