I can honestly say that I have never had a single bad experience in this place, and I have been going for all of my own and my daughters appointments for years. That being said, the reason I am writing today is because of Valerie in scheduling! She went above and beyond to help me with a tricky deadline. She was incredibly kind, compassionate and fun to speak with as she found a solution to my worries. She also explained in detail what the process would look like to get in due to the pandemic in a manner that made it seem way less intimidating than it otherwise could have been. The fact that this woman loves her job shines through in her dedication. Give that woman a raise!

My mother rushed my son here yesterday due to a fall that caused a pencil to puncture my sons face right under his eye. The staff was amazing yesterday from the second my mother walked in, to when we left. I cant say enough about how kind and caring this place was. Dr. Evans was great with my son. I am so thankful we chose to come here instead of an ER.

I saw Dr Savage for evaluation for Glaucoma. My husband had a scheduled appointment for cataract follow up on Thursday. As I had developed a problem, he wanted to give up his appointment and see me instead. Dr Savage was kind enough to see both of us at that time. He is extremely courteous, professional and we have complete confidence in him. Becky, his technician was also very helpful to us.

Ive been in a study here for a while and staff has been great. Lady that sees me first and checks my vision is very pleasant. Young man that gets me ready for a injection in my eye is so kind and does a great job. I never feel the needle. Every body is very professional here.

Specifically, I'd like to thank Tracy and Marisa for giving me special attention in checking in and out - to Brittany for being kind to me and for helping Dr. Lutz in a very professional manner - and to Dr. Lutz himself for always taking the time to carefully, very carefully examine my eyes most completely, even if it is for only a pressure check. I absolutely love Dr. Evans, which is the ONLY reason my family continues to use Eye Care Specialists. When I informed the receptionist after waiting 45 minutes, that I needed to leave her response was, 'Didn't this happen to you last time?' Yes, it happens to me EVERY time. So often that the receptionist even remembers! Every time anyone in my family has an appointment, we wait an hour past our appointment time to actually be seen. I wonder what would happen if we showed up an hour late for our appointment? If you love to sit in a waiting room at the eye doctor for hours on end, this place is for you!

I would never recommend this place to anyone. The desk staff were the most ignorant people I have ever met.I waited 2 1/2 to see a Dr and there were only 2 people ahead of me. It's sad that you have to wait that long to be seen by a Dr. When you have an appointment. God forbid if it was emergency you'd go blind and never see again. Thank God this is not an off site Operating Room.

Hosestly the most unprofessional place I have gone to. The staff is polite but they dont seem to have a hold on their records. First they tell me I have a lower balance, then Call me back and tell me the price I told her the first time on the phone and paid the remaining balance.... go to pick them up and now they say its more expensive them what I paid... needless to say I still dont have my glasses.

I would highly recommend Dr. Savage. I am a very appreciative mother. After a month of vision and eye difficulties he truly was a comfort to my 17 year old and answered all his concerns and questions after doing very extensive exam. He truly was so helpful in gathering information and setting us in the right direction. Then received a message later in the evening with further information he checked on. The further information was not substanstial but wanted to let us know. Thanked us for allowing him to be a part of my childs eye examination and do not hesitate to call if we have any questions. What a wonderful feeling to know our county has this kind of Amazing opthamologist. So grateful this evening for Drs who really care about their patients. Thank You Dr. Savage and all the staff who were absolutely amazing in this stressful process.

Very dissatisfied with the professionalism in this establishment. Could not wear the glasses which I bought my frames elsewhere and they charged over 300 dollars for the lenses . I brought the glasses back to correct the lenses their mistake , and I was recharged another 332.00. Everytime I went there I was charged astronomically. I was talked down to by a staff member 3 times . I would not recommend this establishment .

I have been going here since October 2018 and every time that I go I am asked if I want to make a payment. I do it and last time I went I made a $497 payment. They still sent my balance to collections. I'm done coming here. I don't care if I go blind.

