I came to see Dr. Buckingham about a year ago for a lower face and neck lift and to work on my upper lids, which have turned out so well! At that time, me and my friends had been searching for a good facial plastic surgeon and Dr. Buckingham caught my eye. He is nice, professional, but most important of all - honest. He'll tell you what he wants you to know, and what's achievable. He and his staff have taken such great care of me, I've had nothing but a pleasant experience through surgery and even the follow-ups.I'm back today for some hair restoration and microneedling that I'm having done, which I didn't have to wait much for as his team is so attentive. My husband is a physician, and upon leaving Dr. Buckingham's practice, I took a couple of business cards with me and told my husband that if anyone needs anything done, HE is the guy to go to. I highly recommend Dr. Buckingham.

I had a reconstructive procedure done post Moh's surgery to remove skin cancer. It was on my nose, in a very tricky spot, and I was very anxious and apprehensive as I had never gone to a plastic surgeon before and truly didn't know what to expect. Now I know that was because I have just been fortunate enough not to ever have needed one before. Dr. Buckingham was recommended by my dermatologist as THE BEST facial plastics surgeon around and only person she would trust and she was right. He masterfully corrected the hole left and today I got my stitches out and can already tell that in a week or so no one will even be able to tell anything happened. It looks amazing. His team was great, he was professional, caring and is truly the best. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, especially for something as delicate and non-voluntary as a reconstruction procedure. I may now even check out some of their non surgical services! Thank you!

I have been wanting to have my lack of a chin and turkey neck fixed for years. I researched and researched and researched and interviewed multiple doctors. I met Dr. Buckingham and his staff and instantly felt welcomed and knew that I would be in great hands. He told me what he would do to correct my neck improving my side profile and explained how the chin implant would go in and work. I scheduled the procedure that day. I the morning of I took a sedative and had local anesthetic and the procedure was done in office. No pain, and no fear! I came back a day or two after and we unwrapped my face. I looked in the mirror and cried. I had a side profile!! Even though I was very swollen I could immediately see the change!Unfortunately the tape or bandage used on my neck Caused an allergic reaction which caused blisters so we needed to treat those and the discoloring it caused. Dr Buckingham and his staff made sure I had everything I needed for the blisters and when they healed used a laser to help speed up the healing process. I just received my before and after pictures today and almost fell out of my chair! I knew it looked better but OMG!! I love it!! I cried when I saw them, I truly couldnt be any happier. Thank you so much Dr Buckingham! Im in love with my face and profile!!

The entire practice is just kind of a disaster. I went in for undereye filler with Juvederm. I had problems with a crease under one eye. Barb, the practice manager at the time was wonderful & told me they would fix it at no cost (which they should). Renee ended up using a different & less expensive filler because she said multiple patients had come back with complaints with the Juvederm. It was leaving creases under their eyes & she was having to dissolve and refill. No problem except the new practice manager, Clayton, refuses to reimburse me for the price difference. His reasoning is the dissolving of the Juvederm and refilling with Restalyne was complimentary (as it should be). So I was charged for Juvederm but in the end received Restalyne. I'm not sure how that's ethical? It's also unfortunate because Renee is a talented injector and I wanted to continue to see her.

Astounding results! I had facial fat grafting with Dr. Buckingham and could not have wished for a better outcome. First and foremost, my results look completely natural. When I tell people what I had done they're shocked. I can't tell you how many times people have said 'you look so much better, but I can't tell why'.I can see the wheels turning as they look at my face in awe because they still can't see exactly what was done in any one place. Point being, my results are superbly subtle but life changing.I'm a thin person and knew as I aged losing fat in my face would not only age me, but make me look sickly. I didn't want to necessarily look younger, but healthier. Dr Buckingham achieved that result perfectly. I want everyone to know I did years of research before having this procedure. In the wrong hands, this procedure could be devastating and disfiguring. I consulted with 3 other doctors (none were in Austin). I even drove to Dallas to visit a highly recommended surgeon but ultimately found Dr. Buckingham to be the most well-rounded in everything I was looking for. Dr. Buckingham is talented, experienced, realistic, cautious, gentle, effective, informative, honest, open, and with no ulterior motive being his top priority that I could find. I had just turned 50 and was looking to do something about my neck. I didn't want anything drastic, just a touch up that would help me look better from a side view. The wrinkles and sagging skin really showed in that area and made me appear much older. I've been coming to Dr. Buckingham for minimally invasive cosmetic procedures for several years now, so I knew exactly where to turn. Dr. Buckingham did my neck lift revision. My first face and neck lift was done three years ago by another plastic surgeon here in Austin. I was not at all satisfied with the results. Mistakenly, I let the same surgeon do a revision. The outcome was equally as bad. I was frustrated, confused, and very unhappy. All I can say is thank goodness someone recommended Dr. Buckingham. I felt so comfortable with him from the get-go. He performed my revision three months ago and wow, I FINALLY have great results. Would I recommend Dr. Buckingham to other patients?...Undoubtedly, in a heartbeat. He and his staff are competent, professional, and extremely attentive and patient. Rene is amazing! Incredibly sweet, professional, and highly skilled at injections. I have been to other, very well-reputed places in Austin, but Rene is hands down the best. The nurses and staff were also wonderful. Never going anywhere else! As an aside, BC charges per area rather than per unit, which is a much better option, in my opinion. It ended up saving me a lot. They'll also do more for no charge for a two-week period following treatment. Highly, highly recommend Buckingham Center!!!

