This is an excellent professional medical group. Everyone is very talented, direct in answering questions, and you can tell they sincerely care about their patients. During my last visit, I was seen by a member of their staff that I had not met before...Michelle Whitman. She exceeded even my high expectations for friendly, effective patient care. She was skillful in listening to my comments and then identifying the problem. She effectively explained the treatment procedure...and then found an issue I didn't know I had and treated it immediately! Friendly, caring, and effective! I highly recommend Michelle, their entire staff, and Advanced Dermatology!

I have seen Michelle, PA for a couple of years now. I love her, she always takes the time to listen and then asks if there is anything else that is concerning me. Each time she had extensive knowledge in the problem I was having and was able to fix it. Today I went in for a Biopsy and met her assistant, I had never seen him before today, and I don't remember what his name was, but he had the best attitude and was great at putting me at ease with getting a shot in my nose. I normally don't write review but because my experience here has been excellent it prompted me to write this.

Never again. First, I tried to reschedule because I was having an emergency with my pet. I left a message on the after hours voicemail and no one returned my call. When I called the morning of my appointment, I was rudely told it was still scheduled and given no explanation as to why no one returned my call. So I went to the appointment anyway. The office was dirty, dusty and dingy, more like a cave. I was seen by a very off-putting PA. He was humming to himself most of the exam. When he went to look at the moles on my back, he yanked my underwear down with no warning or notice. I'm going somewhere else to get a second opinion on my mole screening. I don't trust this shady place.

When my doctor retired, I scheduled with Molly - she listened about a mix up with scheduling, and addressed all 3 of my health issues & questions. I visited a dermatologist in Scottsdale where the Civic Center Pharmacy is located (feel free to Google who I'm referring to). He was non-personable and my skin exam took less than 2 minutes. I could tell he wanted to be in and out, regardless of any severity I could have potentially been facing. With that being said, I made sure to do extensive research on the next dermatologist to prevent this same thing from happening, especially since I do have a family history of skin cancer. I'm glad I came across Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, courtesy of ZocDoc. I made an appointment the very next day, and they even had a 7 am appointment so I wouldn't have to miss any work.The doctor I saw was extremely thorough, did not rush the appointment, and answered any and every question or concern that I had. This place is definitely going to be my permanent dermatologist now.

Was not pleased with staff, doctor, or facility. Staff wasn't very helpful and didn't react much until the Starbucks boy came in. Doctor wasn't very helpful or possessed much knowledge on the subject, and facility had a damp old building odor.Was not treated or refereed. But at least I got the bill in the mail promptly.

I felt that this location at 740 east highland was not clean, nor well kept. It was very uncomfortable. Michelle was very good. She used gloves and was pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. But I would not return due to the condition of this place...really???

Co-pay amount is ridiculous for preventative mole removal in AZ, especially when you're making money hand over fist for your cosmetic procedures. People without insurance would never visit your offices.

Misdiagnosed when I had the shingles! They did not have the proper cultures to culture the area, they were supposed to call me when they had them, never did, and thats been weeks!! Thankfully a wise Nurse Practitioner at Walgreens health center was able to PROPERLY diagnose. Dont come to this shack, and do not recommend friends. Poor customer service, and even worse health care.

I had a very disappointing experience with my dermatologist appointment after sitting in the office waiting room well after the appointment was to start. I asked if I was checked in, to find out what was taking so long. They informed me they were running 40 minutes behind and that I should not book on Tuesdays as they don't have enough doctors working on Tuesdays. They suggested I should reschedule if it was going to be an issue. I didn't consider this to be an appropriate attitude or explanation for a new patient and I also believe they should have informed me of how behind the doctor was running when I checked in an hour early at 9:30 for my 10:30am appointment. Or maybe since it is common knowledge Tuesdays is their day they run behind maybe space out the appointments more appropriately? -I live in the West Valley about an hour away. It wasn't a skip down the street I'd be happy to do again for giggles.I decided to cancel my appointment and find another dermatologist after waiting a bit longer. My cheif concern with this office wasn't the issue how late they were running however. I really wasn't pleased with the cleanliness of their office. The carpets were all very dirty, they have stains from water leaks on their ceiling tiles, most of their lighting in the waiting room were burnt out light bulbs, the waiting chairs were all dirty and very old, everything was very worn and dated(very 90s). The lack of attention given to the room EVERY patient has to wait in was very troubling to me. From my past experiences with dermatologist this is not the norm.This was not a place I would expect One Medical to refer patients. After being so happy with my experience with One Medical I have to say this was very disappointing. This office seems to be the exact antithesis of One Medical. One Medical, appointments start on time, the office is beautiful, clean, comfortable and designed to welcome.When I said I wanted to cancel and return my co-pay, I explained my issues with the office manager. She acknowledged the office was ran down and in need of a remodel but she said the dermatologist was really good. I informed her as someone who sees a dermatologist on a very regular basis, based on this experience, I wasn't wanting to book another appointment with them. She was cordial but repeated the 'do not book on Tuesdays' which is a bit bizarre to me.They also never emailed or called to confirm the appointment. I had to call them the day before to confirm it was still on the books.

I have called numerous times to nurse line and left a message to please call me back and not did they call back. I know there busy but to NOT have been called back like the say within 24 to 48 hours is really not except able that just shows they dont care about there patients.

Scheduling and reminders are easy and efficient. No waiting to see doctor/PA. Pleasant staff. Labs identified squamous, walked me up Mohs office. Next day removal, two week follow up, all good. Encouraged me to come in in couple of months if scar is nuisance, can inject it to help it settle down. Mohs doc and staff were terrific.

Don't judge a book by it's cover, in this case don't judge a derm office by their signage. I wasn't quite sure what strange cave of mystery lie beyond the no frills signage, but I went inside the derm cave anyway. It wasn't bad. The office had a modernized intake process with ipads instead of clipboards that I was able to take with me from waiting room to patient room as I completed my forms. Also, the staff was great. The greatest of all being Matt my PA. He was very kind and thorough. He entertained my pre-appointment research with grace and ease. We chatted like old friends catching up the whole appointment, and I felt smarter and more informed when I left than when I had entered. These people are wonderful!
