I had an emergency tooth extraction in this office and it was a #CivilwarExperience! No compassion, no listening. The assistant was poorly prepared; didnt read the extensive paperwork, made me go over it in the painful state I was in.I requested to be knocked out because the pain was off the charts. Was told no, its not necessary by Dr. Bast.His protocol left me with his assistant holding me down. I felt the whole thing; had too much nitrous oxide and was upset for 2 hours.There was no follow up call!!!If you hate someone recommend this monster!

Dr. Bast is a true professional. I am so happy I found his practice! His staff is friendly and go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and at ease. I have had several procedures so far with Dr. Bast and have several more to go. It feels good to know that I'm in good hands. The office is immaculate and he has state of the art equipment. He has a 3-D x-ray machine which looks like something from science-fiction.

In terms of his actual work, Dr. Bast is very good. I had all four wisdom teeth pulled with no problems at all. However, it's his professionalism and demeanor that is a big issue. After calling him wa few days later with some minor concerns about the recovery(nothing bad) he just became enraged and screaming over the phone saying that we talked about all of it after the procedure. I've never seen a doctor act like that. Upon having the stiches removed in a awkward second meeting I told him that I was really taken back by his attitude and how i was treated on the phone. His response? 'I'm sorry you feel that way'. I do not recommend this doctor for people who need anywork done. It was just a overall bizarre nightmarish experience.

Dr. Bast is the best oral surgeon I needed a tooth pulled i was in so much pain and he took me right away and pulled it with no pain at all. When he told me the tooth was out i was shocked because it was so quick and painless. I was also pregnant in my second trimester and dr. Bast made me feel comfortable and followed all my obstetricians rules reguarding the procedure to make me feel safe and comfortable. Hes the best and his staff is so kind as well. I high recommend him.

Dr. Blast runs a horrid office. On two separate occassions we went into his office for a scheduled appointment and sat and waited for hours for so called emergency patients. It is incredible to think that an office cannot keep a schedule and would actually encouraged people to stay and wait for absolutely no service.

I made appt 3x for my mom, they canceled each appt every week & they chose the dates & times. She needs a couple teeth pulled before she can proceed with another specialist, (told them this). So far Im set back a month of canceled appts & she wants her teeth (at least upper) finished before her grand daughters wedding. Besides taking off work for appts they have canceled so many times it is beyond ridiculous!

On Monday June 20th I was experiencing severe tooth pain cause by an infected dead tooth. I called countless oral surgeons, experiencing either a lack of sympathy or the standard 'you need a consultation before anything can go forward.' I called Dr. Bast clinic on the verge of tears and was met with an incredibly helpful and sympathetic staff. The doctor saw me right away and removed the tooth right away. I called them around 11:30am and the tooth was gone by 1:30pm. Dr. Bast was very helpful, reassuring and I experienced NO pain during the procedure. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking dental help in LI.