We have been here multiple times and were previously very pleased with this office but after this time I don't plan to return. When we previously ordered here for my son they had a large selection of frames to try on and the frames &/or lenses were ready in 2 weeks (which is standard, I've needed glasses most of my life as well). So this time we go in to try on the next size up for my son to possibly order with new lenses and they barely had anything in stock, there was nothing anywhere near his size to try on. So we had to wait 2 weeks for them to order frames just to try on, they left me a voice mail on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving just saying they were in and only that....how about mentioning the office would be closed the rest of the week so that I didn't have to drive down there Friday AM to find them closed & have to drive back the same way for work that afternoon just to repeat the same 2 trips Monday?! So we go back Monday and had to stand there 40 minutes with my toddler and a crowd of others that the 3 techs (which turned into 2 when 1 just got up and left halfway through my wait) were in absolutely no hurry to assist anyone. When it was our turn the frames fit but came in the wrong color which they said was no problem that they would reorder the right color frames and order the lenses too since we knew they fit now. 2 1/2 weeks go by & I call to check on them and am told 'not ready yet', the next week his father calls & was told 'not ready yet'. At the end of that week his father checks in person & was told it was taking so long b/c 1) I ordered wrong: NO I DIDN'T 2) he has a high prescription: YES BUT ALL HIS OTHER HIGH PRESCRIPTION LENSES STILL ONLY TOOK 2 WEEKS 3) due to Xmas: NOT WHEN I ORDERED IN NOVEMBER. So they finally call to let us know they are ready the day after Xmas & I went the next day to get them. The tech starts with 'so did they tell you what was going on?'. Apparently they were repeatedly getting the wrong color frames in and didn't bother to actually tell us what was going on and giving BS excuses & blaming me & only called when they thought they had the right thing which was close but still wrong. Luckily in case of this I had the stroke of genius to check Amazon & they did have the size & color I wanted. I told the tech I am done waiting on them & that I wanted the lenses & a refund for the frames, that I would order them myself. He then sent me to his supervisor whose gave me the lenses & proceeded to tell me that they don't keep cash in the building for refunds(B.S. it wasn't even $100 they definitely could have come up with that) and that I would have to wait for their accountant to cut me a check....at this point I was so ridiculously furious I could barely ask how long & can you mail it, was told about a week and yes. I then just had to get the hell outta there cause my next move was probably going to be to leap across the desk & choke the living daylights out of that woman. I got the exact size & color of frame in 3 days off Amazon & had to wait 2 weeks for my refund. Absolutely ridiculous.

I was in today and looked at frame was helped by a women named kristy that did not seem interested in helping me at all and seemed more interested about who was texting her on her phone. This is the rudest time Ive ever been here and its disgusting that someone would actually be on there phone in front of a patient. I will never come back and will never suggest this place to anyone

I called today to ask about an appointment to check out some flashes I was having my eye. The woman who answered the phone automatically was going to refer me to an MD for $275. I told her we didn't even know if there was a problem yet or if this was an isolated incident. She kept interrupting me, and then treating me as if I was a hysterical female. She kept telling me I know you're worried I know you're worried. I think she was more worried than I was.I also said I needed an eye exam for glasses and she told me that's completely different. I then asked if, when they did an eye exam for glasses, they checked the macula and the retina, etc. And she said but you're coming in for a problem. I kept insisting I just wanted to know if they checked for that during a general eye exam for glasses and she wouldn't answer me. Even Walmart checks for these things when you go in for glasses. She finally asked if I wanted to speak to her supervisor and I said no..... I was going to go somewhere else.The reviews are right. It must be all about the money, because she would not get off of the subject of my problem. Would not answer any other questions. I recommend people find a more professional place to go to. I know I won't be darkening their doorway.

I have been here more than once and although I believe the doctor's to be quite competent, this office is like entering a factory assembly line for eye care patients. Today's visit was scheduled for 9AM. Arrived 8:45 as directed, and had already pre registered. Once you enter there is really no direction as to where to go if pre registered. There are dozens of patients waiting in color coded seating with staff wandering around calling for patients based on some internal schedule that defieslogic. Waited until 1035 see the doctor for our 9AM appointment and had to call attention to this long wait. Staff is okay but system seems broken! Needs Big Fix!!!!

The surgeon I had for both eyes was excellent , however I must say ( due to the 'factory' type of set up this feels like) there was to my awareness too many oversights that happened with his staff and inter-office communications. The Kingston facility where my first eye surgery was performed was very professional, as was the Scranton facility where my other eye was done; however, the second experience in the operating room was not as pleasant. The surgery was already in progress when the anesthesiologist informed me he had decided not to give me anything...without even consulting me before hand. Seeing then that I was in need of something, he administered a drug to me to which I had a very negative reaction that left me in the recovery room for 2 and a half hours afterwards. I am assuming for this reason this healing hasn't been as fast as the first one. I am offering these insights so no one will have to experience this unexpected and rude treatment that could have been professionally avoided!

