This year I will turn 40. I have been contemplating fillers for a couple of years and decided that I would get them this year. I have seen some 'bad jobs' and I have to admit I was very nervous. After spending countless hours on the internet 'googling' I came across Dr. Funcik. I am a RN and am very particular about things. After researching many different physicians, I decided to make the drive from Myrtle Beach to Charleston. I have to say, this office is top-notch. From the professionalism you receive from Anna to the kindness you get from their nurse Emily, all the way to the concern, time spent, and treatment with Dr. Funcik everything was perfect! Rarely do you see this kind of service and genuine compassion day-to-day. I am so impressed by Dr. Funcik and his staff! Thank you so much for making me 'fabulous by 40'! I will be seeing y'all again soon!

I was greatly relieved at the compassion of your staff and the kindness mixed with humor of Dr.Funcik. They explained everything that would happen, what to expect and all the post op procedures and info I needed for a quick recovery and minimal scar. The incision is smaller than I would expected and so far I have not needed any pain meds. I have complete confidence that in a year, nobody will ever notice my little scar.

My experience with the entire staff of his office has been a true pleasure. The front office staff are very welcoming and the nursing staff are amazing. Everyone makes you feel comfortable from the moment they meet you. Not to mention Dr.Funcik is fabulous at his job. He takes his time with you and makes you feel like you and your satisfaction really matter. I could not decide on a procedure (Rhinoplasty) for which I have wanted since I was 12 years of age (I am now 44) and Dr.Funcik met with me several times over a period of almost a year to listen to me and my concerns. He wasn't pushy or dismissive, quite the contrary. He was extremely patient and informative while being supportive of whatever decision I made. I am so thankful I chose to go ahead with my procedure and I am even more thankful that I chose Dr.Funcik and his staff to care for me.

When my grandson took a tumble and split his chin wide open, I knew as a physician the importance of getting a top plastic surgeon to do the closure. I quickly consulted a few colleagues, all of whom highly recommended Dr.Tom Funcik. I was familiar with Dr. Funcik's work and knew him to be highly skilled, so I quickly called his office and was squeezed in as an emergency. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Dr. Funcik obtained a beautiful result on my grandson's face. Amazingly, there is essentially no scar, and it is a challenge to even find the spot of the injury. As an over the top bonus, I was stunned by Dr. Funcik's phenomenal skill with children. He spoke gently and directly to my grandson and quickly calmed a crying, bleeding toddler. In fact, Dr. Funcik managed to develop such a trusting relationship with this young patient, that 'Dr. Tom' anesthetized and repaired the gaping wound without even restraining my grandson. I frankly am in awe of his patient skill and manner. On the return appointment, my grandson bounded out of his car seat and ran into the office to see Dr. Tom. He only had good memories of the whole experience. Thank you, thank you Dr. Funcik and staff!

Only Dr. Tom Funcik can make you look forward to having needles stuck in your face! I've been going to Dr. Funcik for years for injectables such as fillers and Botox and always loved the results because they look completely natural. He is dead honest about what you need and when you need it and won't let you look like a duck, fish or frozen face. He delivers these recommendations and treatments with a bedside manner that is skilled, compassionate, knowledgeable and reassuring. I will admit that I 'cheated' on him once (desperately trying to get ready for an event out of town) and hated the results for weeks until they wore off. Dr Funcik (and now Emily) understand the interplay between the musculature of the face and the subtleties of contours and bone structure. I have never and will never cheat again. Treatments are long lasting and therefore a great value. I'm always sublimely pleased after my visits.
