My wife and i are absolutely thrilled with the doc and his staff. He was caring, very skilled and acomplished every thing he promise . My wife had multiple things done all at once and several procedures prior to Dr M and he shines above the other surgeons. After receiving such great care from him and his staff, i dont believe one things the prior bad reviewers said. It sounds like they hate their lifes and spewed it on the doc. Had sclerotherapy, didn't work, he had every excuse. Told me I needed an ultrasound. I have many friends who have had successful sclerotherapy and no ultrasound. He told me to study the venous system. During consult and follow up he gave me a 20 min venous anatomy lesson. He skirted the issue of his failed procedure by telling me to go get educated on veins. Several vein clinics told me an ultrasound is definitely not warranted. My veins were not bad at all. Asked his office what he injected into my legs and they said they can't see it. Called Dr. Merkel many times, he doesn't call back and won't give a refund. $400. Really. Wants to redo after ultrasound. Not one vein was gone after the procedure, compression stockings he gave me were loose, he wouldn't let me watch either, told me no when I asked.

I have type 1 diabetes and have wanted breast augmentation after breastfeeding two children. I have been an R.N. for over 12 years and know the risks of any surgical procedure. I finally decided to consult with board certified plastic surgeons. Dr. Merkle spent nearly 2 hours on the initial consult with me and it quickly became clear to me he was the right surgeon for my procedure. Dr. Merkle was very diligent both pre and post operatively using precautions to prevent any possible complications. I developed a low grade fever D2 post op and he had given me his personal cell phone to call at any time. It turned out to be a side effect of anesthesia, but he was very thorough in monitoring me post operatively. He even came in on his day off to see me just to make sure everything was going as planned. He spent 4 hours in the OR making sure the results were perfect! He uses the highest quality implants and is an extremely skilled surgeon. It is very obvious he is very invested in his patients and their outcomes. I am so happy with my results and would recommend him to anybody. His office staff is incredible as well!

I had a consultation for rhinoplasty and I didnt have good vibes to begin with. After waiting awhile in the room he came in and was more focused on criticizing me on my make up and tattoos than what I was actually there for. He told me I shouldnt be wearing make up and why do I have so many tattoos. Very unprofessional and disrespectful, least to say I left unhappy and didnt follow through with the procedure.
