I went to see Dr. Proffer after a horrible experience with another surgeon in Dallas who unfortunately did a horrible job on one of my eyelids. A friend of mine recommended Proffer Surgical in Amarillo, and while it was a bit far from home, I really needed someone I could trust. Dr. Proffer was amazing since the very first visit and the whole process was great, beginning to end. Super nice staff and easy fast recovery.

I utilized Proffer and associates to preform an abdominoplasty. I was so excited. I saved and planned. I chose them because they performed a reconstruction surgery on a family member and did a BEAUTIFUL job. It came time for my surgery and Patrick Proffer was professional and informative during my consultation. I had my surgery and had obvious soreness and discomfort. I started fearing an infection in my belly button. I called repeatedly and informed them. The nurse, Stacy kept brushing it under the rug. She never asked me to come in. I finally got upset and she had Karen, the nurse practitioner call me. She asked me what was going on. I started to relay what my fear was and that I had contacted them repeatedly. She reprimanded me as though I was an emotional teenage girl. She ended up prescribing antibiotics. I called again, 4 weeks later with fluid build up. She asked me to come in. When I mentioned I was seeing my primary she again reprimanded me and told me she told me I needed to stop and just see them. She asked me why. I told her because I dont feel heard and feel like I am an inch tall everytime I speak with them. She then informed me she wasnt going to speak with me anymore unless her husband, Patrick Proffer was in the room. I preceded to walk out and tell them I am done. I spent a great deal of money to be ignored when I indeed had a staph infection. I would never recommend this place for anything. I am still in their parking lot feeling an inch tall. Will not return.
