I had a very good experience with Dr Whitney in September 2018 when he did surgery to repair a trigger finger for me. He spent a great deal of time with me to make sure he and his staff had all the information they needed to complete the job. His after care, from both he and his fabulous nurse, was wonderful and I appreciated his response to my concerns. He did the surgery in just 9 minutes! All in all a much better experience then I had had previously, with another doctor, on the opposite hand.

Okay, I'll be the first to review Dr. Whitney. I went to him for consultation on removal of a routine lipoma on my back. He spent exactly 4.7 minutes with me, told me I was a 'veteran' of this procedure (since I'd had one removed a few years earlier by a different doctor in Tacoma). Didn't even touch me or shake my hand. He told me the procedure would be covered by my Kaiser Permanente insurance. When the estimate came in for a whooping $14,000 out of pocket, I cancelled the surgery. Interesting that the prior procedure was done in office with local anesthetic. Whitney proposed hospital surgery with full anesthetic. Then I get an office visit bill stating that he spent 20 mins with me for $70 (on top of a $30 co-pay at the time of the visit), and a collection notice warning to boot. What an insult! What a scam! I strongly warn others to seek care outside of Bellingham, since Plastic Surgery Bellingham is the only game in town.
