I had many complications with my body healing from surgery, and Dr. Jacobsen demonstrated patience, resourcefulness, vigilance, and compassion. Here are a few specific things he did to help with my healing: he had me email him twice a day with pictures of my incisions so he could monitor, provide feedback and directions, and adjust his care for me as needed; he was always quick to respond to my emails and questions; he met me in his office on a Saturday during a holiday weekend to care for me during an important time in my healing; he provided regular and specific directions to my husband as he cared for me at home with the complications. His compassion and reassuring nature were valued as I put my confidence in his expertise to help me through this difficult time. I appreciate him greatly and give him the highest rating with no hesitations. His staff were also extremely helpful. Don't be bothered about calling the office and leaving a message (when someone doesn't answer) or emailing the office; they are very quick to respond with a phone call or email and this is part of their daily business routines, which allows them to care for their patients in person AND to those reaching out to them for miscellaneous reasons. This was different at first for me but I quickly adjusted, understanding their reasons and seeing their quick responses to me. The staff also worked seamlessly with my insurance company, a medical equipment company who came to my home three times a week to monitor and help with the healing process, and with the needed paperwork for my employment. I was always treated with respect, sensitivity, compassion, and excellent care.

My wife recently had cosmetic surgery by Dr. Jacobsen (Dr. J as he is known). Several other physicians we know recommended him. He is very compassionate and caring and has a very easy to navigate website that very educational regarding his services and pricing. The experience was very positive and she and I are very satisfied with the outcome at this early two week post surgery date. He does his surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center Outpatient Surgery Center in Phoenix and it is obvious that the nursing and other staff there hold Dr. J in high regard. He is a humble man who really wants to learn how he can help you. There are posters and awards on display in his office that indicate he is well respected in the greater Phoenix area. His office staff are very thorough and quick to respond to emailed questions.

I would have to say that so far my experience with Dr. J is quit impressive. I do not particularly like going to doctors. As it seems often times the treatment ends up being worse than the original illness to begin with. So I was referred to Dr. J due to surgical incision from two years ago from having a spinal cord stimulator put in my back. Where the battery is placed in my left hip, the incision has never close. I do have to say that the waiting area is very inviting. I would have to say that the staff are very friendly, and they go above and beyond with helping answer any questions.My initial meeting with Dr. J was great, as he understood how nervous I was to be there. He listened to me, when I expressed certain concerns. He did reassure me that although I do have to have surgery, he explained to me exactly what he was going to do, without adding a bunch of scientific names that I would not understand. He assured me that he would take great care in helping with the infection and take the necessary steps to ease any discomfort that I might have.Dr. J seems so far to be extremely understanding, and that is a rare quality that not many doctors have.

Dr Jacobsen performed surgery on the back of my leg to remove melanoma, I also had a sentinel lymph node biopsy at the same time. Dr J is professional, knowledgeable and very dedicated to patient care. I had to have the lymph node incision drained several times and he got me in quickly and also worked around my hectic schedule. I think hes a wonderful surgeon and extreme talent. I can in for a bilateral breast augmentation after having breast fed my 2 sons. What he did to my body and self esteem is immaculate. Im so happy with his hand I work. I had almost NO bruising at all and they gave the the perfect amount of pain medicine to get me though and still functioning. I gave him a 5 star rating because of his skills and professionalism. How ever if you dont come stacked with your own questions and concerns he cant do anything for you. Hes a surgeon who knows all this stuff but not exactly the fountain of information. He will litterly only tell you and give you what you ask for. Dont make him guess or try to let him lead the conversation when it comes to concerns and post up care. Make a list of questions and stick with it. He will answer them all perfectly. Itd help to do your research and bring your own pictures with a cc in mind. HE WILL GIVE YOU WHATEVER YOU ASK FOR!

Dr. Jacobsen and the entire staff are amazing! My 44 year old breast implants had been rupture for probably years without me knowing and an MRI confirmed. After consulting with four other surgeons, I chose Dr. Jacobsen because he is so kind and two of my friends were very happy with outcomes of their surgeries. My plan was to have the implants removed, a lift, and absolutely no new implants! Well, two days before my surgery my husband and friends convinced me that I would not be happy with my appearance. I caved and elected to have an implant exchange. My final words to Dr. Jacobsen were to make sure I wasnt too large! Dr. Jacobsen delivered and I have smaller and higher breast that change my entire profile. The final result is amazing!! I honestly cannot say enough about the entire experience. From the girls at the front to Dr. J, nothing was short of first class excellence met with an one of a kind feeling of being amongst people who really care. Whether its the little things of being offered water for every visit or Dr. J himself, you just get an incredible unrivaled experience here. Dr. J is extremely nice and genuine to say the least, and his work shows! I had a nasty raised scar from a dog bite and was really nervous to have that taken out, but the whole experience was virtually painless and smooth. Not to mention what Dr. J did was just flat out impressive. I can barely even tell there was anything there to begin with..so so thankful.

I was referred to Dr Jacobsen by a friend and medical practitioner for a second opinion on options to treat a skin lesion. I initially saw Dr. Jacobsen soon after initial biopsy from my dermatologist. Dr. Jacobsen evaluated the area and recommended surgical excision. We scheduled the procedure for a month later. Insurance was verified and my portion was prepaid. When I arrived for the excision everything was set and ready for surgery. Dr Jacobsen re-examined the area and told me 'We're not doing this procedure today. I think its improving. Your dermatologist may have taken care of this with his biopsy. We should give it more time'. I thought that took great integrity. He could have easily proceeded as I was prepared. He could have simply proceeded and been paid. He explained to me what to look for moving forward and if worsened or returned to its original form to call him and re-evaluate.He put my welfare before his chance to have a nice pay. I respect him for that . Sometimes doing nothing is the best medicine. He went way up on my scale for trust to do the right thing.

I've had four visits with Dr. Jacobsen over the past 2.5 years, the first after the removal of 1/3 of my bottom lip from skin cancer, and the last for a biopsy of possible skin cancer on my nose. Each time, he has treated me with kindness and respect, and also had a level of confidence that made me feel relaxed with whatever he thought best for the particular problem. Thus far, the results have proven him correct. He has quickly become my go-to for any problem or condition that may create a cosmetic 'issue'. I had a melanoma taken off my cheek and one taken off my neck, both the same size. A Physicians asst stitched the one on my neck and 4 months later there was absolutely no sign of the stitches. Dr Jacobsen (a plastic surgeon) stitched the one on my check and 9 months later there is still a very pronounced scar. Very disappointed with his work.

I couldn't be happier with my procedure. Dr. J has the most kind and relaxing manner and he is the ultimate professional. I had a fatty tumor on my forehead that he removed, as well as breast reconstruction.The breast reconstruction was overdue as I had breast cancer with multiple lumpectomies, biopsies and radiation. It left the tissue hard and my old implant like a rock. He was able to correct all of the problems and I'm much happier with my appearance.Although you may find it odd at first that you can't get anyone by phone their response time is amazing. I emailed the office on a Sunday afternoon that I had a problem and within ten minutes (no exaggeration) I had a text back that a prescription had been called in to my pharmacy.I've had procedures with other doctors around the Valley and never had an experience more pleasant, nor one which I was happier with the results.
