My mother had a surgical procedure done in 1999 and is STILL SUFFERING from it to date. This so called doctor must have been after the insurance money because he could CLEARLY CARE LESS about the health of the patient. She also suffers depression do to the effects of this surgical slaughter he committed on her lower private area. As a woman she feels less than. And is in constant pain. The area he operated on still drains fluid and prevents her from engaging in many of life activities. You really should be out of practice and paying for the patients who have suffered by your negligence.

He is a horrible doctor and waste of money I had liposuction in 2016 and he couldnt even tell me how much fat he took out didnt provide the correct garments for shaping me and support waste of money and time now my skin is to loose and to fix drs are recommending a tummy tuck and I dont even have huge stomach I would not recommend goin to him and my friend had the same experience we both wasted money!! I made an appointment around November 18th of 2019 to have Botox. I had seen a groupon and called the office to verify the price. I had Botox before which helped with migraines. I made the appointment and arrived on time. The Doctor met me at the front desk with small talk. He was polite and pleasant. He walked me back to the room and we talked about my job, the holidays and why I was there. I explained that I had Botox before, and that I wanted 18 units and that it had helped and that the cost according to groupon and his front desk was 10 dollars per unit. He said oh no that was not correct and that he thought I was mistaken. I was ready to leave but decided to stay. He left and came back and said that since I was a veteran he would agree to 200 dollars for the 18 units. He gave me ice for the area and again left the room and came back about 10 min later. I did not see him draw up the medication but he had a syringe and proceeded to explain the procedure and he began. It was fairly painless and was over very quickly. By the time I paid the bill and got into my car about 15 min my forehead and area between my eyes was completely numb. There should have been no numbness as local anesthetic is not used because the needle is so small. My forehead and nose area was numb for about 3.5 hours. I did not notice any difference in the wrinkles or headaches but knew it take a few days for the Botox to go into effect. There was never a change and to this day there had been no change. I have called the office three times asking for information and to speak with Dr. Truesdale. I have gotten no response. I am convinced that he did not give me Botox, that it was Marcaine or Lidocaine. He charged me 200 dollars for this and because of his refusal to speak with me I believe he knows that I am aware of what he did. I would do major research on this doctor before making an appointment.

I have been a loyal patient of Dr. Truesdale for over 25 years and confidently recommend him without hesitation. You can even message me if you are new to his practice and are feeling a little nervous!! Dr. T will immediately make you feel welcome with his genuine kindness and excellent bedside manner. He's great at giving you different options too. I'm a RealSelf junkie and sometimes think from my vast studying on there that I know the best. He's good at steering me to better methods.. And often ideas that actually save me money! In one case, where I was absolutely adamant of a procedure I wanted, but he didn't do... He went AND GOT CERTIFIED for it!! Can you believe??? Probably the biggest reason I've stayed with him is the fact that when the surgery is over, he sticks around, checks on me, has several follow-ups, and still cares.. He calls me on weekends , he gives me his cell..You name it, I could not ask for a better doctor or surgeon. Oh and the staff is all super sweet and not catty lol! P.S.-- have had SIX kids and my tummy looks better than it did as a teenager!!

I called Dr. T back in May to see about a breast augmentation. I told him my time frame was super important and he called me back that night to do an over the phone consultation. I went in the following day and did an in person consult. He had me scheduled for the augmentation that night and explained to me everything I needed to know beforehand. The day of my surgery I went in and we reviewed what we were going to have done. We began the surgery and I woke up two hours later. The surgery went well and I returned a week later for a post op check up. Everything looked good. I returned for a post op 8 weeks later and everything had healed perfectly and I followed the doctors instructions. I was extremely happy with my results and would definitely see him again for other services. His team of girls from front desk to physicians assistant are all so sweet and professional. Dr. Truesdale is condescending in the way he speaks to his employees and an obvious narcissist. I have had three experiences with him in which this is the case, particularly against his black women employees. Also, pay attention to the way the office responds to the patients with negative reviews. The office deflects the responsibility away from them and places it on the patient. This is problematic but again, Im am not surprised because this shows up in the way he treats his employees. If you support working class women and are against employers that exploit labor, avoid this office.

I wouldnt recommend coming here if you plan on going under the knife. His work is very sloppy. The rhinoplasty I got from him didnt work out, I still didnt like my nose. Im going somewhere else but it doesnt seeem like he concerned with what I had to say and he did the bare minimum on my nose. Plus I have breathing problems now thanks to him.