I was in for a halo laser treatment. Renee was my nurse and did a stellar job.The entire staff is so thoughtful and caring. I have very bad skin allergies and they had me come in for a separate test to make sure I wouldn't break out from the numbing cream they used. No issues and BTW, that cream worked really well. Didn't need any additional anesthesia around my mouth to treat that area. Thank you!!On August 27, 2018 Dr. Buckingham did a full lower face lift and endoscopic brow lift for me. My entire experience with his team at the office and the surgical center was superb and I am beyond thrilled with the results. Its wonderful to walk into a doctors office and hear laughter in the back office. Everyone on the staff was so caring and supportive throughout the process. Also, the flowers the day after my surgery were a beautiful touch. Although Im in excellent health, I have allergies to latex, neomycin, and just about every type of cream or ointment on the market. That meant I was unable to follow the normal post-operative protocols in terms of treating my incision sites. I did tolerate Aquaphor and then got a reaction to that as well. All through the process of dealing with this, Dr. Buckingham and his staff diligently worked with me to resolve all the issues I was having.I also did not tolerate the first pain reliever that was prescribed for me due to some post-operative nausea. Dr. Buckingham went out of his way to meet my husband on his way home from work to provide me with a new prescription. What came as a surprise, was that I was so numb from the surgery that I didnt need any additional pain relievers. My incision sites were very sore, and I couldnt sleep on my side until four weeks out, but I did fine with no pain relievers at all even though I do have a low pain threshold. If youre considering this surgery, you need to know that this is more than just a nip and a tuck as I often thought of it. It is major reconstruction surgery and Dr. Buckingham very accurately described what the procedures would be and what to expect. The entire procedure took 4.5 hours in the operating room. The good news is that the type of anesthetic they used did not leave me with six months of being foggy from a general anesthetic like my hysterectomy did. In terms of the recovery, it was a lot tougher than I anticipated, although a big part of it probably has to do with my agethe older you are, the longer it takes to heal. It did take a full four weeks before my black eyes resolved, although I was able to go out and started light exercise after two weeks. I spent a big part of the first month in bed. We went on a three week European cruise five weeks after the surgery and I handled all the walking and climbing with no problemjust a bit more tired than usual.The one thing I was unprepared for was looking at myself in the mirror the first four weeks after surgery. There was someone else looking back at me in the mirror and I didnt recognize her. It was quite disconcerting. As the swelling subsided, the image in the mirror morphed back into me, except a much better, younger-looking version. If you have this done, be patient with the healing process. Today, at ninety days out, I love my results. Im still numb around my ears and neck. When I saw my before and after pictures today, Im so glad that I did the surgery. My huge double chin is gone, and I have the side profile that I had back in my 20s. The surgery literally has taken a good ten years off my face. I cannot recommend Dr. Buckingham highly enough. He is an extremely skilled surgeon, is kind and understanding, and has assembled a fantastic support staff to see his patients through what can be a difficult process. I am extremely gratefulthank you!!

Earlier this year, Dr. Buckingham recommended a facelift to improve my eyesight and lift my overall appearance. He came referred by some friends. I quickly found that Dr. Buckingham and I shared common goals for my face and features. He is such a positive man, his confidence was contagious. So in March, I had my procedure. Barb, the practice manager is the rudest and the most officious practice manager I have ever encountered. She refused to see us after we waitied 6 months for the appointment because I would not allow them to copy my drivers license for my daughters file. There is no real reason they need this except for their own intrusive rules. Nor could they offer me any valid reason that they need it other than that was their policy I offered multiple times to show them my drivers license to prove it was me and they refused. All together a horrendous experience. I can't speak to how Dr. Buckingham is personally as we were not allowed to see him.

I had prominent ears my entire life. For as long as I can remember, I wanted them pinned back. Once I finally made the decision to have an otoplasty, I started researching surgeons online. Dr. Buckingham was exactly what I was looking for; a local, board-certified facial plastic surgeon. My otoplasty consultation went great. I liked Dr. Buckingham's personality a lot and was comfortable with him, super confident that he would give me the results I always wanted. I'm fully recovered from surgery and am incredibly happy: my ears match the rest of my face and look really natural, they're not pinned back too far at all. If someone asked me where to go to have an otoplasty, I would without a doubt say Dr. Buckingham.
