I was reffered to Dr.Vela from OSU to consult on my pinky. He told me that I needed immediate surgery because there was tendon damage and that they would insert an artificial joint etc. He was very high pressure the entire time. For less than 15 minutes in his office I was billed for $600. A year later without the surgery my pinky has made a full recovery. I would highly disadvise seeing him greatly as it seems he's more of a salesman than a surgeon. Would hate to see a person go 30k in debt on a surgery they don't need. He tried convincing me the University would pay for it, yeah right. Big scam. I wonder if he even looked at my X-Rays that i brought from the university..