Breast reduction surgery went well. Dr. T is a nice man. I've had issues after my surgery and I don't think they were taken serious as they should have been. I have been trying to stay positive because Dr. T is polite. I feel like people should have information so they can learn from others situations. I don't trust the billing department. I had my surgery in June. I paid my portion in June and my insurance paid in July. I found out last week my surgery was paid in full by my insurance. It's September. I've been to the office 3 times since my surgery, and I was told I had a credit (I think by mistake). When I asked how much of a credit, the women said she didn't know which I believe she was beating herself up for mentioning it. Now, my credit isn't 10 or 20 dollars. It's 30 percent of my surgery which cost 4500. I'm not rich. This office knows I have children, my 8 month old came to a visit with me. No one told me I had money sitting up there, but the women did tell me they took some money from my credit to pay a bill I didn't know I had. I didn't get an apology. The women seemed irritated that I asked for my money and she asked was I satisfied. I have a bad taste in my mouth and I hope Dr. T can make this right. I want to trust this office again.Update. It's been a while since I've spoken to the surgeon. The last time I spoke with him was right after I wrote my first review. He asked me to take my review down, and I refused. I really thought he was a nice man. But I have to look at these scars on my breast everyday because he didn't take my stitches out at my first, second, or third post op visit. Then tried to charge me for coming back to get the stitches out, after they should have been out the first time. I started to heal before all my stitches were taken out. He pulled them out but reopened my wound and then closed them with some nitrate stick he uses. I don't want him to do anything else to me, and I was considering him for other services and I am glad I didn't. He hasn't called me or anything after I wouldn't take my review down. I hope he retires soon before he causes serious damage. Also, I have text and pictures to back up everything I've said, so please don' t think I'm making anything up.

I absolutely hate I came here. I can say from my personal experience that the negative reviews are very true. I was charged for services not performed was left with a high ugly scar and no belly button. I dont smoke or drink, no previous surgery. I was left two hours on the surgery table the first surgery and longer for a belly button revision which was performed three times! I still have no belly button so no, patient satisfaction is not first and now Im having issues getting my medical records, I will be contacting the nc medical board if they are not ready this week. On top of all of this Ive had four other surgeons tell me that can not fix my belly button without redoing the entire tummy tuck over! He left one check bigger than the other after my fat injections I told him this two weeks after my surgery and he shrugged it off now Im 7months out from the fat injections and he wants to charge me 2500 to fix what was done wrong! I can go on and on but all I can say is I regret I ever came here and spent my hard earned money with this man. And whoever is writing these generic responses can go to hell if my satisfaction was a concern you would have reached out to me and fixed the problem without charging me for a third time my name is on the account of this review contact me directly Kim, Truesdale, or whoever is responding to post!UPDATE: I received a call on yesterday 05/31/18 that they mailed off my records after I specifically said I would pick them up on 6 different occasions! After calling and calling to speak with someone immediately after the message was left with no success I assumed they didnt want to talk to me because they know they wrong. I did however get someone on the phone just a few mins ago and now Im able to go pick them up after 3. Customer service is void for the most part when it comes to this place, I dont understand the high reviews this place gets. On 3/28/18 My first visit & last visit to Dr Truesdale office for a breast reducing consulting, it seem they were under staff and booked to many people at the same time, l was in the room for 20 minutes and when the doctor came in he was going over the process and received a call from a family member which is was a face time call , which was so rude and my shirt was off, no apology at all. If im paying thousands of dollars I expect my results to look like I went to a board certified plastic surgeon and not someone who just started medical school. Pictures dont lie so I included some pics of your work. You completely destroyed my belly button among other things, There are three different looking belly buttons in these pictures because of the ugly initial belly button and the two revisions you did on me leaving the last one a dark mess. You left huge dog ears even after my second sugery to fix it, and the placement of my scar is almost at my waist. I had a tummy tuck with lipo performed in March of 2012, to lose baby fat & stretch marks from four kids.He always took the time to answer my questions over many weeks before and after I made the decision to hire him, from written lists of questions, to emails, photos & phone calls, he never made me feel like a bother.After doing my homework through the board and local hospitals on him, in addition to speaking with former patients of his directly, I happily booked my procedure for the day after my 41st birthday, and never looked back! I would go back to Dr. Truesdale in a heartbeat if I ever need another procedure done. :)

WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER! I have had over 10 surgeries due to some burn scars as a child, this is the worse experience ever. First of all, I was scheduled for surgery and during the week I got very sick and took aome pills that had aspirins, for 3 straight days I called the office to let them know bc I knew that, that would affect my surgery date... well I received no call back so the day of my surgery came up and when I got there they said they were sorry but it was cancelled. My husband had asked for the day off bc I was supposedly going to have surgery... so that day they chose another day... my husband tried to explain to his boss but he was not given the day off bc it was to soon(it was scheduled to a day in the same week). I called to reschedule and they said well we will call you back when we can do your surgery. A month and a half went by and I had received no call, I tried calling but they would send me to the nurses voicemail and she never returned my call until after the 3rd time and I was given a day. So the day of the surgery came and it was HORRIBLE, I came in about 9 am, 10mts later I was admitted I was put in the surgery room it was around 9:30am, 1hr went on by and a nurse came in looked at me and left, then she came back got me completely naked and tide my hands said it was so incase I woke up during surgery, it was around 11am,mind you its a surgery room which they are suppose to be cold, I was naked with only a piece of paper towel covering me. The Dr came in around 11:30am and said there have been some complications with my other surgery its going to be a while and left, I had been there for a long time and my family was outside the waiting area without knowing anything... I was shaking cold around 1pm the anesthesiologist came in and said lets put you to sleep and I told him thank you atleast I wont be cold no more well it turned out the monitor that checks for the vitals signs was not working he was there trying to fix it for 30mts and he finally got it to work. I was suppose to have some part of my skin taken off where no one would notice WELL I had about 10inches of skin from the side of my thighs taken off with a big crooked scar, the part of this skin was going for my breast that is being pulled by my burns so that was supposed to help it go back in place WELL NOW I AM STUCK WITH MORE SCARS, the piece of skin from my thighs do not match my akin from my breast and it is PURPLE/PiNk and my left breast is hanging even lower!!! They day I went for my post-op it was a nurse who saw me said Dr, Truesdale was not in that day, during the week my scar had been hurting and it had a weird color and Dr Truesdale looked at it said it was fine, when I told him about my experience he said well it was an inconvenience of mine to schedule you that day so you should be happy you got the surgery.I didnt choose the day I didnt say i needed it very soon I was open to any day. * I paid for my surgery out-of-pocket!!* the floor was wet where my surgery was being taken place(advised the nurse) * I looked for many surgeons, dont understand how he has so many good reviews.*WORSE WORSE EXPERIENCE!! * I can share my pics if needed I am not lying.

Don't ask ! Dr Truesdale you know i quit smoking 2 months prior to my surgery as i told you in my consultation! You told me in the constitution to quit smoking 2 weeks prior to the surgery and that's when i told you i had quit 2 months before that ! My first checkup a week after surgery when you looked at my breast you had a funny look on your face and your mannerisms were even different. You were very quiet and not your usual jolly self as you were before. I remember in the hospital you didn't even measure my breast before the surgery just pulled out a magic marker and quickly drew 2 round circles of where my nipples were going to be. Also on the second week of my surgery i started getting red under my left breast and sent you a picture and you called in antibiotics and told me to come in on Monday . When i came in on that Monday as soon as the nurse took off my sports bra blood started running and dripping in the floor..you came in and said what's going on here ? You immediately accused me of smoking which was not true and all my friends and family can vouch for that because my son and daughter in law stayed with me at my home . I looked down and my nipples were dark purple. You told me to come back in on Wednesday and you would ' clean me up ' i had no idea what that meant ! My cousin Susan had brought me to the office on that Monday and she brought me back on Wednesday. You took me to your operating room in your office . You asked me if i had ever had a valium i stated No and your nurse gave me one. Approx 45 min later you and your nurse came into the room and i had no idea what was going on. I didn't want to look down . You got a phone call and you and your nurse left the operating room leaving me alone. I looked down and my right nipple was completely gone and all saw was an open wound. I started crying and the nurse came in and asked what was wrong..i said i have no nipple . What happened to my nipple ? Then you came in and told me i had lost my nipple ..and only then did i know that was going to happen.. you have at least had the decency to give me some warning ! The next time i came you debreded more flesh off each time ..my brother started bringing me .(.as i had to come in 6 or 7 days in a row ) He asked to speak to you and my brother asked you about my other nipple and that's when you told him i was going to loose that one also. I wore bandages for months with packing and would have to drive 45 -50 min each way several times a week to get the packing changed and the bandages redone..until finally the nurse where i worked was able to do it. You solution a year later was to give me fat injections. I went along with you as long as i could and we had the discussion several times about smoking and you and i BOTH know i didn't smoke and wasn't smoking ! Another Dr told me smoking only slows down the healing process it doesn't cause an infection like i had . I went to another plastic surgeon and he told no way would fat injections help my problem of being botched ! I have been asked my several Drs why do i have scars going half the way around my back ? I'm pretty sure i got a staff infection from your office. I know it wasn't my fault this happened and you had no compassion toward me at all. You were just afraid i was going to sue you . Also after i had been coming a couple of months your front office tried to charge me for follow up appts ...really? You can deny this until you are blue in the face but you know I'm telling the truth when i say i quit smoking 2 months prior to the surgery and never smoked . You have no idea how much i have suffered mentally nor do i think you care . Don't insinuate I'm a liar ever again . I still cry to this day when i have to undress . I hope you treat other people you have botched better than you treated me . I have pictures as well and documentation of everything.