I recently was diagnosed with the start of a cataract in my right eye by my eye doctor Dr. Brian O'Donnell of New Era Eye Care. He detected it early and recommended I see Dr. Harvey Reiser of Eye Care Specialists right away. From the point of my initial visit to the process until and through the surgery I must say there is not a better specialist or surgery center in the area. All involved were extremely thorough as well as knowledgeable and took their time to make sure I understood and was comfortable with my options and decisions. I had the surgery done at the Kingston surgery center where the team there was amazing. I was a nervous wreck and each person that came in contact with me went above and beyond to make sure I was calm and comfortable. The surgery went without issue and since the follow up has been equally great. They add a nice touch by giving all patience a plant as they leave the surgery center which I must admit I did not remember getting until the next day. What I did remember was the process and procedure is one I would not have trusted to just any eye doctor. I am thrilled with Dr. Harvey Rieser and Eye Care Specialists and would highly recommend him and his team to everyone. Sight is one of our most valuable assets. Please make sure you put your future in great hands by using Eye Care Specialists. Thank you to everyone that was involved in my procedure. Very pleased.

My cinic visit was ok. I only had to wait about 30 minutes for the doctor to see me. What is frustrating is having to call back more than a dozen times in just a 4-day period because they fail to communicate with me and my pharmacy about my prescription. I feel like they just do not care. They do not care if the patient still has not taken or use the supposed medication even after 4 days. There is no sense of ugency even if i told them I have been to their clinic to see a doctor twice in just one week and I need this medication bad. I am changing doctors because of this.

The prices are cheap and that's always good. However, when your cheap glasses and lenses come back with crazing (tiny scratches that show when held up to light) on them after you've sent them back THREE TIMES to remedy the same problem, one sacrifices cheapness for quality and demands a refund and takes their business elsewhere. I wish they'd refuse to use the crappy labs they send their glasses to or at least take more care in ensuring that after glasses come back defected repeatedly that the lab doesn't mess up again. To their credit, I wasn't hassled when I asked for a refund.

Came here for a second opinion, saw one dr who referred me to another one (3 appts in all) I had to go in for testing before i saw the specialist. Came in for my 2 pm appt didnt leave until 4 pm (not good) Saw the dr once, told me he wanted more tests, went in to another doctor, i said to her i got tests done, oh, look lo and behold, there are the tests that he wanted in the computer in my chart (no one bothered to look) Waited again to see him, the man is arrogant, talked to me like i was a 3 yr old did not appreciate this at all. Told me to go back to the other doctor, i said i dont want to go back there. Then proceeded to tell me that there is nothing he can do for me, go tot Geisinger or some other place Wills something, I said I cant see, I will get the glasses until I can go somewhere else. The girl made an appt for my glasses, told me that i need 45 dollars, now the other doctor said that glasses are covered my Medicare after cataract surgery, so if i need money later I will be filing complaints with the Attorney General's OFfice. She said that the dr needs more stuff to do and medicare doesnt cover it Yeah right, I cannot see, so this is my only option right now, until i get to see another specialist. Oh, get a doctor without an attitude

I been going here for years and when I mean years we are talking like 15+ years. I like it better when it was on Dorrance St., now the peope that work there just don't care about their jobs and the oganization on how things are run are backwards. At least at dorance st you were highly organized and you knew where to go. Even when you called you have always gotten a real peson to talk to when odering your contacts or glasses now yuo get a answering machine and be lucky to get a call back the next day. I went here after going to a family doctor for a few years because I thought I would give another try at it because I love my doctor. Well its not any different or better and I feel sorry for the doctors because eventually they could lose their customers because of your other staff. Just an idea on scheduling appts! Maybe you should schedule them 4 weeks before the customers 1 year is up just in case they have to reschedule, so this way they will have their contacts. Customers should also be warned to buy their contacts before the year is up so they know anytime after then they will not be able to get them until their appt. There is really too much to explain here but it is NOT like it used to be. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY NOW!
