I came to Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon's Renton office in need of scar revision surgery on my chin and my eyebrow. It will be a while before I see the results of my surgery, since I have to wait for the new scar to fade, but I was very impressed with the people working in this office. I have a VERY severe phobia of needles, so on the morning of surgery I was a nervous wreck waiting to get my IV. The only thing worse than the needle is being a 25 year old knowing you're going to embarrass yourself in front of a bunch of nurses over a tiny needle prick. However, the nurses were SO sweet and patient with me. I got to lay in a massage chair with a heating blanket which helped to relax me. When the time came to insert the IV, the nurse stuck it in the top of my forearm which hurt far less than inside where they usually do it. While I waited to enter the operating room, the nurses constantly came to check on me to make sure I was comfortable. I was nervous because I had never been under anesthesia before, so when it was time for me to go to sleep the nurse held my hand until I was out. I honestly couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience!
