I am leaving a one star review because of the gastroenterology department. I feel they treat patients with a lack of respect and concern for their well being. Also, their follow through and follow up are not very good. I am speaking specifically of Dr. Jeff Michalak and his team.

As the wife of a patient that suffered from undiagnosed symptoms for years I am thankful that Midlands was able to help my husband, but this is where the good experience stops. My husband adores his doctor, but the nurses have been incredibly rude to not only us, but our Pharmacy as well. It is a hassle EVERY TIME we have to refill his prescription and we have to call the office every time. It has gotten to a point that the doctor gave us samples just in case my husband runs out before they can get the script called in. Is this really the standard? They continue to blame the Pharmacy, and I know the Pharmacy is doing as much as they can for us. Midlands really need to figure out how to properly call in prescriptions on time and CORRECTLY! The patient and Pharmacy should not have to call the doctors office to receive or correct an rx after every med check. I have asked my husband multiple times to leave this office for a more competent one, but he likes and trusts his doctor. I truly hope this gets figured out soon. It is a waste of everyone's time to have to constantly check up on the doctors office. The only reason they are getting two stars is because they could give my husband a diagnosis when nobody else could.

The surgery was a fiasco. It took an hour and a half just for a standard gallbladder removal. Then they wanted to keep us over night just for antibiotics that can be taken orally. Later for the post op appointment, we had to wait an hour in the waiting room after the sceduled appointment time. And an additional 40 minutes in the doctors office. There were no real excuses as to why the wait was so long and our insurance is private so the doctor is paid in full for subpar performance. One of the worst bedside manner practices I have witnessed. The only reason why he is receiving a 2 star rating is becuase the surgery wounds healed nicley.

I accompanied my sister and her husband to see Dr. Bligh on April 4 about the results of a recent colonoscopy. First, Dr. Bligh was wonderful and professional. Alone she would get a five star rating. However, the nurse (I don't know her name but she had a very strong accent) was very rude. Shortly after Dr. Bligh presented the upsetting results, she said they would schedule a CAT scan for the next day if possible. After the doctor left the room, her nurse came in and said she would try to call to schedule the CAT scan the next day. I asked why she couldn't make that call today. She dismissively said she had to 'cover the whole clinic today' and didn't have time, and walked out of the room. After receiving such frightening news only moments earlier, I was shocked that this nurse could be so disrespectful towards my sister. As a professor of nursing, I understand the demands on nurses can be high, however there was no reason for her rude and non-caring attitude.

Nothing but a terrible agonizing experience with this place. Had surgery and was left in pain, was sent home with Tylenol and told to take ibuprofen... Its not helping. If you do not like pain find another place!!!

After much prompting from family members i attended the informational seminar on gastric surgery hosted by the midlands clinic. A couple months later i had the gastric bypass surgery and it has completely ruined my life. Everything i eat makes me neaseous, im not getting near the amount of nutrients and protein recommended by their nutritionist. Im constantly tired and feel terrible. I am ~3 months out from my surgery and would not recommend this surgery to anyone.edit. i am now roughly 9 months out from my surgery and though i have improved somewhat i would still never recommend this surgery as my quality of life has significantly decreased since the surgery.

*Posting on behalf of my mother, for she doesn't have an account* Recently one of their endocrinologist's had relocated which was the doctor I had been seeing, once I reached out for help and was told that my doctor was no longer working their and I had no notice of them leaving. They weren't any help getting me transferred to another doctor in their facility or anything. Now I am out of my prescription with no doctor and no help. So disappointed on how this situation was handled.

I am biased. But I love the staff at Midlands. The dermatology team is great - Dr. Chabra and Dr. Daffer are lucky to have such a dedicated team.

I saw the dermatologist Dr. Chabra at Midlands Clinic. I was able to get my child in on the same day for a derm appointment to see Dr. Chabra. He was great! He was very thorough and explained his diagnosis and treatment plan in detail. The day I had the appointment for my child, I spoke with Dr. Chabra about cosmetics available at Midlands clinic. I was extremely impressed! I found out that Dr. Chabra was trained by Obagi! Midlands has everything you need for cosmetic dermatology! I have gotten a peel, botox and fillers and look and feel awesome! I didn't realize you could get spa treatments in the Dunes!
