I had a condition bothering me my entire life that made me extremely self conscious. As I approached my mid 30s, I figured its now or never if I'm going to do something about it. I had no idea what to expect when I had my first consultation with Dr. Kalus. His staff as well as Dr. Kalus couldn't have been more welcoming, which really helped put you at ease. While talking with Dr. Kalus I figured out right away I came to the right place. He was extremely knowledgeable of the condition and explained everything he could do as well as what the results would probably come out as. I'm now a year from when I had the procedure completed. What I can wear as well as how my self confidence is, has changed tremendously. I couldn't have imagined another place to go. I would recommend him to anyone that wants to feel like they are truly being taken care of and their best interest is being looked out for.

After going to two other consultations elsewhere, I was referred to Dr. Kalus by a close family member and also a friend.I was blown away with the friendly staff here when I walked in, and my consultation with Dr. Kalus was more than I could ask for, he made me so comfortable, really listened to what I wanted and I knew I could completely trust him. I felt so at ease! This month, I had my breast augmentation surgery, I couldn't be happier! Dr.Kalus exceeded my expectations! I am so happy I chose him as my surgeon. I had my breast augmentation in May 2010. After waking up, I realized how small my breast were and I bursted into tears. I wasnt realized due to my prescription not being written by Dr. Kalus. I waited an hour for his return. I told him about my dissatisfaction, he told me that no one has ever not like his work and he would redo them at no cost, I would only have to pay for Anesthesia. During my follow-up he informed me he was moving his practice to Charleston. I wished he wouldve told me during my initial visit. Charleston is 3 hours from my home. He withheld this information from me, negligence. When I finally visited him in Charleston to discuss my continuous dislike of his work, he belittled me. He was arrogant, kept saying hes the best. I started to cry, trying to tell him I dont like my breast. He asked me if my Life was okay.. In turn, he quoted me close to $8,000... $3,000 of that was to remove the implant he placed. I originally paid $5,555... an extra $500 was for a pump attached to my body... hes a Lying arrogant physician. And should be stripped of his license

Let me just say, that the customer service at this office is simply phenomenal. I am a student, so I could only get my surgery close to the holiday break so I could have enough off-time to heal. The office staff was very kind and patient with me to work around my busy schedule to get everything booked. Both Dr. Kalus and Dr. Rowin reached out to me to answer every question and worry that I had following surgery, even though the office was closed for the holidays. It has been 8 weeks since I underwent a revision breast reduction with Dr. Rowin with Plastic Surgery of the Carolinas. Previously, I had been through three surgeries with another office that left me unhappy and overwhelmingly self-conscious. So much so, that I spent the past 13 years hiding my breasts in bras that were too big, and full coverage swimsuits, always worrying about the shape and size I was left with. At my first consultation, Dr. Rowin was compassionate and kind, he understood exactly what it was that I didnt like about my breasts and explained to me step-by-step what to expect with another revision surgery. His confidence and supreme knowledge made me feel 100% comfortable that he would be able to correct the part of me I had been hiding for so long. Fast forward to 72-hours after my surgery; I took my bandages off and looked in the mirror only to find the breasts I had been hoping for since I started my journey so long ago. It may sound silly to say that that breasts can be life changing, but in the weeks since my surgery I have been able to try on AND PURCHASE new swimsuits and bras; which normally would have me in tears and leaving stores empty handed and feeling completely defeated. There are too many words to express my gratitude towards Dr. Rowin. He is very thorough and a perfectionist in all of the best ways. Plastic Surgery of the Carolinas is gorgeous and clean, and all of the staff is kind and welcoming. I hope that by sharing my experience, Dr. Rowin will get the chance to change other peoples lives like he has mine.
