Beyond floored with the results of my septorhinoplasty. My nose is more perfect than I had hoped and I can breathe through my nose properly for the first time in over 12 years! Dr. Sand and his team have been so welcoming and quick to answer any questions I have. The healing process has been smooth and easy, and the best part is that I finally feel like my nose fits me. I broke it twice growing up resulting in quite a hump. After my surgery, I'm no longer hyper aware of my angles in photos and to have that weight lifted feels amazing. My nose fits my face perfectly and looks so natural that people are shocked to learn that I've had it corrected. When I was younger I had an injury that resulted in a broken nose and crooked appearance. It bothered me immensely. Nearly a decade later I finally decided to get it corrected. Originally I thought I only needed a functional procedure to correct a deviated septum that would, in addition to improving my breathing, minimize the crooked appearance. My insurance even covered most of it. However, I decided that if I'm going to go through with this procedure, and have to endure the recovery process, I might as well bite the bullet and put down the extra 5-6 thousand dollars toward a cosmetic procedure to make sure I was completely satisfied. Dr. Sand accommodated my last minute request and managed to find time in his busy schedule to do both the functional and cosmetic procedure without having to reschedule to a later date. Post surgery. The recovery was absolute hell. I had to go to the emergency room the night of the surgery because I was having a difficult time breathing. Days followed I couldn't sleep, I couldn't eat anything or even drink much because I was constantly spitting up blood. Lots of blood. Then the splints and bandages were removed a week later. What a difference! I went straight to Frank's Diner that morning and had me a breakfast that would last a week. My sense of smell was very intense in that place. At first I was obsessed with comparing and contrasting the before and after pictures I had taken. The recovery infuriated me, as I had lost all patience and just wanted to be done with recovery. So, I expected results. I was very pleased with how the tip and the nasal bone looked. The bulbous effect on the tip was greatly reduced and the crooked appearance on my nasal bone was straightened like an arrow. I was conflicted at first about how the upper cartilage appeared to be slightly crooked. My left profile seemed to be still straighter than my right. It took some time to come to the realization that not everybody has a face that's perfectly symmetrical, which may alter the appearance of one's nose in relation to the rest of their face. I may see the subtle difference but it doesn't mean others will. In fact, most people when asked don't even know what I'm talking about. It's been about 5 months now following surgery. The swelling is gone. It looks better than ever. My nose is still a bit tender especially when I'm wearing glasses. I'm so very happy that I found Dr. Sand. He is very personable and knows his craft. Finally, I can move on.

During my recovery process he was supportive and quick with responses to any questions. The results..fabulous! I feel a new spark , pride and renewed interest in my appearance. Dr. Sand is thorough and easy to understand with how he explains the procedures. He has lots of experience, and is very good at making patients feel comfortable and welcome. My experience with him was great, from the very start I felt comfortable with the amount of information I was given. Of course, his care doesn't end after the surgery. He called the next morning to check on how I was doing. All in all, he is reliable and personable. I would recommend him to anyone looking into plastic surgery!

I am a 65 year old woman who had a botched facial cosmetic procedure 20 years ago and, as a result, the left side of my face had lost most of its fullness causing a 3 inch long deep crease parallel to my my nose. I was so self conscious about it too!! Doctor Sand injected that area beautifully with dermal fillers and I hardly experienced any pain or bruising!! He also added some fillers to the right side of my face to balance everything. I am so happy with the result and will continue to see him if I need any other procedures done!!!!!
